Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience…read more We paid over $200 per night expecting a decent winter break stay. Instead, we experienced chaos, hostility, and treatment that felt discriminatory. There was no staff at check-in -- after 10+ calls, we were told the key was left outside. The "continental breakfast" was stale cereal and hard-boiled eggs. The room had bugs, and the flooring was poorly installed and taped together with electrical tape. On the second day of our stay, the owner entered one of our rooms unannounced using her own key and attempted to change the lock to lock out one of our family members, claiming the room wasn't paid for. We had booked and paid in full for four rooms over six months earlier. Only after showing her the receipt did she realize it was her mistake. No apology was offered. I am a disabled veteran with medical dietary restrictions and travel with a rice cooker. When a fire alarm went off due to the microwave provided in the room, the owners barged in and demanded money. Later, they returned accusing us of clogging a public bathroom toilet with rice -- an accusation that felt based solely on the fact that we are Asian. The photo they showed was actually pasta. Again, no apology. As a veteran who served this country, I never expected to be stereotyped, falsely accused, and repeatedly entered without notice during a family vacation. We left feeling humiliated, targeted, and completely disrespected.

That is exactly what we got. Honestly, I do not think we could have found a better place to stay. Our room was very comfy and clean. The house was recently remodeled and looks nice and cozy. The breakfast served daily was amazing. I Loved the pumpkin spice pancakes that were an October special. We watched some TV in the main living room and seemed just like a home away from home. It was exactly what we needed for our first bnb experience. The owner Dakota was friendly and hospitable. Her dad was also there occasionally during our stay. He had some interesting and funny stories. Everyone made us feel welcomed. Side notes, the house is next to a grave yard. If you are superstitious, then don't stay here. Grave yards make for very quite neighbors The owner has a couple of dogs. They are super sweet and may bark at you, but that's what dogs do.

We arrived and were greeted by Penny who was very accommodating. This is a very pet friendly place and they have a very cute doggie host, Roddy who is such a mush. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. There's a living room with board games. They house is next to a cemetery so the neighbors are very quiet. There was construction on the road while we were there which was quite noisy but hopefully that will be done soon. There's a fire pit on the other side of the house. Breakfast is cooked by Penny's husband and was delicious. There are many options to choose from and all cooked to order. They are very conscious of food allergies. It was a very nice stay and would definitely recommend.

First we all took a Zumba class! The instructor was an adorable lady with tons of energy so we had a blast! Then we all split up to do our own things. I personally took a quick shower then sat in the steam room but it didn't seem to be working so I went in the sauna, which I loved. Some other friends used the gym and others went in the pool. After the sauna I sat in the waiting area for my massage and drank a cup of herbal tea with my friends. My massage was excellent! So relaxing and she spent extra time on my areas where I asked her to focus- lower back and hips. After our massages, one of my friends and I went in the outdoor hot tub. What a great experience to be in that hot bubbly water while it was snowing! It's located in a covered area so it didn't snow on us. Then we came back inside and sat in the sauna one more time then I showered and got dressed. What a fun, relaxing time! I took a star off as the steam room wasn't working although I noticed someone contacted staff to inform them and it was fixed. Also, they only had small and extra large sandals available so I wore the small ones which were not very comfortable. My friends had trouble with their lockers and had to get staff more than once to assist them. Other than those minor issues, we had a fantastic experience!

2025 Thanksgiving Buffet Review. Our party of four attended the 11 am seating for the Equinox…read moreThanksgiving Buffet at $75 per person. Having been to their buffet, years past (not Thanksgiving), I was expecting a Splendid Presentation and Showcasing of the buffet faire. In past years, there were ice sculptures on tables and a pianist, performing live music. One member of my party, finally went up and asked if they were planning to turn on some dining music; an oversight on management's part, and quickly music filled the Colonnade Room. The stuffing was oversalted. The warming tray had not been sufficiently preheated; and being one of the first diners, the mashed potatoes were hard and cold. Absolutely no sweet potato or yam dish was prepared or available; I mean, that's a Classic Thanksgiving Dish! Unlike previous visits, most of the dishes and desserts on the buffet tables were not labeled to identify the food item. When we left our table to revisit the buffet, the bussers repeatedly would clear the empty plates/utensils/napkins from our table, and not reset the table with replacements. With infrequent passes by servers, we resorted to cannablizing these items from the unoccupied table next to us. After mentioning this to the server, nothing seemed to change regarding this issue of replenishing our utensils. And No One took the time to replace the items we scavenged from the neighboring table. Judging by the low occupancy in the dining area in opening hour that, we ate, I could only surmise that the EQUINOX's Buffet reputation has slipped over the years. The main course meat section was Excellent and many food items were, very Good. Never saw the Head Chef come out to inspect the Buffet line. Just Much Less than What I Was Anticipating, especially Given the Reputation of the EQUINOX. Definitely, an Absence of Attention to Detail here, today. Not starting the music without prompting. Cold warming dishes. Disappointing lobster claw appetizer. Untrained busser staff.
