On Nov 14th, bus scheduled from Seattle WA departing at 0715am to Pasco WA arriving at 1150am. The bus station was closed at this time, it was below 40 degrees outside, me and about 20 other passengers waited for 2 hours and no bus came. There was no updates on the online bus tracker, when we called the customer service line they said they didn't have any updates either and just referred us to the online bus tracker (which had no info about the bus despite it being 2 hours past scheduled departure time) or the local bus station (which was closed). No passenger was able to find out any information about the bus, if it was delayed, by how long, or if the route had been cancelled or what. The station opened at 0830 but he didn't have any information either. He was able to talk with someone and eventually found out that "our driver wasn't fresh" but would be coming at a delayed time, still unknown. The driver arrived after 9am and told us they were a per diem driver they flew up to help because they were short staffed. The bus ended up taking us on the original route but about 2.5 hours behind schedule. The communication and availability of relevant bus/schedule information to affected passengers is unacceptable. If something is changed about a passenger's bus or schedule, they need to be notified, and when customers call the only customer service line (because local bus stations are often closed) those agents need access to relevant real-time information regarding greyhound buses/schedules as well. The phone agents are useless, all they can tell us is what is on the online bus tracker, the online bus tracker was not updated. Greyhound needs to improve their system and make real-time updates available to passengers. They need to be able to inform passengers when their bus is delayed, when it is canceled all together, and new ETAs/plans to modify existing transfers when original legs of the journey are delayed or cancelled. The unreliability of greyhound services is both unprofessional and unacceptable. Ticketed customers need real-time access to bus status, delays in schedule beyond the online bus tracker, because that had no information about our bus when it was delayed for 2 hours. Only once the bus started on the route did the bus tracker update with delayed departure time. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

It's honestly not as bad as everyone makes it out to be! I took a three hour bus trip from this greyhound station to Bellingham. The thought of the trip was really scary-- I was only 17 at the time, all alone, never been to Seattle before, never been on a greyhound, and the whole trip was at night. But it was really not a big deal. It's Seattle, everyone is super friendly and nice. There are TVs at the station and I laid down on the bench and watched a few episodes of modern family before the bus arrived. Also enjoyed the vending machines with good snacks. There was free wifi and outlets in both the station and the bus. Just have your wits about you and you'll be fine! I didn't have anything to be so freaked out about. read more

My teen daughter planned to surprise us during spring break by taking a Greyhound from Washington State University to Seattle and from the bus station she was going to take an Uber for her flight at Seattle-Tacoma. During the bus trip, she was ATTACKED by a deranged passenger, who also grabbed her phone and destroyed it. After the police removed the nut off the bus and took a report. My daughter had to use the bus driver's phone to disclosed her planned surprise and apprise us of what had taken place. I called Greyhound to see if they could help with getting her to the airport. (since her Uber arrangements were unavailable due to the demolished phone.) No chance. It turns out customer service is based out of Manila, Philippines. By the time she arrived at the airport, she missed her flight and had us scrambling seeking other options. Signed Not Happy read more

Warning to all passengers do not ride on either Greyhound Bus Lines or Bolt Bus (owned by Greyhound.) This is all the reasons why you should be concerned. Their buses are dilapidated garbage that at any given moment if pulled into a weigh station the Department of Transportation will more than likely red tag the bus, which means placing it out of service right on the spot. The reason for this is because whenever a driver places the equipment out of service for safety issues. The garage doesn't fix the problem, but just places the bus back in service. Because, the mechanics are not given the time or the parts needed to fix most of the problems. Therefore, the chances are very good that you're riding across country in a bus that should not even be on the road. Furthermore, always calculate a minimum of 48-72 hours for any and all delays when traveling across country. Hell, add at least 8-12 hours of delays even when traveling in the Pacific Northwest! Another thing you should all know it's Greyhound management department that tampers with driver's electronic logs only to give DOT the appearance of being in complete compliance. The reality is no driver is in 100% compliance for the hours of service rules that are supposed to be followed. You're better off either taking your own car or renting a car to drive yourself vs. boarding a Greyhound or Bolt Bus. I used to be a driver for Greyhound, but with their deliberate disregard of correcting safety issues when discovered and reported only resulted in me having to contact the DOT and report them, because I was concerned for both passenger and my own personal safety when driving their garbage buses. DOT actually took my concerns seriously enough that they had put an entire fleet of Greyhound and Bolt buses out of service on their return trips from Vancouver BC to Seattle. When they pulled each one in for a DOT inspection. Let that resonate with you all once. In retaliation for standing up for passenger and my own safety while driving their dangerous buses I was terminated from their company. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I got to my bus station an hour early just so u was there in time and didn't miss the bus. 8:55 came around so we all got in line and waited, 9:15 hit still no bus. 2 hours later at 11:00 the bus finally arrives and when me and my partner tried to enter the bus they didn't allow us because we were so late that if we took that bus we would miss our other one to Salt Lake City! The worst experience I've ever ever had I'll never take greyhound again. And they won't even refund my tickets! read more

This station isn't great. I've ridden through here several times and my experiences have been chaotic and unorganized. My bus was supposed to leave at 5:10 and it is now 5:45 and we have just left. The bus is not full, and they announced a delay for mechanical issues and then an employee came back to say "Ladies and Gentleman I lied, your bus is here." Leaving everyone confused as to if the bus had issues or just wasn't there. Just very disorganize. It's difficult because there aren't many great options for travel but the convenience of the Greyhound, which it should be know for, has not been proven to me. read more

This greyhound station has moved and the address on my nephew's e-ticket was wrong, ridiculous!!!!!

A friend of mine took greyhound from eastern Washington to here. Checked 4 times that they booked his ticket for pm instead of am. Well they lied. So he had to pay $20 to change his ticket they screwed up. He goes to the Seattle office with my daughter. She is told at 13 she is not allowed in there and has to go outside. He has a service dog. He is told his service dog is not allowed in there. Victoria was a rude and condescending bitch to him. She only did the change because her boss told her to. Otherwise she would have ignored him. All she did was bark at him. Thankfully he got home safe. Will I ever use greyhound when she is on duty. Hell no. The fact my child is not welcomed in the station because she is a child is another problem. Victoria needs to be fired. read more

Take the Bolt Bus or Amtrak instead. I took a chance because of the $22 one way fare to Portland and ended up on a bus with no air conditioning and a volatile driver who rudely treated a handicap person with a dog. The bus was nearly empty for a reason. The toilet had toilet paper and that is the best thing I can say about that experience. read more

Nothing bad to say about the Seattle station on royal brougham except the bathrooms. .. Maybe toilet liners would be sanitary!! But would say the timing on when the bus arrived was really off and when asked the guy said he had no idea when it would be in and no way of checking. Maybe they should hook up a gps to see where other busses are at. Dumb. Original eta 545 pm... it's after 9 and still no bus! read more

I had a terrible experience at this bus station. When I arrived and was waiting for my ride, I was harassed by a transient for about 15 minutes. Nothing against the station but maybe they should be more proactive. I had a worse experience on my return trip. They searched me (this has never happened before at any other greyhound stations) and they confiscated my vaporizer and cannabis pipe. Not only am I medical patient, but I am of legal age and was not transporting anything illegal at all, nonetheless between state lines or even country lines. They have never had a problem with me bringing my vape or paraphernalia before, and I didn't have any product on me either. It's extremely irritating that I lost $70-$80 worth of supplies when there has never been an issue before. The Bellingham station is much nicer than the Seattle one, and I will be taking bolt bus from now on. read more

It's bizarre that a place in the middle of Seattle's posh downtown district could be so ratty and grim. You won't want to spend a minute more than necessary here, but it's not the worst Greyhound station I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. (That honor would go to Amarillo, Texas.) The counter staff were at least mildly helpful, and our bus only left 30 minutes late. read more

I've been here a few times before discovering Bolt. It isn't the place that you want to stay too long in if you're waiting for a bus home. It is sad, feels like a prison and has that whole "You're being taken away feeling." No wifi and no real food places. Staff are really horrible and rude....every time. This new location is a bitch to get to in a sketchy hood. read more

Got up at 6:00am and took an Uber to catch a 7:10am greyhound. I'm going from Seattle to Olympia and have a duffle and backpack and didn't want to travel with on public transit and though greyhound would be easier for $17 rather than transferring like 3 buses. I get here and the bus is delayed by 2 hours and the lady at the front desk is hella rude. I told her I could have taken the bus 2x as fast as this vintage greyhound. It's been over 2 hours with no updates. This is my first and last time taking greyhound and I'm going to call and get my $ back. Oo and I can still hear the lady at the front desk telling people to "sit down, the bus is late and we're waiting for an update." Whadda bitch! People have been waiting for 3 hours just about. Fuck the stupid greyhound in the ass. read more

I ride greyhound bus many times. But today Feb 8, 2015 was the worse bus ride. Coming from Yakima going seattle. The bus smell like pee. I was getting sick for 3 hrs . I'm not sure if they even take time to clean the bathroom or the driven even smell it. Or decide to ignore it.. But wow I'm speechless about this situation... I hope they take time to even fix or clean the bus.. We are customer that paying the right fair.. Smells like a urinal here. The homeless woman in the lobby put a name badge on all 16 of her grocery bag luggage. Its required.

I wanted to pay over the phone for bags on a ticket I had already purchased. This is not possible. This is terribly inconvenient. The person on the phone was not in the least helpful. I did not enjoy my experience at all. read more

I was calling greyhound to exchange my ticket for the Time and they would not let me change time unless I pay A service change fee of $20 and also when I was talking To them on the phone for almost an hour and the lady failed to mention that I need to print the changed Ticket and I told her I am not able to have access to a printer. Then transfers me to a manager but it was just another rep and told me the same thing they were Very rude and then had audacity to hang up on me. I wouldn't recommend them at all they are the worst Public service I have ever encountered and do not Care about there customers at all. read more

She insisted that it didnt even know where WA is didnt matter because she used tools to make reservations!!! read more

I think I got passed the same bottle of Old English twice during one sitting waiting for my bus. Needless to say it smelt and tasted more like cat piss then beer, but I'm not a terribly picky guy, plus I was terribly tired and couldn't quite see straight (what the hell was in that bottle I was sipping?). I'm fairly certain I got to where I was going 4 times slower than what it would have taken me to walk there, but at least I was marginally warm while I took the bus. read more

My bus was delayed 2 hours and none of the staff was available to help. What could have been a 45 minute Uber turned into a 2 hour wait. My Uber got here before the bus came. The place was a mess and the staff was never nearby, just take a Uber or walk instead of going here. read more

Dirty and way too small. The counter people can sell you a ticket for a destination but can't tell you if the next bus is sold out, or when exactly the bus after that will come. They can't give you a daily bus schedule and need to check the departure and arrival times of each bus individually. They have spelled my name incorrectly on my tickets despite copying it off my ID. Lots of people sitting around with no idea of when they will get to leave. Very few chairs and they sometimes harass you for sitting on the ground. You can't line up separately for different buses which makes everything chaotic when two buses are departing around the same time. Security is just for show. I've watched a security guard harass an elderly paying customer who fell asleep in a chair, making her pick up her bags and walk around because "you can't sleep in here." At the same time a kid who had been kicked out for loudly selling drugs in the building came back in and started trying to open all the locked storage lockers. It's always a depressing and uncomfortable place to spend time. On the plus side it's in a central location. Also, I once got food poisoning and spent an hour throwing up in the washroom and security didn't find this out of the ordinary enough to bother me. read more

I was trying to leave Seattle on 2.23.2020 i had a family emergency and i needed to get home and i have never had so much trouble getting out of Seattle before. first the bitch at the counter was rude and acted like it inconvenienced her to help me change my ticket for the day i wanted to leave. Second the bus was extremely late I left the station after waiting nearly 2 hours for the damn bus to show up in the first place. Their lame ass excuse was they had a new driver. we spent 30 something dollars for the damn ticket. Their customer service skills are seriously lacking they act like they don't really care if people are able to catch their bus or not. I am just glad that i have awesome family members who had a plan b for me to get to where i needed to be. at least the other bus line that leaves out of the same station is RELIABLE!!!! read more

Your classic dirty bus station! Every time I go, there is a huge line waiting to buy a ticket because there is one employee at the counter. But hey its greyhound, what do you expect! read more

I regularly use Greyhound to get up to Bellingham, and generally don't have any problems. But today, I was stuck in traffic and missed my bus. The no refunds or transfers policy SUCKS, but what was worse was that I was waiting to be helped at the ticket counter for such a long time. The woman helping the man in front of me informed me that she was cashed out and there would be someone else coming to help me. Another girl unlocked a door for this woman, and left, as I was standing there obviously waiting to be helped. I proceeded to wait for almost 20 minutes. When I finally was helped, by the same girl who had unlocked the door, there was absolutely no apology for how long I had been waiting. This is such poor customer service!! I can't stress how much of a difference customer service makes in peoples' experiences. I was extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, I will have to keep using greyhound because I am without a car. But I would warn future travelers about the lack of customer service at this station. Be prepared to wait!! read more

Left me stranded and out $30. It was great. You can tell they're focused on customer satisfaction.

This bus company is awful. i had a bus scheduled to leave at 5:40, and as instructed I arrived an hour early. However, once 5:40 rolled around no bus was here, OR workers to help organize the enormous crowd of people. I then patiently waited until 6:15 for a bus to finally arrive, and let the passengers on off before then boarding. They finally let people on the bus at around 6:30, and did not depart until 6:40, therefore an entire hour late with NO warning, or information. Never using Greyhound again and do not recommend. read more

Horrible station, would not recommend unless its your only choice. they have lousy receptionist and horrible conditions.

Okay, guys, it's not that bad! Although, I suppose it might depend on what bus you're taking and what hours. I was there during the afternoon/evening times and went from Seattle to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Whistler. There were no scary people on the bus or in the waiting area. The bathrooms were okay and there's an arcade for kids to play, and tons of plugs for you to charge your electronics. They even had wi-fi at the station and on a few of the buses (The quality of the buses was definitely varied. Some were old and had no wi-fi or plugs. One had plush leather seats, wi-fi, and plugs, the whole shebang. Note for those traveling to Canada: We had wi-fi on the bus when we left Seattle, but then it stopped as soon as we got to the border.) Staff were all nice. Three of my buses were more or less on time. The only one that had an issue was the first bus, which left almost an hour late because they had to replace the fan belt, and then broke down right after we crossed the border because something ripped up the fan belt again (Is there a wolverine living in the bus engine??), and we had to wait for a second bus to come pick us up. We ended up arriving in Vancouver three hours late. (some of that was the border crossing as well. We left on Thanksgiving Eve so it was particularly busy that day.) Oh, and the Bellingham Greyhound station? NICE. read more

The bus ride from Richland to Seattle was great. We stopped only 3 times. The bus driver was courteous and the drive was on time. Thought I would give a good review since most reviews are from people who had problems. Key is to be patient read more

I'm still sitting here at the station more than two hours after my bus was supposed to leave. I'm going to miss Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Greyhound has been extremely disorganized and the staff completely unhelpful. A bus arrived about an hour late, but apparently that was the 'express bus' (lol) and less than half of our group was able to board before it was full. So due to their poor planning or overbooking or something, we have to wait for another one. We had to ask a staff member repeatedly before they told us that the driver of the second bus called in sick and they had to find another one, and who knows when they'll be here. No apologies, no announcements, no nothing. Saying that we're being treated like cattle would be generous. Never again. read more

Sorry it is not possible to rate in the negative numbers. Now you too can experience third world travel in the United States!! My father purchased a ticket through greyhound busses to attend his father's funeral in salt lake city, ut. He was suppose to catch the bus in Columbia this morning at 4:50 a.m. the bus never showed up, we waited for over an hour. After calling their customer care they said that the bus had already left. After speaking with several supervisors from greyhound, they are refusing to refund my father his money, and said that they would show him to take another bus, but not only will it make him miss the funeral, but they wanted to charge him a fee to exchange his ticket because of their mistake. I really want to get the word out so that nobody else has to go through this, because now my father will not be able to attend the funeral all because of greyhound. read more

Rude at the counter. Then when waiting on the bus they wait until you've been sitting for one hour to tell everyone it will be another 1.5 hours until we leave. The "new" website functions as if it was built in 1995. I will never take greyhound again. read more

Beware trying to pick up packages here. An agent outside told us to press the buzzer to get inside, and when we didn't immediately do so because we were waiting for our friend with the van, he accused me of cutting him off and started yelling at me for a good 10 minutes. When I tried to explain myself he kept yelling at me again. I have almost never been yelled at like that before. I was in tears for an hour. read more

Well, it was nearly three years ago since the last time I traveled from Lewiston, Idaho (my hometown) to Seattle, Washington on the Greyhound Bus (the Lewiston-Spokane rout took place on the Northwestern Trailways Bus). Worst experience ever. We printed out our tickets because it was an option online, and they complained about how we should've done print at the place. The people working there were super sketch. We usually take Bolt bus but we bought tickets too late and had to be happy with Greyhound. We biked there and upon arrival we were greeted by rude attendants and told that we have to pay 50$ a bike (100$ total). This has never been a problem with Bolt bus, we always just show up and they put our bikes under the bus for free (as it should be). After much stress, we had to hire Uber with a friend out To the station and pick up our bikes which ran us at 45$ (more than our ticket back) and a huge favor we had to ask of a friend. Once actually on the bus, we saw that there was more seats next to each other for my girlfriend and I to sit with each other. She asked out loud if it's okay for anyone to switch so we can sit together and we were completely ignored by a full bus. The driver finally got on and gave us his threatening speech about not ruining the bus and always listening t the bus driver or something bad will happen. Overall a horrible experience. We will never be using Greyhound again. read more
