It's march. They haven't taken down the Christmas light on the buildings. Beginning of the end.

Came over to do some window shopping. They have a Columbia, Gap Outlet, Bath and Body Works,…read moreFamous Footwear, Vans Outlet and many other stores. They have three stores gear for entertainment. Claw City, Fantastic Arcade and Discs and Dice. You have limited amount of restaurants here. Subway and Starbucks. If you want to find more restaurants, head a little bit and there is Troutdale Food Carts. Lots of choices for everyone. The Multnomah Falls Shuttle picks up interested travelers here at the Outlet mall parking lot

At the time of writing this review, the Yelp listing for "Columbia Gorge Outlets by Simon Property…read moreGroup" was closed (I believe somewhat recently). "Yelpers report this location has closed." However, that's not true because we just shopped here. I submitted edits to Yelp to remove "by Simon Property Group" from the business name and reopen the listing. Hopefully, by the time you read this, the listing will be open again. According to a January 25, 2016 article by Chain Store Age, Simon Property Group sold "Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets" to New York-based Time Equities Inc. (TEI) for $28,425,000: https://chainstoreage.com/real-estate/time-equities-acquires-columbia-gorge-premium-outlets-000 Currently, Columbia Gorge Outlets is managed by Norris & Stevens. According to TEI, the 164,236-sf outlet mall "is 87% leased to 37 tenants. All the tenants are national retailers." https://timeequities.com/properties/columbia-gorge-outlets Our group of eight visited Portland for vacation. We stayed in the city and took a day trip to hike in the nearby Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We stopped by this outlet mall to pick up some items for hiking. For example, someone bought a shirt from the Columbia Factory Store and another person got shoes (sneakers) from Famous Footwear Outlet. This outlet mall is conveniently located right off I-84 exit 17 (Marine Drive / 257th Avenue) in Troutdale, Oregon. Troutdale is a suburb of Portland. The two cities are about 16 miles apart and both are located in Multnomah County. The outlet mall is about halfway between Portland and where we hiked (Wahkeena Falls). Great location for what we needed. Columbia Gorge Outlets is one of the smaller outlet malls I've visited. The size and look of it is more akin to a typical American suburban shopping center than a sprawling outlet mall. In terms of appearance and amenities, it was pretty standard. Before heading out, a few of us used the restrooms by the mall's offices on the south side of the property. Overall, the property was clean and expectedly peaceful and quiet during our visit on a Friday morning around 10:38am.

Stopped in to do my grocery shopping today. I have not been here for months because of the…read moreunavailable Mobility scooters. I was really excited walking to the door seeing four of them parked right inside. When I got in, I found all four were out of use. While I was there, the person was bringing one in from the parking lot and it died right outside the doors. Fred Meyer Tennant offered to go to the other end of the store and grab one from that door. I was very appreciative to thank them. While I was shopping, it started beeping. And while I was in line and died waiting. I was able to limp it to my car by turning it on and off again and I would get a few more feet. It seems to be a regular occurrence with Fred Meyre and I've asked that they assigned the Card personnel The responsibility to have them plugged in at all times when they are in the cart area. Apparently this didn't happen. I cannot shop without one and I am really sad that I have to go elsewhere now again. Maybe I'll give it a few more buttons and give it a shot.

This Fred Meyers have gone through a lot of different layout and changes, All for the better. I know some may not like the current layout - but this really is a one stop shop store. It's also HUGE. I know it's one of the larger stores in the district too. Usually lots of good in stock items. This store also has a Fred Meyer gas station in the same parking lot (fun fact- my father helped open the gas station up in the early 2000's). There's a Starbucks kiosk inside, and a on-point; some stores located on the outside: There is a 5 guys, and a famous nails (been there for 20+ years), T-Mobile, and a few others too. It's crazy seeing some familiar faces and that there are associates that have been here since the 80's- What dedication and loyalty and really tells you about the location / employer. Good place to grab a few things or do a large shopping trip. The deli is also good too for a quick lunch.

Although I tend to shop for clothes approximately twice per year, I could easily stock up on a couple bags full of items that would last me for years to come. They also carry my favorite cologne, the scent of which is frequently commented and complemented upon. Lately though, it seems that their selection of men's wear has become...lazy. Brands have gone bland. Sweatpants. Uninspired and flavorless hoodies and sweaters. Offensively ugly button-up shirts. The uniqueness of their selections seems to have been bleached and ironed out into a pattern of conformity: "this is what men wear these days". Maybe I visited at just the wrong time of year, and caught them in an awkward transition period. More likely, I have just aged out of the demographic they're targeting, because I wouldn't be caught dead in most of what I saw on my last visit. I'll be back for the cologne, and hope that a spark of inspiration catches and lights a fire of inspiration under their buyers and designers. The staff here are friendly and helpful though, if a little green at times. They also seem to be instructed to push certain products (perfumes and colognes) pretty hard, but since I was there to purchase it anyway, I didn't mind, although I could see how it might seem pushy or annoying to others. On the other end of the spectrum, I like just about anything my wife wears that she purchased here, so stylistically, they're on point with female fashion. The durability of the women's clothing is a little suspect at times, but for the price, it's difficult to complain too much. And you can find some absolutely bonkers deals in their clearance sections (when they're not almost completely wiped out, as they were on our last visit), so it's always worth your time to pick through the remainder of last season's selection.

Rue21 has everything from cloths shoes perfumes even bedding. The staff were very friendly and did not have to wait to be helped. The music playing was not super loud as it was a nice environment and a pleasent experience. Will be back as my daughter loves this store. I like the fact that there are gift cards so it will save me the trouble of picking out stuff.
