Every time, no matter what, I make sure to stop at Sandy's. It's very old school inside (in a good way), and the atmosphere takes you back to a time when small-town diners were still a big part of a community. The service is always impeccable, the food is great, and the prices are so cheap compared to some other restaurants in the area, especially the overpriced places in Green Lake. The clientele is mostly locals on their lunch breaks or getting breakfast/dinner after finishing a shift at the factory in town, and they almost always strike up a conversation with my grandma and I and are very nice. Such a gem to have in Markesan and something I look forward to each visit.
