ABSOLUTELY RUDE BUS DRIVER. Me and a friend took the Greyhound from Syacuse to NYC and back to Syacuse never again... Driver was clearly on some type of substance or alcohol because he would yell and everyone for talking while the bus was silent. He clearly was hearing things. The bus we were on left the New York Port Authority at 2:20 pm with stops in Neeark, Binghamton and Syracuse. The bus number is 87248. This man clearly shouldn't be behind the wheel of any vehicle especially being responsible for many passengers. VERY disrespectful and very disappointing. We will never be riding with Greyhound again and I STRONGLY suggest you dont either. read more

The first bus driver on the attached trip from Syracuse to NYC did a great job; he was polite, helpful, and handles difficult passengers well. There was however an issue with the ticket; 1. I was never told I was transferring to a Coach line nor did it say that anywhere on the ticket. 2. The Coach line bus left at 6:50pm not 7:50pm like it says on the attached itinerary; Daylight Saving Time glitch in your software? 3. The above issues caused me have to sprint through the bus station as I almost missed the bus. Not a fun/easy thing to do when you are over 45! 4. I was not told there is no bus station in my destination city nor was I provided a list of stops. The Coach Line bus driver was beyond inappropriate. * He scolded me for not knowing there was no bus station, and refused to provide a list of stops + was not familiar with the area. * He tried to let me off a the first stop, after informing him I got a text message advising me where to get off, he yelled at me, scolding me for not informing him sooner i.e. "YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THIS- YOU WASTE ME TIME!!!" etc etc (he ranted) I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. Will never ride Greyhound again. Rode three hours on a bus that was 88+ degrees and sweated the whole way. On the return trip the bus broke down and I had to have my son drive 1 1/2 hours to come get me but I don't qualify for a refund? I guess they don't care if they get you from point A to point B. My bus to pick me up from Lake Placid, NY from my figure skating camp arrived 35 minutes late(!!!). They do not have any kind of text/email alerts system where a person could at least be informed that their ride is on the way. It's not like I'm wailing at a bus stop (as unpleasant as that is) in Lake Placid, no, my taxi dropped me off literally by the side of the road, basically, with not as much as a bench. The driver of the bus was EXTREMELY RUDE saying "they have a new schedule out" and, when she asked me where I'm going and I said "Syracuse and then NYC -- if I can make that connection now", she said, almost as if it was a good thing, "well we're not going to get there until 7:40 at least" WTH??!!? I have to be at work the next day. What am I supposed to get a hotel in Syracuse now..? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE to SCARE people like this on purpose. This woman better drive this bus so I make my connection. Oh, and as far as the "new schedule" that "they have out" - it must be a SECRET, as my TICKET says 1:56and I don't get picked up until 2:40. She also said something like "you bought your ticket at Greyhound, too" 1. No I did NOT. I bought my ticket from Trailways. If it redirected me to Greyhound somehow while purchasing, that is out of my control. 2. So what!!!! What does that have to do with anything??!! Get to the pick up on time and get people to their connections on time. NEVER EVER AGAIN. HORROR. The only reason I was taking the bus to begin with was that nothing else really goes to Lake Placid (no planes, no trains) and, living in Manhattan, I don't own a car or really ever drive. So, this is more of a review for Shortline/Coach USA than the actual station - rode a bus on 11/29/19 from Binghamton at 6:10 pm to New York City that smells like I'm legitimately breathing in poison. My lungs hurt, it's hard to breathe through my nose, and I have a headache and nausea from the fumes. I don't know if it was running through the heat, or from the bathroom, but I will never ride this bus line again. What a horrible experience. read more

Nice and shiny new location in downtown Binghamton. Greyhound as well as Shortline buses depart from here. We purchased bus tickets to the city and it couldn't have been easier, well, except when we walked in there was no one at the counter. Turns out the counter person is also the bag person? Not sure. Anyway, he made it really simple and easy to purchase our tickets. $40 one way to the city, express. The buses are really comfy and come equipped with WIFI and outlets! That's so awesome. Our bus driver was also pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely take Greyhound again. Beats driving! read more

I travel with Greyhound monthly to take the 3 hour trip here to go see my family. I've had both good and irritating experiences with Greyhound as a whole but at the Binghamton location, I have to say since they did a complete remodel, it's 10 times better. This location is in the heart of downtown, which in and of itself leaves a lot to be desired, but this station is new and updated. The staff are friendly and there's plenty of seating for you and your bags. read more

It's a bus terminal, a stop along the way or the place to wait for the next bus that will take you where you need to go. Beautiful new terminal, new seats and friendly people. Clean bathrooms and even a little diner in there. Usually only run in to use the restrooms or grab a drink as it's a stop on the way from NYC to Upstate NY but impressed with it compared to many of the other stops along the way. It's the cleanest that I've seen also compared to Port Authority, Newark, NJ, Scranton, PA, Ithaca, Geneva, or Rochester. Overall not a bad place to wait. read more

This bus station is in a very scary part of town (especially at night). It doesn't put the best face of Binghamton forward when our guests and residents step off of a bus and are immediately surrounded by run down buildings with broken glass. What a shame. However, the terminal itself is beautiful. Very clean, spacious and plenty of seating. Good vending machines, friendly staff and a cute gift shop. I felt very safe inside and it was easy to meet up with the people I was picking up there. This would be a four star review if the parking lot was bigger and had a better layout, the lot is always full when I go to pick people up and I have to circle around or park on the street. The urban planners missed the mark on that one. :( read more

Staff was incredibly rude to customers. I walked in to see one employee openly berating a customer for not printing out their ticket, condescendingly yelling at them. Overall really bad service to everyone, especially considering that it was during a relatively slow time of day. read more

Greyhound is awful!! They left my son at a bus stop in the middle of the winter in the middle of the night. They arrived at the bus stop late and the other bus left already and they just left him. I had to pay $197 to an Uber to take him the rest of the way and they offered me a $20 voucher. I would miss seeing my son for a vacation before I send him or any of my other children on a greyhound ever again. They have waisted hours of my time telling me it's not their problem because other bus lines were hired by them to transport him home. They were incompetent and put my son in great danger and are unwilling to take responsibility for their own actions. DON'T put your kids on Greyhound buses. read more

Was here waiting for my bus and needed to use the restroom. I am a man, and the men's room was out of service. I asked the rent-a-cop if only the ladies' room was available, and he said "yes." I went in there, and as I'm using the restroom, he comes in and tries to call me out. When I left, he said, just because the Men's room is out of service doesn't mean I have the right to use the women's room. Never in my life have I felt so embarrassed while at the same time, sorry for such a small-minded moron. With all of the homeless people in the bus station sleeping, this idiot felt like pulling me out of the restroom was far more critical. The best part is, this joke of a human being probably thinks he's Binghamton's Hero for kicking a man out of the ladies' room (which he said I could use). My hope for this crack baby of a man is that in 2019, he gets with the times and a new job, hopefully scrubbing crap out of a bus station bathroom. There is no room in this world for this man's fear of hatred of other people, especially those who just needed to piss before a 4 hour trip. read more

some of the greyhound employee's are incredibly rude: i asked adam, a greyhound employee at the binghamton, ny station, if i had time to run in and get some chips, and he rudely responded by saying, "yes, but hurry up! make it fast!" in a really harsh tone. then, i notified my bus driver, named jeff (i was on my way to nyc) that the outlet wasn't working on the bus, and he responded to me in a rude tone by saying, "you didn't pay extra for an outlet. you paid for a bus ticket. and i'm a bus driver, not an electrician." read more

Had a ticket for a 6:45 am bus from NYC to Hartford. Running an hour behind and counting. We have had no updates or announcements about the delay. This is horrible service, we have NO IDEA what is happening or when we're leaving, I can't give my family so much as an update. Had a ticket on a 7:10am bus to NYC. Got there 20 minutes before, but waited and waited until the bus finally pulled in at 7:27! No announcements with updates or any information. Got in line and actually denied boarding!!!! They said there was no seat available - I already bought this ticket over a week ago! Unbelievable! Next I was told I would have to take the NEXT bus in 20 minutes! The 7:10 ticket got me on a bus that left at 8:31am. I am so disgusted! The loser agent at the counter was rude and beligerent and actually used the "f" word when I wanted more information! Greyhound/Trailways rips off its customers and treats them like garbage. Never again! Wow, Binghamton. This is our "welcome" for travelers here? The woman working the CoachUSA booth at 7am on August 16th was little improvement over the beligerent dude at Greyhound booth. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Never on time; uses terrible routes. I booked a roundtrip for a weekend and was delayed two hours for the to my destination AND another two hours for the trip back. I could not claim a refund for this HORRIBLE round trip experience because they could not guarantee destination times. I understand if it was only a 30 min or even an hour delay, but TWO HOURS FOR TWO TRIPS? That is FOUR hours of sitting in their uncomfortable bus seats! Save your trouble and buy Coach. It is in the same terminal in Binghamton anyway. read more

Greyhound as a service is unfortunately unreliable, but the staff at Binghamton have always been accommodating for me when schedules didn't go as planned. They do the best they can. Nicest Greyhound staff I have worked with. Too bad the station isn't open late. read more

This bus stop has one of the worst services I have ever seen. Every time the workers have been rude and annoyed for no reason. They also treat people with zero respect and I hate stopping at the Binghamton bus stop every time I travel. I would advise anyone to avoid it if possible. Terrible service. Don't honor your seat nothing is guaranteed. Must show up hour before to possibly have your seat. Staff not helpful. Would never go back to greyhound.
