The car was booked to pick me up from my hotel in Warrensburg at noon, the destination - Lake George. I was quoted $30. On the 1st of May, not only was the car 20 minutes late, but he also had picked up another passenger who was already sitting in the car's back seat. I called the dispatcher and asked if she could send another car for me since the driver of this trip had essentially turned my pre-booked ride into a ride share, and I didn't have any luck with convincing her to send another car for me and my ride. So I pretty much had to get into the car (the car that I HAD BOOKED FOR MYSELF) with this sketchy driver and some other guy in the back seat who seemed really stressed as he unloaded to the driver about his homelessness, and I asked the driver if there was some way that my $30 fare would be discounted since my ride turned into a ride share without any prior notice or consent. The driver's response: "THIS IS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! THERE'S NO DISCOUNT!" Wait, what? Why are you raising your voice at me? And how is this public transportation, I literally called Consolidate Taxi Services, a private company, to book this trip just yesterday? How exactly does that qualify as a "public transportation?" What is really going on here? I was so mad I just got quiet and played my soothing music in my headphones, zoning out as much as I possibly could so that my resting-bitch-face wouldn't be so glaringly obvious to everyone. Additionally, the driver had his cell phone in his lap and was texting with someone for the whole of the ride. While he was driving! I couldn't wait to get out of that vehicle, I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! I would not suggest this company to anyone else. Call a different service, this one does not take their business serious at all. It's a joke.

First time trying out rail bike and it was fun! Came here during the Memorial Day weekend. Went on…read morethe Revolution Rail Thurman Station Run in Warrensburg, which is about 20 mins from Lake George. The duration of the entire trip is 2 hours. Best to make online reservations in advance as the timeslots get filled fast especially on the weekends. Option for a tandem (double) $90 for 2 people or four seater (quad) bike for $160. Hand brake is the the back on the quad... and on the right side for the tandem. Bring water, bug spray, sun screen and wear closed toed shoes. Get there 20 minutes before the start of the tour to check in and sign a wavier form, use the restrooms (2 gender neutral) and wait for instructions. The staff will go over the rules before you head out including maintaining safe distance between the bikes as these are not bumper cars. Secure your valuables in a bag that won't drop out of the basket which is location behind the seats of the bikes...especially car keys and phones. The ride is about 40-45 mins each way. After everyone is on board their respective bikes, the staff generously helps you take a picture before you head off. The staff will ride in front and in the back of the entire tour. This is a good workout.. actually not too strenuous on the legs but will definitely feel it after in the core between chest and stomach if one doesn't work out. The 1st half the ride is from Thurman Station to 1000 Acre Ranch where everyone will get a 15 minute break to go get a drink, use the restroom and/or see the animals on the ranch. In the meantime, the staff will turnaround all the bikes in preparation to head back. The bike you came on is the same back your ride back on. The ride back is just as fun and luckily had nice weather though it was a bit hot. Take plenty of pictures and enjoy the views. Will definitely come back and try a different ride for fall foliage or perhaps the same one. Hoping for nice weather again as well. The only minus here is that the welcome center is only open from 7a to 7p and when it's closed, the restrooms are also closed. That's not a huge problem for me as I have facilities on board, but passenger vehicles do not. US-4 is a pretty quiet road. I arrived here at 9:00 pm and departed at 6:30 am. Vermont is a state unlike any other. Then again, this can probably be said about all the states…read more Each has something unique to offer. The state is up north and its claim to fame is maple syrup. That and the tons and tons of snow it gets during the winter. Or at the very least that's why we went. We wanted to experience it firsthand. We stopped at the welcome center and learned quite a bit. There are pamphlets everywhere. Charts, too, depicting who is from the state, who died from the military, and even movies made in the state. Did you know that Beetlejuice was filmed there? Other than that, I cannot say much. There are bathrooms, but I did not use them. There is coffee, but I did not have any. Oh, and there are soda machines for snacks. Come to think about it, there were attendants, but they were having a cup of coffee. Then again, it was Christmas Eve and it was in the teens. I really didn't notice them until the end. This is just a tranquil place that you can go at your own pace. Feels attendants are there just in case.

Checkin was a breeze, they just need a credit card for incidentals. The room comes with a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, a safe, and a flat screen TV. The air conditioning was definitely welcome during the hot summer. The room was definitely comfortable. I didn't have any problems falling asleep and didn't have the noisy neighbor/kids running down the hallway problems that I've faced in other cities. The shower was good too. The only complaint I have is that the towels are too small. The breakfast consists of muffins, coffee, and orange and apple juice. There is a Price Chopper across the street if you need anything else. However, I found the Price Chopper to be quite expensive. If you're looking for a place to stay without the extra frills, then this is the place to be.

This last stay we had employees be very rude to us when there was no need for it. A simple reminder was all that was needed. We paid ahead for a late check out and the morning of our check out we had no water pressure so left early, since we couldn't use water to do anything in the camper. The office manager Patty is rude and has no moral values of doing the right thing for the customer. On Thursday July 19th we checked into Ledgeview CC, we knew we had a balance due as the campground emailed my wife of the balance due of $213 for the 8 day stay. During the check in the woman behind the counter (Patty) said the amount was incorrect and that the booking website calculated the good sam discount on the weekly rate which was already a discounted rate for the week. And that the good sam discount would only be honored on the additional day. So the additional amount due was $43. We took issue with Patty as she was the person that emailed my wife with the remaining balance due of $213. She should have noted in the email that they won't honor the Good Sam discount on weekly rates, But she didn't. Patty make the mistake and should have honored the amount noted in the email she sent. But she refused again saying it was the booking web sites error. And then proceeded to firmly read the campground rules aloud focusing in on a couple rules, like if we were to have guests, if we don't call the office ahead of time they would be refused entry to the park. We paid the full balance due and processed onto our site. It was a hot humid day during check in and we fired up the AC right away. We have 33 foot, Fifth Wheel with only 1 AC unit. With temps above 90° this evening, I was watching the power coming into our camper bounce between 110 and 114 volts, within an hour of being there and setting up the camper the 50 amp fuse on the pedestal popped, knocking out all my 120 volt circuits, we were only running a television an external speaker the AC and some 12 volt lights at the time, I reset the pedestal and everything was fine for the rest of the night, In addition I pulled my fridge off of the 50 amp circuit and plugged it into the 20 amp outlet on the pedestal, the next morning the temperatures and humidity raised quickly into the mid-90s again late Saturday morning the pedestal power popped again we were only running minimal stuff air conditioner 12 volt lights and so on. We complained at that front office they asked us if we were running more than two things, seems to be a common question that campgrounds ask when they have poor power. They said they would have someone look at it. Good thing for us, the temps the rest of the week hovered around the 80's, and we didn't have any additional issues with the power.
