Located inside the nearly abandoned Volusia County Mall Dillard's offers plenty of outside entrances with access to all (3) stores without entering the mall, the men's department is located on the backside of the mall and there's plenty of close parking. I swear if you removed the employee's vehicles you could've counted the rest of the cars on one hand on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's been forever since I've shopped in a brick and mortar department store with all the online options available but I needed to pick up a few items and was happy to see some great sale prices on clothing that wasn't only on sale racks, some with up to 65% off their original prices. It seemed most of the sale associates were eager to help anyone walking through their department, so it was definitely a unique personal shopping experience. It seems like these jobs are commissioned sales positions or maybe it's just to break the boredom of being employed here nonetheless I enjoyed my time here. The store was immaculate and there was plenty of inventory as you'd expect. I picked up (3) pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks and (4) four shirts all name brand for just under $500. I love online shopping but it was nice to actually touch and feel the merchandise. This experience probably won't change my preference when it comes to shopping but it's good to see this options is still available...

I was told I simply needed to meet the store managers and all would be good. I should have been more cautious as I came here and spent 2,000 in weekly hotels and ( now ) a roundtrip airfare back to Texas before they even had the decency to call me telling me the job went to someone else. After talking to Dwey, the store manager, I was given nothing but attitude and mockery for being upset. Since her texts were a bit more cautious than her phone conversations he mocked me and said anyone would pay that much to travel for a chance at an interview...are you kidding me?!?! Heartless and inconsiderate the both of them. Who does that to someone? Apparently Keti and Dewey at Dillard's Daytona Beach....no wonder that place and mall are dead with that kind of culture. I hope they all lose their jobs and be homeless and see how it feels to play with someone's last bit of savings on a lie.

When we entered the store we saw several items throughout the store displaying 60% off. Well my wife found her shoes now she is loading up on other bargains at the 60% sale price. Hopefully for me she doesn't find too many bargains. Well one of us will definitely be coming back after payday.

My husband purchased a pair of Sketchers Sandals in December from Belk. He has worn them a total…read moreof 5 times. He went to put them on this morning and split in half. We went to Belk to exchange or get a refund since he's only worn them 5 times. They no longer had his size so we requested a refund. They said that they can't tell how much we paid being it was over 30 days. The sandals were regularly $65 and we got them on sale for $48 when we purchased them. The store would not credit our Belk account for the $48. Their system would only allow a refund of $17 on a gift card since we didn't have the receipt. If we had known the sandals were going to split like that we would have kept the receipt. I feel that their excuse that the system can't find pricing if over 30 days is total bull crap and a way for the store to profit and the consumer to be out of money for sandals that only last 5 times of being worn. We will no longer shop at their store. They should be able to look up anything that I charged on their Belk Mastercard. You have lost a loyal customer for such horrible customer service.

Employees recommendations on the shelves call out individual titles. Lots of tables display trade paperbacks and hardcovers devoted to a particular theme or sale. One labeled "Five Star Fiction" presented well-reviewed new releases. If you order from the cafe look for a book near the register that's on sale for $5 with a purchase. I usually prefer used bookstores to new ones but this palatial Barnes & Noble is worth the stop. It's at the same I-95 exit as Buc-ee's.

They even discovered some books they're interested in, which was such a treat to see. I grabbed a coffee while we were there, and although it was nice, I did feel it was a bit overpriced. Still, the overall experience was wonderful, and I'll definitely be bringing them back for another visit soon!
