Amazing service and great ambiance. Every dish we ordered was amazing. Seafood cold app, seafood grill, red snapper and all the salads were SO good. Even their butter for the bread was the best Ive ever had. Cannot WAIT to go back!

Had a fantastic dinner at Griffin tonight .Everything from the minute you walk in -sends great vibes. Service and food were above top notch . My new go to restaurant in Roslyn- have to check it out !!! Must say it's so beautiful- made me happy just being there .

Delicious! Food was excellent. The mussels were amazing in garlic and wine sauce. We asked for more bread to soak up the broth. I was hoping to have the ahi tuna salad but they ran out. The burger was not a disappointment!. It was delicious! My husband loved the schnitzel. We were perfectly full, but no room for dessert.!

To celebrate Valentine's Day, my wife and I enjoyed a $38 three-course prix fixe lunch. Although…read morethe public parking lot was full, we managed to find a spot for $2 for two hours. The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

The place is quite spacious upon walking in - a bar area when you walk in, a larger dining area as you walk further in past the stairs, another bar and dining area upstairs, a private room upstairs, and an outdoor patio. For appetizer, I tried the crispy sushi and it was delicious! There are 4 pieces of different fish served on top of a crispy rice. My colleague got the burrata and it smelled/looked amazing as well! For entree, I got the burger which was perfectly cooked but did not have any seasoning so be sure to add some sauce of your liking. It did come with fries that were beautifully fried and seasoned. For dessert, I got the cookie sampler which came with 2 of 5 different cookies - chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sugar, sesame, and chocolate. The cookies were fresh and they came out warm and soft. My favorites in this order are oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and chocolate. Everyone else got the cheesecake with whip cream or chocolate cake with Ice-Cream. The cake slices were pretty big and heavy. Very nice ambiance and our server was attentive/helpful! Will definitely be back to the more things on the menu.

I had the eggs Benedict with salmon and the eggs were cooked perfectly, nothing runny on the outside and the yolk with just enough firmness around the edge to hold its shape but plenty of golden lava to dip into. The first thing that surprised me was how packed the restaurant was on a Monday night. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of the food and service. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout the evening. Everything we ordered was excellent. The tuna appetizer was incredibly fresh, the crab cake was packed with flavor, and the short rib was fall apart tender and cooked to perfection. We also shared a pizza that disappeared quickly from the table because it was just that good. The cocktails were well made, and even dessert was a standout, the perfect ending to a birthday dinner. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between upscale and comfortable, making it ideal for date nights, celebrations, or simply a great dinner out. It's not often that a restaurant excels across appetizers, entrées, drinks, and dessert, but Hendrick's Tavern manages to do exactly that. If you're considering a visit, make a reservation, even on a weekday. A packed Monday night tells you everything you need to know.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. Good (not great), pricey and very close to my hotel room!
