Coming from the pizza capital this is not pizza, it's hamburger meat mixed with very little Italian sausage in crumbles,, so far Rosati's in Knoxville is the winner hands down read more

Wanted to give them another chance so I ordered a spaghetti from the today. When I picked it up (10 mins after I ordered) I noticed the pan was cold. I got it home ((5 mins away) and the cheese wasn't even melted on the top. Stop being lazy!!!! This was also the Elizabethton location. read more

Ordered a half and half and the hamburger was old and unbearable. I own two German shepherds and I would not even feed it tot hem. Terrible pizza! Hardly had any sauce on it, and I never thought I would ever say this but it had very little cheese on it. No flavor at all! This place has went down hill big time! Never again. read more

Will not be back after today......Been eating there since late 70,s/early 80,s My wife got me a Meatball sub. for my Birthday back in December 5th 2024 and went to eat it and there was no cheese on it.....I have dealt with skimpy portions last through years...but my wife called and the Manager was cool and said next one is on us......Fast forward 1/15/25 went to go get my sub....Again NO CHEESE and barely any meat and sauce.....I,m done. read more

Just really good pizza. It never disappoints, the value is average, as it tends to be on the expensive side for small town pizza. Still not too expensive that i won't be back. If price is a sticking point, you won't like it regardless of how good it is. read more

Great pizza if you like greasy and we do!! It's definitely worth a try but it ain't cheap!!

Wow. SUCH good pizza! We ordered online, which was a very clear process. (You select your pizza size, your crust type, and your toppings). We ordered a gluten free pizza as one of our items, and we were blown away that there was no additional cost for the gluten free (and it tasted great!). When we went in to pick up our meal, the staff was friendly and had our pizzas boxed and ready to go. The pizzas were all FANTASTIC, and the family is eagerly awaiting when we can go again. *One unique option Greg's has is the option to customize your pizza and then mark it as a "Take N Bake," meaning you take it, freeze it, and then bake it whenever you're ready. We haven't tried this option yet, but plan to very soon! You should definitely check our Greg's if you're looking for some delicious pizza to take out! read more

The pizza is good, but two of us tried to call the other day over a period of two hours. We got a busy signal every time. I find it hard to believe they were that busy when they have multiple lines. Even worse about their customer service is that when I posted about it on Facebook they just blocked me. No apology or even an excuse as to why we would not be able to reach them. Obviously, they do not really care about customers. That must be why they have to be closed two days a week now. read more

I ordered the large cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza. It left a lot to be desired. The cheese tasted cheap and there was hardly any sauce. We tried this place after trying the others in Elizabethton, Tn and this was the worst of them all. Even Papa John's taste better than this. Go elsewhere for your pizza! read more

Too much cheese on the pizza. Barely any sauce and they didn't use oregano. Oregano is pizza.

I really wanna be able to give them a good review but their prices are way too high.. If other pizza places can charge what they can then Greg's can do better. 2 pizzas should NEVER cost $50 especially in this little town. Their salads have went up to $10 for mostly RED CABBAGE!! No homemade dressing to Go with a $10 side salad. You can tell they are bottled. Not a good brand either. I will say Greg's is the only pizza I personally like. They are thin crust, and the sauce is probably the best. My daughter said their wings are good. Their spaghetti is good as well but again everything is over priced to the point where you can have a nice steak dinner for the same price of 2 pizzas with a couple toppings. They don't ever run specials for their customers either... Their customer service isn't the best either. They aren't what you say rude but you never get a Hello when you walk in or acknowledgment. For what they charge I'd at least be grateful for my customers that keep me Rich... If you only need one pizza it might not seem that bad. I will say they have the best sausage ever. I have never liked it on pizza but love their sausage & onion pizza!! Anyways, try it if you don't mind spending top dollar for the pizza read more

I wasn't expecting to get the best pizza... but I didn't expect to get the first pizza that I have ever taken home and immediately thrown away either. This tasteless slab of dough and plain tomato sauce was horrible. Could barely taste the sausage even though we could see it was there, could not taste any pepperoni...and didn't see it at all. It seems like they tried to make up for the overall lack of taste by overloading it with cheese...but there just wasn't any flavor to anything. We tossed it out and just did some leftovers. read more

Not what it use to be. Sauce and dough has changed for the worse. I thought at first it could have been someone new making the dough and sauce but the last two times was like this. Probably two months apart. read more

The sauce taste horrible and the meatballs taste like cardboard. Gregs pizza in Elizabethton hasn't been the same since James and David left. The employees there now are rude and it kills them to work. Never eating there again read more

Too much cheese for me and no favor in sauce. It not taste authentic pizza as New York style or Chicago style.

When you want, "eh, pizza," look elsewhere. When you want PIZZA, YES, Greg's is your choice in Elizabethton. Pricier than the chains but well worth it. Big round pies cut into rectangular strips. Most toppings are served under the cheese, a personal favorite of mine. These guys do NOT cheap out on the toppings either: nice big piles of meats, cheese, and veggies. Be forewarned, again, that this is true pizza in all its drippy, greasy glory. Not health food, not light fare. Cons: no delivery, not open Sundays. read more

Best Pizza anywhere. I've been lucky enough to sample pizzas from all over the US, NYC, Chicago, and Greg's beats them all. Not your typical stale chain pizza joint place. Everything is made fresh and exactly how you want it. Unfortunately they have retired the large scissors they used to cut the pizzas with. Do yourself a favor and try it, you wont be disappointed. read more

Great stuff, local classic pizza.... there is nothing on the menu that isn't excellent. No use to go ANYWHERE else for pizza.

We ordered 2 pizzas and it was nearly 50 dollars. My family could have eaten steaks cheaper. Not to mention the staff acts as if you are a burden to them every time. The pizza is decent but be ready to take out a loan and get dirty looks. read more

I have been a lot places in my days, but Gregg's makes the best Pizza that I have ever ate!Maybe a little too greasy for some people, but I LOVE IT!!! No one else puts as much toppings,or cheese[the best] on their pies as Gregg's.A pizza that really sticks to your ribs!!The best by far!!! read more

I don't know about there other dishes other than what they are famous for and that is Pizza. But I have to tell you if I could give them a negative 10 it would be a better fit. When I first moved here 18 years ago the locals that I worked with said if I wanted the best pizza they ever tasted, Gregg's was it in Elizabethton, TN or JC, TN. I must admit it was different than any other pizza I had ever seen or tried to eat, the pizza was cut with a pair of 12" scissors and cut into about 2" wide piece's, which made it very hard to pick up and take a bite without the cheese coming off with 1 bite. And the grease was horrible coming from the cheese. If I want a great pizza I will pre-order from a fairly new pizza and Italian restauran in downtown Elizabetheton, TN called Giggy Ray's. There crust taste's the best this side of NY City. Another really great pizza and italian food restaurant is Johnny Brusco's in JC, TN and Kinksport TN next to the the Chop House. But some of the best besides Giggy Ray's is The Italian Village in the Fort Henry Mall, in Kingsport, TN, plus Raffael's Restaurant on Fort Henry Drive, and Guiseppe's Itallian Restaurant on Stone Drive Across from Lowe's. But if you only go to gregg's pizza and you like it that much it only means you have a closed mind, and you will be wasting your money. Whatever you do never go to Brooklyn, NY and go to a pizza restaurant called. Lorito's or something like like that. They have been in business for 108 year's and they are still using the same coal fired pizza oven which burns at 1350 degree's and cooks a pizza to perfection in 3 and 1/2 minutes. The only problem is it is NY, and that mean's NY prices. My Wife and I are pizza purist, so we only eat light sauce and 1 layer of cheese and if they have it full leaves of basil and another layer of cheese. We are not making a statement on your taste we are making a statement on our taste. Y'all eat what ever y'all want. Everyone has there own mindset. I hope y'all have a safe and Merry Christmas & New Year read more

Our visit to Gregg's was very disappointing. The pizza might have tasted better if the environment wasn't so sad. No one that worked there seemed happy. Lighting and aesthetics were poor which could all be over looked for great pizza, however the pizza was "okay". The tomato sauce was kind of chunky and bitter, the cheese was globbed on, and the crust wasn't anything special. My husband said he would rather have a little Caesar pizza and I almost agree. But apparently the town's people disagree as indicated by all of the awards on the wall... read more

I grew up in Elizabethton, and Greg's is still one of my favorite pizza restaurants I have been to. Quad City Style pizza like this is really hard to find, and I try to eat here every time i am in town. read more

Since the new owners have taken over, there is a HUGE difference in the quality of the Pizza, customers have noticed!

This place has great pizza, BUT some of the employees are RUDE! Every time I call in an order I am put on hold for an extended amount of time and after placing the order, get hung up on. Also, picking up the order is just as bad as placing the order. I have never been acknowledged right away. I stand there waiting for someone to say something, but I have to wait until they have time. I know they stay busy, but come on, please greet your customers as they come in. It's not like they can't see someone walk in. I still order from them, but hate dealing with the rudeness. read more

Worst pizza I have ever had. We ordered 2 SMALL pizzas. They came to almost $30 with ONLY 2 toppings each. The sauce tasted like canned tomato paste with ABSOLUTELY no spices whatsoever. Took me ten minutes to drive home and had the pizzas wrapped in a thick blanket to keep them hot, and when I arrived, crust was hard as cardboard. Don't waste your money, or upset your palate here!!! read more
