We talked about my event and all the details surrounding it. At first it seemed like they weren't available, but as we talked, it seemed that they were? Anyway, Xander did say that he had phone connection/reception issues and took my information to email me more about my event. As we were finishing up the call, I wanted to recap the details we discussed at which time the call dropped. I called him back on the number he called me on and there was no answer - connection/reception issues, right? So, I called the business number and left a message. July 4, 2021 - Still no call back or email from them. It's quite disappointing to have high hopes for a highly rated caterer (per Google), only to be ghosted like this. Anyway, if the event I had was too small and not worth their time, Xander could have simply let me know from the beginning.

My friend was however able to order a Caesar salad with a grilled chicken breast which she said was wonderful. Her hubby had the rouladen. All the meals were great. As a wedding venue (I've been to two weddings here now), it is ideal. First of all the bar is as long as the room is wide so there is no chance of a backlog at the bar. There are probably 10+ stalls in the bathrooms so plenty of room there and the sound system and DJ booth are all very professional. The venue holds up to 350 people, so it's big. The head table is raised up quite high with an elegant curtain backdrop and stage lighting which makes everyone extra beautiful for photographs. The speeches are also done on the stage so you can always see the speaker. Both weddings we've been to we've been very impressed with the food and service. I believe we had chicken cordon bleu and a prime rib at both. The food really was tender, juicy and flavourful. More than I can say about many wedding venues I've been to. They have a hot table for serving things like a poutine bar or an appetizer table with warm foods. The staff also comes around with hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. They have a 3rd level balcony that overlooks the dance floor for bigger parties (like the student events I've been to here). Another perk to the venue: The residences that are just steps away can house guests for much cheaper than any of the local hotels.
