Our pipes came apart and water/ food flooded underneath our cabinets, yet this is not an emergency request and are leaving us waiting for two days to get fixed. They finally renovate the dog park yet they leave the latch broken and old benches sitting outside. The steps got replaced yet they left pieces all over the ground. Absolutely unprofessional and appalling at the lack of detail for a complex that charges close to 3k after their shared amenity fees, etc. read more

During the summer the pool was closed numerous times due to pH balance being off or other cleanliness issues that could have been prevented had they had someone hired to check it daily. The packages system is highly inconvenient. They outsource to Fetch which usually takes an extra day to receive packages & they've lost mine before with no reimbursement. Apartment itself is nice, maintenance for our unit is good, walls are thick, but the hot tub being out for almost a year while still raising my rent $184 this year and $300 the last year is pretty disappointing. Update: the hot tub is broken again since 11/6. The 8 months they spent renovating they clearly used cheap parts because they have to replace a part again read more

My partner and I were definitely nervous about touring apartments during Covid so we did a ton of research online. Griffis Union Station quickly stood out. We made an appointment to tour one model. Tendo was extremely helpful and showed us an even better option. We ended up deciding that this was going to be our new home that day. I do not regret our choice. The amenities are awesome. The office staff are super helpful. We love our unit and the general affordability for the location. We love it here. read more

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. We have never broken a lease, and after 9 months, decided we would rather pay an exorbitant fee and get out of here than live here for 1 minute longer. There have been issues since day 1! -A leasing office that gave us false information about our unit -Consistently broken outside doors, stair treads, elevators, trash chutes -Washer breaking in the middle of the night and ruining clothes -AC out for weeks -Black sludge coming from walls, which turned out to be a leak from the toilet above us -Packages stolen and 0 help from the leasing office -Improper notice about guest vehicles being towed Do yourself a favor, and live in ANY of the other apartment buildings nearby. Why do you think they have so many open units? 5 star reviews are definitely paid for by the building - we have not met a single person who is happy with this place. read more

Let's start with the good news first. Amenities are nice and in working order. Convenient location and the Fetch package service haven't missed a package yet. The biggest concern is the security of the property. Have seen questionable characters lingering around the property everyday. Broken glass bottles, toothbrushes, empty peanut butter jars left by outsiders don't get cleaned up promptly. This all gets magnified at night where there is an inadequate amount of lighting outside the property. They supposedly have a security company that patrols the property + garage multiple times a day, but my roommate and I have never seen them once. There is a Prius from the security company parked in the lot that looks abandoned though. Great. Saw broken windows on multiple cars parked in the garage - this seems to be a pretty common occurrence (just check other reviews and the FB group). We previously lived in an apartment complex with similar amenities that is also close to the rougher parts of town. The management team there provided 24/7 security patrol throughout the property + garage (2-3 people concurrently), and upgraded all streets lamps to much brighter LEDs during our stay. Griffis Union Station is a free-for-all in comparison... The rent being charged seems market for the location and amenities. But I am guessing the security and safety concern experienced by many of the residents here will ultimately lead to much lower rent. read more

I feel as though my experience here has improved so much, it's only fair I update my online reviews to reflect that. First of all, good size apartments, great location and improvements galore! Hi Griffis Team! I was a very unhappy resident for a while there, but the team you have in place now is awesome. Special shout out to Victoria and Wes for excellent customer service this past week. Victoria went above and beyond by helping me carry my large packages out to my car in the bitter cold the other day with a huge smile on her face and Wes was so quick to check in with me, hear me out, ask questions, and provide a follow up after a minor safety concern I had. You guys are really turning it around and I didn't want you to think that all of your hard work was going unnoticed. Thanks so much! :) I realized just how much the customer service provided has changed after having an unpleasant encounter with someone who I believe to be a FORMER employee here and is a fellow resident. I wish I could say this was the first time. Sadly, there are many other residents who've had the same experiences with them. If you have something to say, it's always much more productive to be kind rather than having a look that could kill and screaming at someone across the courtyard. I mean, Yikes! We all have areas of improvement and this individual could benefit from some additional customer service training. As a resident, the unpredictable behavior shown again this evening is a true concern. Anyways, cheers to the current GUS team for treating me with nothing but respect, providing excellent customer service, making me feel as though I'm a valued customer/ tenant and allowing me to be able to relax in my own home once again! Griffis is doing everything it can to flex it's corporate muscles & squeeze as much money as possible from residents. Griffis made a few decent changes when it first bought the building a few years ago but since then it's done very little, in my opinion, to listen to residents issues. Obviously, things are not business as usual over the past few months with COVID. I completely understand how all of the shared spaces needed to be shut down and have had no problem with that. My issue (along with at least 200 other residents I've spoken with) is that they'll use the term amenities when talking about the gym, the pool, the business center, coffee machine in lobby etc. but since these have been shut down and residents are still paying an "amenity fee"; when asked about it Griffis says those are not considered an amenity, just something they include for living here. This is all coming with every other place in the area I've looked into opening up their spaces this past week. When asked about the delay, Griffis then said they need to resurface the pool area and it will be closed for another 2 months through June & July. This is the first anyone's hearing about this and their response (after about 300 of us emailed corporate directly) was to have the manager take personal responsibility for it & apologize for not sharing the info like it was her decision which I just don't buy. My wife & I have lived in this building for 4 years because of the location convenience and being able to use a pool/gym year round but we will not be staying when our lease is up in September. For full disclosure if they had handled this any better the review would be 3 or 4 stars. I won't be able to get over the fact that they are trying to spin it to take advantage of residents financially and are taking no accountability. Just a big national organization that bought an apartment complex to try and make money & since a few angry residents in 1 of their many properties ultimately won't have an affect on their bottom line, it doesn't matter. Something else to keep in mind- Parking garage is included in that amenity fee. There has been a huge increase in car thefts from the garage over the past few months and minimal has been done about that. They've been saying for months they're going to put a fob access on the dog park area so outside residents can't use it for months but that hasn't happened. There are plenty of other apartment buildings within walking distance that will be a better use of your money. Giving credit where credit is due- love all the maintenance workers. They're all super nice & polite people that truly seem to care. Just wish the corporate entity would be similar but by definition that's too much to expect. read more

I really can't begin to express my disappointment since our old manager Carla left, but at this point I'll just let people know that Griffis Residential does not consider resident communication important during the COVID19 crises. Our only way of communication, our Active Building portal, has been intentionally ordered to be left unattended over the weekends when residents have posted warnings of homeless people in our rec room and disturbing photos of dead bodies and sexually explicit content left outside balconies. This happens after an increased number of break ins on the property, including one this weekend. Griffis Residential has made it clear that they do not value resident safety or their residents during one of the worst times in our world's history. Do NOT move here. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Management at Griffis is to blame. Do yourself a favor and live anywhere else. If COVID-19 has done anything, it's allowed us to see business's true colors. In this case, Griffis doesn't give two sh*!s about their residents. Their communication skills could be described as, only offering updated information after being repeatedly asked by multiple residents on the community board. Literally, the ONLY thing their staff has had to keep up on during this pandemic, is to communicate updated info to residents. Big fail. This place is a joke. Other cons: * You will smell the dog poop and pee year round (from your patio or and the courtyard), and they do nothing about holding owners accountable who don't pick up after their dogs. * The parking garage is broken into multiple times a week. People will hot wire and steal cars from this lot. The best they could do was hire front range patrol to park outside the garage door for a week . The second that patrol car left, break-ins continued. * The exterior doors have been broken half my time here. Super unsafe and packages are constantly being stolen from people's front doors. Bottom line, it's bad enough that we're ready to pay the outrageous fee and break our lease. Don't live here. read more

I'm March of 2017, this building was acquired by Griffis Reaidential, and rebranded from Skye 2905 to Griffis Union Station. Initially, my husband and I had a terrible experience with the new management company, as they tried to make us sign a new lease with Griffis, even though we had renewed two weeks before the purchase happened with the previous management company, Monogram (among other issues). In the early days of the management change, there were an alarming amount of security issues and crime on the property. Thankfully, things started to turn around after Griffis implemented the new onsite security guards, which is why I am updating this review from one star to four. Thank you for listening to your residents, and taking our concerns seriously. I wish changes had been implemented quicker, but at least crime in the building seems to have decreased as of late. Additionally, Griffis has made some great improvements to the property including the new lights in the garage, which make it so much brighter, and makes me feel a lot safer in there at night. I'd also like to give a HUGE thank you to Carla in the front office. Any issue my husband and I had during our time in this complex, she solved immediately. Honestly, she's one of her primary reasons we lived in this complex for so long. read more

My experience at Griffis Union Station has been nothing but positive. The staff is friendly and professional and anytime I submitted a maintenance request I received a prompt response. The staff was attentive to all my needs, specifically with general questions I had about my lease making the application and move in process seamless. I enjoyed the pool in the summer and the mini dog park was key for me as it allowed me to not have to travel far for my dog's needs. In general, the complex is clean and I always felt very safe and secure. The location is prime as it is within walking distance of downtown bars and restaurants and for all these reasons, I highly recommend the Griffis Union Station to any prospective renter! read more

Tamara and the rest of the managers are always willing to help out and be accommodating to the best of their abilities! They have a gym, a dog park, a heated pool and hot-tub, a game room, and a courtyard! What more could you want! I just wanted to share from my experience living here to help others out. We signed our lease without ever seeing the place in person so we relied heavily on online reviews. I thought it was time to pay it forward! The front office staff is great. Extremely friendly and efficient. If you treat them with respect, they will treat you the same way. Maintenance team is wonderful and they often fixed our requests in 24 hours. Not the friendliest resident community, so if you are looking for an apartment complex where you might make friends, this might not be the place for you. People are fine, but this isn't a building where you are likely to get to know your neighbors. I think this probably has more to do with the residents all being at different stages of life, and that's okay! The pool is great on weekdays, but good luck getting a seat on weekends. The fresh-out-of-college residents seem to invite their 20 closest friends over to party all day. With that being said, the pool is frequently closed for cleaning because of these parties. Grills are also hard to come by most of time, and residents don't seem to put much effort into keeping them clean. I'm honestly not sure if it's better to live above the dog park or the pool. Both spaces get noisy at times and smelly based on the time of day. I adore dogs but almost everyone here has a dog and they all use the dog park. This means the area almost always smells like dog urine, and so does a lot of other areas of the property because people let their dogs out to pee on the rocks or sidewalks. Otherwise for the location and the price, this is a great apartment. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing, but for the affordable price- who cares. I feel safe in the building, just always be sure to lock your car (on the street or in the garage) and keep any items in your vehicle hidden. I also appreciate that packages are delivered into lockers and not just left in a jumble for anyone to grab from. TLDR- Great location and secure building that will satisfy your basic needs! read more

Awful awful place to live! Honestly I would not wish this place on anyone. At one point it was a great place, but has gone so far down hill in the past year and half that I can actually take a breath and be living somewhere so much better than there. Thought the oh-so love experiences with the leasing staff and ever so incompetent manager there was over, but just moved out and they are trying to erroneously charge me for everything. They either want you to pay an extreme amount for them to clean the apartment, or you can clean everything before you vacate, but they will still find any and every charge possible to still bring it to that amount so they can just get their $$$. I even did a walk through with the assistant manager Aidan, and he checked off everything and said it all looked great, and yet I am still getting charged. Funny how that works out huh? Honestly I am happy to finally be out of this place, but the gift of Griffis just keeps on giving. The location may be enticing, but trust me, there are so many other places you can live and will have a lot better living experience. read more

However to me what really stands out is the Griffis Union Station team. The maintenance is fast and the property is kept wonderfully. We have worked with Carla in the front office during our time at Griffis and she has really sent my love for the community over the top. If you are looking to live in this community- DO IT! Don't live here. Lack of security, cleanliness, respectful staff and general quality of life. At this point, I don't know anyone who's car HASN'T been broken into. The garage doors were broken for months and varies criminal activity was happening within the garage. Garage door openers were stolen, so even though the door is now fixed, these criminals can enter whenever they want with the stolen garage door openers! Doors into the building don't lock, carpets are stained with dog feces, urine and god knows what else. Hallways smell like trash, homeless people poop/camp by the loading dock. While griffis has brought back the security, they must have chosen the cheapest losers they can find. Guards have been caught sleeping on the job and my car was broken into during their "patrol." Overall just a general "half-assed" feel around this place, which is unacceptable considering the price. read more

We have loved living in Griffis (formerly Skye). Sure, they had a management change, which will always cause some tenants to get upset, but we think that they have handled it well. It seems like they had some issues with their 3rd party vendors for awhile (security & elevator), but it seems like those logistics are being worked out, and the actual management company & apartment complex has been great! We chose this apartment complex because we love the proximity to downtown & King Soopers, yet it's still a quiet neighborhood with free street parking. The inside is beautiful--tall ceiling, wood floors, washer/dryers, lots of light, etc. The building is built well, and we have never heard our neighbors, which is amazing! We also have a dog, and it's so nice that there's a dog park in the complex so that our pup can run around & get his energy out without having to walk a few blocks to a park. The team in the office has been WONDERFUL to work with, and they are so much of the reason that we love living here. They have taken their time to get to know us & our dog, and are always quick to answer questions. We recommend it! read more

I love living at Griffis Union Station. I've been here since October 2017 and will renew my lease in January for another 15 months. The amenities are great and so is the staff and the maintenance. If I need something done in my apartment it is done right away and done right! Carla Panarelli is a wonderful manager at Griffis Union station. She is always very helpful and informative and very nice! My questions always get answered and any problems are remedied very quickly! The apartment complex is kept up very well and is very high class! And I love being close to Coors Field and all the great restaurants! Great place to live! read more

I lived at Griffis Union Station for 6.5 years and the staff is what kept me there. During my time at Griffis, Carla consistently went above and beyond to help me with a few issues I had. She was always friendly and professional and was always prompt in communicating updates, resolutions, etc. The location was great and when Griffis Residential bought the property a few years ago, they made a lot of great improvements to the community. The only reason I am giving this four stars is because of some of the residents. In my 6.5 years living in this community, I found that a number of the residents are selfish and do not think about their fellow neighbors. From letting their pets relieve themselves in the hallway and not cleaning it up, to consistently partying in their units at all hours of the day/night, etc. The poor maintenance staff and the front desk staff work tirelessly to keep the community clean and an enjoyable place for everyone to live and certain residents are incredibly disrespectful. read more

We recently relocated to Denver from NJ and Victoria went above and beyond to make us feel right at home! She is thoughtful, caring and just amazing!! We've been living here for about a week and we absolutely love it! We looked at many new apartments within LoDo and RiNo area, and we're so happy we ended up at Griffis. The location is fantastic, the amenities are awesome, and you can't hear the neighbors so it's been great. I have lived here for over a year and couldn't be happier. The location is great, with a King Soopers and Whole Foods to walk to within minutes. Bars, restaurants, pizza, SUSHI! Everything is super close by, but at the same time you aren't quite in the thick of all the downtown craziness. Gio, Carla and Bri are the best team in Denver. I have lived on the property for 3 years now and I thoroughly regret renewing my lease for this past year. I agree with other comments, such as the gym has sub-par equipment (the treadmill headphone jacks haven't ever worked), the garage door is frequently broken, guest parking has been historically terrible, and having dogs on leashes is poorly enforced, however my primary disappointment comes from the mouse problem I've had in my apartment for nearly two months now. I have seen mice in my apartment and found their droppings in my bed and cookware, and I feel that management has not made this a top priority. I have repeatedly reached out to management and have been told to give it more time. They have had an exterminator come for weekly treatments over the past 4 weeks, but they seem incompetent. They reported that there were no further signs of infestation when I clearly had new droppings underneath my sink and in my bed frame drawers. They have done a poor job, overall. Management had not once been to my apartment to assess the problem, either. I have asked to arrange an in-person meeting with management and that has yet to happen. Sure, the location is great and the pool is open all year, but I would never recommend anyone else live here based on my recent experiences. read more

I am and have been a resident at Griffis Union Station for a couple of years and had I been writing this review in my first year, I would have rated this property 4 stars, unfortunately, the building and management has degraded to the point of barely earning 1 star. The building is quite literally falling apart. The outdoor stairs are and have been crumbling and breaking off for over a year, the elevators consistently break down, railing and control panels are falling off in the elevators, pipes leak in the stairwell, the area around the mailboxes smells like rotten garbage, door way frames that lead to the elevators are falling apart, vehicle break-ins happen on a regular basis in the garage, opening your balcony door in the summer will invite a barely breathable urine soaked smell into your apartment, hallway carpets are dirty, at times you'll find homeless people in the building, there are half destroyed speed bumps that are not fixed... this list goes on and on. Taking your complaints to management will only elicit a myriad of excuses and zero action. Management is often dismissive and demeaning to resident complaints. Management does little to enforce their own policies often leaving tenants that do follow their protocol at the mercy of those that do not. Do not rent here, there are far better options in the neighborhood at the same price. read more

Just 6 months ago I was in the same place as 90% of the people who read these reviews aka avid apartment seekers in lower downtown area. I learned quickly that many yelpers tend to not give a good review as one thing did not work out for them, so sitting behind a computer and taking out their frustrations is more productive than approaching the staff with their concerns. Griffis at Union Station has been nothing but wonderful since we moved in. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Carla especially since she was the first leasing agent we met. The amenities are wonderful and the staff goes above and beyond to keep them clean. The Gym & Pool are my favorite part. Oh yes and the coffee machine!! Lastly the location is great! located right in between the lower highlands and lower downtown. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars. Not to mention the grocery store and the liquor store are steps away from Griffis at Union Station. Biggest highlight so far was being able to listen to Zac Brown Band on my balcony when he played at Coors Field as well as the fire works display they shot off at Coor Stadium. If you are new to Denver or just love being in the mist of the city life this is the place for you. Its hidden enough that you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the city. read more
