Stopped by here on Monday. I know, most of the trucks are closed on Mon, Tues, but this gave us a chance to check out all the menus without a crowd so we can plan ahead. This location has a large indoor seating area and several tables outside as well. It is clean and looks very well maintained. There is a large variety of trucks, so something for everyone. One of the trucks that was open was the Taste of Ukraine, so that's where we ordered. Stuffed cabbage and pierogies. Honestly, could make these at home myself, usually have them in the freezer, but sometimes it's nice to try somebody else's. The pierogies were very good, a generous portion, served with carmelized onions and sour cream. The stuffed cabbage was very different from the Polish version that I make, but I did like them. I did think the portion was on the small side though. I would like to try a few other things on their menu, as well as some of the other trucks at this location. As a recent transplant to the Portland area, I really like the food truck set ups here. So much easier. In San Diego, the carts move to different locations every day of the week. If you want to eat at one, you have to chase it down. It's a pain in the a$$! Also, there is rarely any seating, so this is so much better! read more

So it is really great to see the Gresham Food Carts. I wish there was a little better variety though..Kuya Fred's filipino cart was one of my favorites and they recently moved to a storefront on Powell which bums me out. I honestly probably won't ever drive to their new location. I feel like the carts should have designated days/hours on their leases because almost half of the carts are usually closed when I go. The beer cart situation is beyond frustrating. The girl who worked it last summer was always there. Now it's a few different girls, and they can't seem to keep up. I understand closing the beer cart on a Monday if you really don't have the coverage to give days off, but you need to figure out something for the weekends. It is summer! Send someone over to give your girl a lunch break if you have to. Closing at 1:30 on a hot Saturday is summer is never a good idea. It upsets so many customers. I left today, honestly. I decided to just go grocery shopping. It's a hot summer weekend ad the food court is full of people, and there are no drinks available? Lame. read more

Made from scratch, a food vendor, at the Gresham food carts has an absolutely wonderful toasted turkey and bacon sandwich. Lots of other yummy sounding choses too. Will definitely go back for another sandwich. Very nice lady too read more

My husband and I had lunch today at the Penguin Poutine food truck. It was amazing! I had the Le Swiss. It was a bowl full of yummy, hammy, cheesy gravy covering a perfectly baked potato. My husband had the Rustic Italian which includes super yummy gilroy garlic and delicious parmesan cheese. Both were a comforting hug for our tummies. With our meal we had a couple of tasty ciders, blackberry for my husband and strawberry for me. We finished with E-San springrolls and thai iced teas that were delectable! read more

5 stars for the entertainment of Eddyville! The food court itself offers a great selection of a wide variety of different types of food, the beer cart Bubble Tea and Brews offers up a great Pelican Brewery Tsunamis to listen to the band. Truly a fantastic happy hour type experience. read more

I live walking distance from here. I feel like if it wasn't vegan, this would be a place I would frequently visit, but unfortunately there wasn't any options that was worth the $$ to eat here. I know they are adding more trucks so I have been keeping an eye on this place. I'm giving it 3 stars because I totally support food trucks/entrepreneurs and it's smart to have a little cluster of them so if you go with friends/group, everyone has more options. Checking out Happy Family Gyro. Not disappointed! Falafel was tender & moist on the inside, delicately crisp on the outside. Hot sauce had a nice bite, and the tahini had a complex, and smooth taste packed with fresh into a gyro. Polite service, really nice guy! Well done; see you soon. Happy Family Gyros has fresh, delicious Greek food. Cooked while you wait by a charming owner/chef who aims to please! The food cart POD is new, clean and comfortable, albeit outdoors. Greek food is one of my favorites and I was not disappointed with the lamb salad. Plates, wraps, salads, all things Greek! Two thumbs up. Will be heading back soon! read more

The lamb shwarma from Happy Family Gyro was AMAZING. The in house hot sauce was probably one of the best I've ever had and the service was great. My daughter had the yakisoba from E-San Thai Cuisine and loved it. Lots of vegetables and not greasy at all. The whole area is really clean and has a nice variety of food. Place is new so everything works and looks like carts are really well set up and that gives me a piece of mind since i know they have clean water and the means to drain dirty water. They have a tent where you van sit but its still pretty cold so you might want to take to home instead. read more

Finally food carts in East County! Good selection of carts: Thai, Mexican, BBQ, Middle Eastern, Poutine, dessert, beer, etc. Could use a few more carts, but tasty and nice atmosphere. A few games for kids and lots of space. read more

Not bad, I've only been once and the food was decent. Seems like they've got quite a yellow jacket problem right now, so be careful. They had a bean bag toss though so that was cute fun and the whole area is very clean. Overall, not a bad little food cart area tucked away in Gresham. read more

HIGHLY RECCOMEND HAPPY GYRO. great food. Amazing staff. Would eat here everyday. We had the lamb rice platter and everything was perfect, then offered us to try the Baklava and it was so perfect! They Finally opened after the Announcement over a Year ago!!! Probably Delayed by Red Tape, but NOW they're Open for Business with half the Capacity of Food Trucks Open for Business! I tried the Shaved Ice which was served in a Bowl (A Cup would work better for Customers who couldn't Finish it there)! We stopped at Lillie's (??) and I ordered a Hot Dog (Very Tasty) with Fries that were Very Warm and also Very Good! My wife ordered the Catfish Platter with Fries and She Liked the Catfish and also the Fries!!! Can't wait to go back!!! read more

My daughter and I ate at Happy Family Gyros last weekend. It was delicioso! I had a very authentic middle eastern falafel gyro. Even tho we went close to closing time he seemed happy to see us, and gave us free baklava with our meal! Looking forward to going back! read more

We ate this evening at these food carts. My chicken Gyro from Happy Family Gyros was great. The flavors were fabulous. My husband had a combo plate from Kuya Fred's Cuisine. It was amazing. Billy was incredibly generous with samples as he debated what to order. Everyone here is friendly and it has a family vibe. Don't let the location turn you away. The are lots of clean picnic tables in a covered area and more seating around the outside. We'll be back! read more

This is such a nice food cart pod! I'm so glad we have one now in Gresham. Great variety of carts, very friendly. I had a beer at the beer cart & a pizza from the Italian cart. Tonight we tried out e-San Thai for 2 drinks. The whole experience was less than satisfactory. To start out experience the smell coming out of the cart was horrific, a deadly smell that made it hard to stand too close. After a quick order of 2 drinks we waited about 25 minuets while listening/ watching one man that worked there yell and be so rude to another one of his coworkers. We watched them get so overwhelmed with minimal orders. They could not handle the push or how to be kind to each other. Zero team work. And to top it off someone brought their wrong drink back for fixing and the man took the lid off and poured it from one cup to the other. Then walked around with it all in front of the customer! Gross!! AND our drinks are terribly watered down! Not worth the wait, money or anxiety! Do not recommend this cart!! read more

I'm kind of shocked at all the good reviews... I've only been here twice so far and both times were a huge disappointment. The gyros are very ill tasting. Why would you put pickled cauliflower and carrots in a gyro??? The Hawaiian food was also super basic. Hope the other carts are better... :( read more

Have been twice. First time was very good, tried the Greek gyro cart but 2nd time we showed up at 10:10 as their Yelp listing specifically States they are open at 10 and everything was closed. They actually don't open until 11. Should be pretty easy in today's day and age to get your hours right especially on the largest restaurant platform in the US. read more
