We had made a reservation and as we checked in we were upgraded to the private room in the back. And man would I love to have this setup at home. Wall sized screen, tv for sports and nice comfy chairs. A quick tutorial on the system which is very intuitive and we were off on our round. Yes a little different than the real thing but pretty awesome experience. The service is top notch. The beers are cold and I really could spend a lot of time here. It is $45/hr and they say you who led budget one hour for each player for 18 holes. We will definitely be back!

Such a terrible experience traveling with a team staying at this hotel. Firstly they only will give…read moreout 2 keys per room which when we are saving members money and putting 3 in a room, makes this more difficult than it needs to be. As many teams do, doors were decorated (with painters tape - not our 1st trip) and housekeeping ripped them down. no asking just tearing artwork down! When checking out I was told that one of the rooms I was paying for had already been paid. I told them that I had not yet paid, no reasoning or calling in someone else to help, they didn't let me pay. Knowing this was a mistake, I would figure it out with in the team, which I did. However the person who paid for my room also tried to undo it and was not able to. Then 3 days later after settling with the other person the hotel charged me. If they had just listened to either of us - maybe looked to see what other rooms that card had paid for and called them while we were still there? Terrible rude customer service with the philosophy 'the hotel is always right'. Saturday night when we returned to the hotel at 10pm after a full day of competition and an early morning on Sunday, there was booming loud music. We were on the 4th floor and it sounded like it was right under us. When we called the front desk we were told that they would be done soon. It was terribly loud and was not done for another hour .. on time change night with a 6am morning. Overall just not welcoming or helpful staff.

Comfortable beds and linens. Coffee maker, fridge AND microwave. Parking is a nominal fee, but the location is downtown so you have to pay for parking everywhere. The cost here is a fraction of the cost at nearby lots. The halls are a bit confusing lol, but nice views. Small bathroom, but it's clean and looks newly renovated. I travel here for work often and look forward to staying here again.

Golf North has been around for a while now and has been progressively taking over ownership or…read moremanagement of many courses in the Kitchener Waterloo region (and other areas). I am sure I am not the first person to have trouble dealing with Golf North and wanted to start this listing so that others can join in to the discussion. Almost everyone knows that the condition of a course starts to go down as soon as Golf North gets involved in management. We are losing some of our good courses in the region to this phenomenon - with the latest being RiverEdge and RebelCreek. Golf North has also moved courses to a central control model where it is very difficult to even get through to the pro-shop at any individual course. They have also implemented a central reservation system that is substandard in so many ways it is difficult to make a list. The staff at the central control central control center consistently make mistakes on bookings and are also incompetent to assist with any changes to bookings you are actually able to make on-line. To add to the issue, Golf North is now requiring a credit card at time of booking so that they can bill you if you do not show up for your tee-time. I understand the intent but it seems like overkill. For now, I am looking for any courses other than Golf North to play in the region - any ideas?
