Diner next to a bar on K32 in KCK. Food is great. I've eaten there 3 times now and only have good things to say. I had a Cobb salad the first time. Next time, I had a BLT (leave off the T) with extra bacon and tater tots. Very generous with the tots! Bacon cooked crispy! Monday's special was meat loaf with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and green beans. Now it was just as I expected: a huge slice of dense meatloaf with ketchup on top. No grease whatsoever. I thought my grandma was in that kitchen. Delicious. I couldn't finish it so doggy bagged the rest. It's not at all busy--maybe it picks up after the bar closes. There's usually only 1 person who is taking orders, waiting tables, and bussing. Not much ambiance to speak of, but good food that doesn't come from frozen. A hidden gem! read more

This place has the #1 priority covered - great food! I thought this place got their name from the nearby highway until I stopped in for lunch. I now understand it is a homage to Magic Johnson's jersey number. How do I know this? The food is Magic. I have been a couple of times and cannot seem to get away from 2 items on the menu because they are excellent. The Stallone is a Philly that looks as good as Sly in Rambo. The taste does not disappoint. The onion rings are nearly good too. The New Heights Club is an excellent mixed of KC and Philly. Take a look at the picture of them getting ready to eat it! The place is not much to look at but who cares. If you like fancy ambiance you should not be looking at my reviews. I hate pretentious joints. For Seinfeld fans, the service gives "No Stallone for you vibes" but I will give them the benefit of doubt given the how hard it is to secure and retain good help these days. My daughter and I were from out of town and was looking for a cute little place for breakfast. Ran across this name and sounded interesting and was 10 minutes away from where we were. So we went for it. SO GLAD THIS IS WHERE I FOUND!! Immediately walking in, it automatically had the small diner feel that I absolutely love. The aesthetic was amazing. Seriously, I love these kind of places! There's only 3 tables and a "bar" type along the wall. So it is small. But worth it. The food was no different. Best peanut butter pie we've ever had!! Went in to grab dessert only but we will definitely come back and try the food. The desserts are made fresh and brought in by a third party. Popped in for lunch on my way from west Shawnee to the Legends. It is a little place but there was plenty of seats available, they seemed to be doing a brisk take out business. Ordered the club ham sandwich with fries. It was so good and so big, could definitely have shared. The French fries were great too, hot and crispy. The ketchup is inedible. What a gem!!!! My husband and I were looking for a breakfast place and he remembered seeing this restaurant. It's so quaint and lovely. Rachel, the owner, was awesome. She greeted everyone coming in with joy. I enjoyed looking at the wall decorations. The food came and it was delicious. My husband had biscuits and gravy and his plate was clean when he finished his breakfast. I had an omelet and hash brown. I enjoyed every bite of my food. We will definitely come back!!! read more

Excellent tiny diner in Edwardsville. Serving delicious cooked order smash burgers that come about 10 different ways and delightful sandwiches. I had the 1932 Smashburger it was delicious and they had no problem subbing in a side salad for the fries. (allergies I have food allergies, and I cannot eat their french fries cause they fry shrimp in the same fryer ). They handled my food, allergies. Great. No problems. It was also a pretty good side salad no iceberg- baby greens and tomatoes and cheese. Highly recommend if you're nearby. read more

Second time and again, wasn't disappointed! This time took other family members. All enjoyed as much as we did the first time, so not a fluke. The burgers are juicy and cooked with a nice bit of a crispy edge, but not in a an overcooked way at all. The flavor and texture of their burgers is amazing. Now the fries... oh Lordy! I could just have those and be happy! Oh wait. I did this time! Had the "loaded fries"; crinkle fries cooked to perfection (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside), drizzled in cheese, topped with sour cream, real bacon and chives. The onion rings? I had those last time I visited, are also wonderful! When you bite down, you DON'T pull out the entire onion! It's actually cooked right! And like the fries, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside also. This has officially become our go to spot for "Best Burger Joint"! It should be yours too! read more

I had been meaning to try this place for months and finally went with my wife and 2 friends. As soon as I entered, I knew that it was my kind of place. Small, local, hole in the wall, just like I like local flavor places. There is a partial menu on the wall chalkboard, and one full menu on each table. Burgers, tenderloins and other sandwiches make up the bulk of their offerings. They also offer breakfasts. We loved each of our orders. I had the tenderloin sandwich. Not the largest, nor the smallest I've ever had, but large enough and tasty. Crinkle cut fries were crisp. The spicy burger was good, not too hot but hot enough to get your attention. One member of our party had a sandwich similar to a French dip, which she liked. Another had the Chick Norris grilled chicken sandwich. The final vote was unanimous, we like this place. read more

Nice homey place with good food. The seating capacity is limited to 16 people so I was surprised to get a table right away. The food was really good. It was apparent that the folks in the kitchen take pride in their work. One of the guys in the kitchen poked his head out to ask how they did. Decided to try the Vegan Steven burger and fries. They had offered plant based cheese which was neat. When I tried to look at the burger the cheese was melted to the bun and I don't really eat carbs regularly so that was sort of strange. Still delicious! Walked in to try this place because we had heard good things about it. We were greeted by a woman coming out of the kitchen seemingly stressed and hollered at us saying it would be 10 minutes before she'd be with us so we sat down at a cleared table only to find the table covered with filth. I understand that she was probably busy as there were a few people standing around, however, they appeared to be leaving, or maybe waiting for a carry out order? Regardless, I don't believe that is a proper way to greet customers no matter how busy you are. There's too many other places to eat that I haven't tried since I'm rather new to the area. Super small. Tacos were fresh and tasty. Daily specials all look good and everyone that came in seemed to be repeat customers.

Once again, Grill 32 served a wonderful meal to my family, and we really enjoyed not only the selections but the cheerfulness of the staff--all of them!
