We all packed our own drinks and completely forgot the most important part; the cups and ice. But no worries! Our guide had the boat fully equipped with ice cubes and cups and we were all able to enjoy a nice, fun and relaxing ride in the lake. We got full control of the bluetooth speakers and had a nice time meeting the other patrons and sharing music with each other. Overall, this was very comfortable and enjoyable for all of us. Additional notes: The bathroom was also very clean. The young man driving the boat gave us a nice, smooth ride despite slight choppiness in the water. There is ample shade on most of the boat with a nice sit-down area to enjoy the sun as well. Thank you!

Captain Jack tailored the experience to each of my children's "bravery levels" - so he drove the boat at a slower pace when my daughter went on the tube. It is reasonable to expect that the rental does not have worn, torn seats and the prior belongings left on the boat. We were given misinformation by staff and Jennifer ( the "boss"), who is very difficult to reach at any time was shockingly rude. Not the experience you would expect in boating world on Lake George.

Great!! Super!! Fantastic!!…read more We booked this just after we got back from rafting out west in Oregon and wanted to taste the east coast river experience. Our son (13) had the weekend off from camp in the area so we seized the opportunity. We arrived early and were met with friendly confident guides who helped outfit us for a cool morning out on the river. They literally have any and all the gear you could possibly want or need. Booties for those who thought flip-flops were a good idea, Neoprene jackets for those of us who run cold, the mandatory helmets, life jackets in every size, waterproof baggies for the guy who could not release his phone for the day and literally everything.. We loaded up on to small school buses - save your jokes - and then off loaded at our entry point. There we were given an exceptionally thorough safety talk by Jay. This team obviously get all kinds of customers.. Then we were off on our 6.5hr adventure. Lunch was delicious and very appreciated as a vegetarian. The southwest wrap was really exceptional.. we are going to try and recreate it here at home. The peanut butter wrap was a huge hit with my son, he had three. Our guide Kevin, who was freelancing for the day, was great. He gave us a steady, but unobtrusive flow of information about the river and the area. We wish him well in his travels! Tips: Wear clothes that can get wet.. and dry quickly. Shoes should be more in the Keen/water shoe family than sneakers - for the love of Pete leave the flip-flops at home Sun Block! and bring some with you to replenish after lunch. The guides have waterproof bags that travel in the boat with you. Drink water along the way! The guides are carrying 10gallons with them .. take advantage of it. Leave your phone in the car - there is no service out there anyway - you can buy pictures at the end HAVE FUN!

I got the weekend off last minute, and with COVID, everybody is flocking upstate. I usually go…read moreupstate to go mountain hiking or vacation, but my brothers were with me and couldn't. There were ZERO campsites available anywhere in the Catskills or Adirondacks. After looking for hours, I came across Tin Teepee website. They held their last tent site for me until I got there. The owners and employees were very friendly and accomodating. I had my two dogs with me, which can be an issue at private campgrounds. There was plenty of safe places to walk them. The staff let us know where we could go hiking and swimming too. It's mostly an RV park, but I would go back.

Who keeps hours from 11 am to 4 pm? If you need propane and need to get to your next stop, no one will help you. Not even the people who work there and are standing right there. It is very very dark at night at this park. So just be aware. Obviously nothing that they can control, but when having to take your dog out at night, and all of the junk covered in tarps all around.. you tend to forget what is junk and what are large shadowy things in the night. Won't be back. They don't care if you come either. So don't bother. Much better places to stay in the area. I also feel their website is misleading. Leading with a huge picture of Lake George. You are miles from it.
