Location! Location! Location! Portland is amazing to have a nice outdoor shopping center super close to their airport and their airport hotels. Cascade Station's anchors are IKEA, Target, and Best Buy. They have Marshall's, Nordstrom Rack, HomeGoods, Barnes and Noble, Ross, and more. There are a variety of eateries- corporate chain restaurants and local ones. Cascade Station was bustling on a recent holiday weekend. People seemed rushed and hurried trying to get in and out of the parking lot. Be cautious. A great thing to know is that Oregon does not charge sales tax so shop shop shop. ;) If staying at a PDX airport hotel, I would return here. 4 stars! read more

This is one of my favorite shopping areas with a good variety of stores . (I like home goods and banana republic and they now have barns & noble so I'm content! ) its usually Easy to park but dues get busy after 11 on the weekends. read more

I went to Ikea and just to Marshall's and that took the entire day haha. Okay it took half a day. Next time, this will be a day trip. Lots of stores and I think things are slightly cheaper than elsewhere. Lots of stores for all people and a variety of food, too. There's a lot of parking but going on a Saturday....it felt like it took forever to find a spot so keep that in mind! It's best to go on a non rainy day haha as here's no covering between the stores but being an Oregonian, I am OK! haha. read more

I've stopped by this shopping center a few times in the past year, both for food and shopping. There's a decent variety of shops and restaurants, so it's a good place to burn some time at if you're waiting to pick someone up from the airport. The parking lot is huge and I've never struggled to find a spot even on the busiest days. Some of the stores are more expensive than others, but the Ross is pretty great and I've found some good stuff there. Overall the stores have nice employees but that's more store-specific than for the shopping center as a whole. It's easy to get in and out of this place, but a little harder when it's busy. There are no public restrooms outside of a store, but I do know that Ross has one for the public. Not sure about any her stores as I've only been to a few. read more

10-26-21 If you choose a hotel in the PDX area(Portland Airport) and have a rent a car, you'll be set and in the vicinity of Cascade Station. We were at Hampton Inn and I searched to food close by. Many eateries that popped up were about a mile away. Come to find out many were here at Cascade Station which is like a mall with many shops and eating places. We chose Mediterranean food but there are many other options. I wanted to go to Home Goods afterwards because I've found nice seasonal items at this chain even in Massachusetts. Even if you don't have a car there are some hotels right across the street. We've stayed at Hyatt Place before. Very convenient location with reasonable priced shops and food venues. read more

The only reason I'm giving Cascade Station 4-stars is because of the parking and traffic and the amount of people- Especially on the weekend or on a Monday Holiday. I advise not to go as it's more busy and can be hard to find decent parking. It's just long rows of parking in the middle of a shopping structure. Other then that, what's not to love with multiple great stores in one place? I go to Target, Petsmart, carthartt, IKEA, home goods, Nordstrom rack, and food places too- park stone and Red Robin are always great, ohh and CHA CHA CHA!. Also a perk is if you work at the airport, show your badge to some places they'll give you a discount. The max runs through here and it's perfect to avoid parking. There is a lot to choose from, and even hotels. Just across the river from WA, it's near PDX airport and conveniently off the freeway. read more

Cascade Station is a sprawling outdoor shopping center located just two and a half miles from PDX. There is plenty of free parking available and the MAX red line stops here on its way to the airport. Cascade Station offers a nice variety of retail shopping and dining. Along one side you will find the larger stores including Ross, DSW, HomeGoods, Nordsrom Rack, ULTA, Staples and Marshalls. On one end there is a Best Buy and a PetSmart. A bit removed, on the other end you'll find IKEA, which has its own parking area. Completing the square is a line of smaller sized retail shops and restaurants. These include Carhartt, Starbucks, GNC, Baba's Mediterranean Grill and T-Mobile. Stanley Park is a pleasant strip of greenery that runs alongside Cascades Parkway on the outer edge of Cascade Station. There are bench areas here and it's a nice spot to sit and contemplate your days shopping while enjoying a coffee or snack. In one mall, they have 4 fantastic discount chain stores which are what attracts me here on a regular basis: Marshall's, HomeGoods, Ross and Nordstrom Rack. In each of these stores you can find super affordable items, many name brand. Everything to decorate your home, stock your kitchen and build your wardrobe! In addition to the discount stores, there are several additional clothing stores on the lower end of the price scale: Roz, Maurice's, Lane Bryant, Shoe Mill, DWS Shoes and a Target. Even a few specialty stores - CarHartt, GolfGalaxy, Mattress Firm, PetSmart, BestBuy, and Bath&Body Works. IKEA is also a big draw and often the sole reason for many to drive to Cascade Station. IKEA has affordable furniture, houseware, bedding, bath and kitchen items. Store is large, parking lot huge, so plan on getting in your steps! The mall is super convenient, right on a Max line and close to the airport, plus accessible by I-84 and I-205. Cascade Station. As in "Stationary". The idea is great: Put a bunch of great places. Not just great but Mega. Like... IKEA Mega. In an area conveniently located near the airport. With hotels and places to eat, all in a central area. Right off the freeway. My thoughts would have been to build a road big enough to handle that volume of traffic. That's the only real drawback. The road is only 2 lanes. Hardly any lights. Lot's of cross traffic. It's rush hour traffic, all the time. Crazy. We needed some IKEA Tools. We thought we could just run out here and pick them up..... Ya right! First. Traffic was a nightmare. To and from. Like an hour to drive a couple miles. Second. Parking at IKEA, also a nightmare. Third. My personal favorite. They did not have the tools we needed readily available. I would have to wait and have customer service help me. Customer Service was also a nightmare. We left empty handed and frustrated from traffic and ###### drivers. I imagine. If you were to park in one of the many parking lots and walked around. It would be more enjoyable. There are so many great places to shop for just about anything really. You'll find a variety of restaurants to choose from and if traffic is stressful. Stay at one one the hotels nearby. read more

Cascade Station has its own Max stop and is close enough to PDX to draw in all those out-of-staters looking for sales tax relief. The Best Buy here is a good place to start if I were to theoretically do that. The Aloft hotel here is very nice and I have done well with Hotwire pricing. Red Robin is across the street and my son and I have enjoyed a meal there. However, this Big Box Center is a long pedestrian slog and in the end looks pretty much like any other shopping area of this genre. read more

I come here a handful of times a year, depending on what I need. I'm an avid list-maker. If there's a list app, I've likely tried it or have multiple lists running on multiple apps concurrently. I'm not always an efficient, or well-organized list maker, but I make 'em, dammit. Sometimes, the lists align such that a trip to Cascade Station is exactly what I need to knock everything off the myriad of lists all at once. Target. Check. DSW Shoes. Check. Best Buy. Check. Home Goods. Check. Ikea. Ugh. And Check. Hungry? Yo Cream! Check. I find Cascade Station to be clean, the parking easy, and the overall experience enjoyable. That I can look up in the sky and watch planes take off and land is a bonus. Would I "cross the river" to come here? C'mon. That's why Beaverton exists. I had a root touchup, by a newer stylist, and a week or so afterwards when I went to put my hair in a ponytail, I noticed that a number of spots were missed. There was at least an inch deep of missing coverage on my neckline and around my ears...that's just what I could see. I unexpectedly left early to go on a trip and when I called it was two weeks to the date from my original appointment. I was hoping they would redo my root touchup and use this as a learning opportunity for a newer stylist. I was told that the manager said I would have had to call within a couple of days for them to do anything. I told them I was very disappointed. Yes, I'm reviewing a mall, but I love Cascade Station. OK - the traffic is a little hairy, being so close to the airport. And sometimes tourists overrun the place. However, in terms of selection and setting, this place is great! I often go here when I just want to wander around. They have lots of benches where you can sit and watch planes take off and land, and wonder where everyone is going to/coming from. Grab a coffee from Starbucks or a frozen yogurt from EZ Freezy and gaze up at the sky. An Ulta and IKEA in one place - what more could I ask for? Target and Best Buy are just down the road. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Hood. There is a MAX station here, so if you don't want to mess with the traffic, take the train. Just don't buy any huge pieces of IKEA furniture! read more

This is a shopping area built for Washington residents to come and shop tax free. That said it also draws in Oregonians with the states only IKEA. They have a lot of nice shops, Nothing seems overly high end but they tend to be nicer here then the norm for the chain. There are lots of discount chains here like Marshall.s and Home Goods. Unlike Janzen Beach (another Oregon mall built for people in Washington to escape sales tax) it looks nice, is nicely laid out and it has a MAX stop. On the downside it doesn't have the large variety of shops as Janzen beach, no Home Depot here. In the end the looks, and Ikea more then make up for what it doesn't have. For me, if I am on that side of town this can be a draw. I wind up here a few times a year. read more

Lets see... There are two ways to look at this area. I'll write the two viewpoints & you can choose your own adventure. 1.) This acreage in what should have been restored watershed has been turned into a shining example of what is wrong with our wasteful consumer-driven shit-hole of a society. The acres of SUVs with a voracious appetite for fossil fuels driven by the tanned and toned & stoned morons alike will make you dizzy. You can find some of your most favorite big box and corporate fiends pushing their wares to those of us numbed enough to bend over and obey. If you're going here thinking that there is going to be something wonderful, some hidden gem, you're mistaken. or 2.) Big Box stores and mediocre food chains have gotten together and are having an orgy all the time just for you. The best part? You get your pick of the litter here; Best Buy, PetSmart, Ross, Red Robin, some BBQ place I've never ever heard of nor care to try... It just keeps on going. Take it or leave it, Cascade Station is what it is. Is Cascade Station the best shopping area in Portland? No. Is it user friendly and convenient? For me, the answer is yes. It's right off of the freeway at the airport, and has a MAX stop. It's within a stones throw of my employee parking, and has a decent selection of stores, although most are of the chain variety. During the week it's not terribly busy, which is a bonus because I can hit several places and be on my way. On the weekend it can be packed. There are a number of places to grab a bite, but for the most part the food isn't mind blowing, other than Yo Cream. It's definitely building up. You can hit Ikea, Target, and Bath and Body works in rapid succession. That's efficiency. read more

Like, I hop on 205 and 5-7 minutes later I'm pulling into the overcrowded fight to the death to get a spot parking lot. #Winning. There are hotel bars, chain restaurants, small restaurants, shoe stores, home stores, clothing stores, etc etc etc. You can (and will) spend all day here. Many of the stores offer a military discount which also pleases me. (It's amazing how few businesses do!) Come early because you probably will spend half your gas tank looking for a spot otherwise. As far as mega ultra strip malls go, this one's pretty decent. It's got a lot of recognizable shops, quite a few of which are of the bargain variety (Ross, Nordstrom Rack, IKEA, etc) and a few of which are kind of specialty (Petco, Sports Authority, a mattress store, Best Buy). There are a lot of different places to eat (I recommend the little sushi joint, they've got $1 plates after six PM nearly every day of the week). The one problem is that it is FRACKING HUGE, so you'd better wear your walking shoes if you're going to shop from one end to the other. I love love love sour ales, and Cascade Stations has many to choose from. The Rouge and Rouge Royal are my favs....but on the stronger side...so beware. They also make a delicious Saison de Fume....which is even tastier with a splash of apricot sour. I recommend sitting at the bar. The bartenders love talking about beer and are very friendly. I will say though that the space itself is really sparce.....they could use bigger and better art on the walls..... it does have the standard stark brewery vibe. This shopping center was the second stop after landing at PDX (after breakfast at Panera Bread). The Mrs. went to DSW while I went to Staples and scoped out the rest of the center. Lots of variety for dining here. Kind of wish it wasn't quite so soon after eating breakfast. Sandwiches, pizza, burgers, IKEA's cafeteria. I visited for the first time this weekend. This is a very clean, nice outdoor shopping center and they have many different dining and shopping options. We came here for the Carhartt store, and I was happy to find a Nordstrom Rack here, too. The staff in all of the stores we visited were helpful and friendly.
