Wow... how have I not been a constant customer here? I'd share pics, but I ate my portion way too…read morequickly! I took the hostess' recommendation since I was torn between the adobo pork tacos and the 2 meat platter. She suggested sampling just 1 of the tacos and then also getting the 2 meat platter; allowing a good perusal of the offerings there. So delicious was the taco that I was genuinely sad I only had the one. The cilantro crema really highlighted the smoky pork perfectly. It was a short sadness though since I dove into the platter next. I got the pulled pork and shrimp platter with 5 cheese mac-n-cheese and coleslaw. The only better pulled pork I've had is made by my husband. Really impressed with the hostess, the food, and the quickness for takeout. The store is spacious and set up nicely without pretension. The only complaint I can come up with is the location/parking area isn't the best. It's tucked away behind a crappy roadway and parking can be a bit tight for bigger vehicles. Overall... a definite addition to our restaurant visit rotation.

It's been a long time since I came to fire and smoke. My memories are all good. I suspect that…read moreit's still as good today as it was then. But I'm afraid my brisket sandwich did not live up to my memory. The good news is that the twister fries were excellent though not as hot as they should've been. But they were acceptable or I would have returned them. On the downside, I'm afraid of the brisket was fairly tough. Honestly, I've never made brisket. So I can't tell them how to fix that. I still enjoyed it. But I didn't quite finish it and it's very unusual. They deserve another try and I will be back.

I finally made it to this diner. It's been on my list for quite a while. They're semi-famous…read morelocally for their Sunday all you can eat brunch buffet but I went mid-week for lunch to try one of their sandwiches. They have both an inside and outside dining area, the inside being small and cozy, a little bit of an old school diner atmosphere. I grabbed a seat inside and was promptly greeted with a smile and given a menu by the friendly waitress. They had several options that sounded enticing. I inquired about the bacon they used on their BLT but the waitress wasn't sure except that it was a standard thin cut bacon and she thought it was tasty. Preferring thick cut bacon, I finally decided to go with the reuben sandwich with a side of crinkle potato chips. The sandwich was served to me impressively fast, less than 10 minutes and, to my surprise, the waitress offered me a sample strip of their bacon. It was surprisingly good so I may have to go with a BLT next time. Anyway, the reuben was the star of my lunch, served traditionally on perfectly grilled marbled rye bread. The sandwich was delicious, not a large amount of corned beef but enough to be well balanced with the other components of the sandwich. The corned beef itself was sliced sandwich thin, a bit chewy but otherwise delicious. I really enjoyed the sandwich. The potato chips were standard fare but tasted fresh. The highlights of the visit were the friendly staff, fast service, fairly reasonable prices and the free sample of bacon was icing on the cake. I'll return soon with my wife who is sure to order their BLT. I'll probably give their Philly cheese or french dip a try.

I recently visited this place for the first time ever. On Sundays they have an all you can eat…read morebuffet for $14.95 and I wanted to try it. I will say this is an old school diner with everything to match. Luckily the prices matched up with the old school decor. The buffet is set out on the patio and there were plenty of options. From salad, to your favorite breakfast items- eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links, sausage patties, bacon, pancakes. Then there was biscuits and gravy, Mac n cheese mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, pasta, meatballs, brats and some packaged little dessert cakes and muffins. It was a great value for $14.95 and if you have a big family it is an affordable way to eat out and feed the whole family. My server was great, she talked highly of the place and with passion when I mentioned it was my first visit.
