I have been going to Greg's for about 15 years but will never go back and everyone that I once referred there have all had horrible experiences. They used to be great, the staff in the office was great, Cody and Greg were great, and the repairs were good. The past 2 years however, the place has gone downhill horribly. The office staff is now rude and openly lies to customers (see below) while the repairs have not been done to any kind of standard. They no longer stand by their work. Here are some highlights of the past 2 years: 1) Took my daughters car in and was told it would be done the next day when a part came in. 2 days passed and we called to inquire was told the part would be in the next day. 2 more days pass and we called to be told the part would be in that day and the car repaired, but it wasn't. The next day we were told the part they received was wrong and so they had to wait for a new part. The office staff lied to us repeatedly over a period of 5 days. 2) Took my sisters car in for new shocks. 13 months, and just 8K miles later, the shocks were totally bad. They said "too bad" the warranty is expired and wanted the same amount to replace the shocks. She is 70 years old and only drives to the store and doctor appointments. Shocks should last 50K miles at least. 3) Took my son's car in for a gas purge valve replacement. Paid over $1000 and within 2 months the valve no longer worked. My son was so angry at Greg's that he didn't tell me until many months later. I called Greg's and once again was told "too bad". It is unfortunate that they are such a lousy place now with no integrity when they were once a really good place. I no longer recommend Greg's auto to anyone for any service. read more

I took my vehicle here for A/C repairs, and it turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a shop. I was told it was one issue after another -- each time I went to pick up my vehicle, the A/C still wasn't blowing cold, and they'd say it was something new that needed to be fixed. After nearly a month in their shop and over $3,000 spent, the A/C still didn't work properly. When I got home and tested the heat (which had worked perfectly before), I found it wasn't working at all. After checking under the hood, I discovered my heater core had been disconnected and they had bypassed it by running coolant through a socket. This level of work is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I have photos to back up everything I'm describing. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for honest or competent repair work. read more

My parents have gone to Greg's Automotive several times and always happy. My brother and I were driving my mom's F250 and it started acting weird and a light came on. We took it to have checked out and the guy who was helping us came out as we were waiting for a ride. He said he wanted to check something and he immediately fixed it and was so extremely nice. Started off with a simple spark plug change in home, cause those were the codes popping up, but oil was found on the threads after replacing, I hired a reputable mobile mechanic who discovered a worn camshaft after removing the valve cover gasket. From there, I had my car towed to Greg's Automotive for a camshaft replacement.They quoted me $1,900, which I was fine with, as long as the issue was fixed. However, without notice, I was later informed that the mechanic went further into the engine without my approval, Shortly after, I was told another part was needed, adding another $200 to the bill for shipping and how in demand part is. While frustrating, I was still okay with it if the job was done right. After paying $3,000+, I was told the car was ready--engine light off, no idle, all good. But just days later, the engine light came back on. The vehicle was brought back, they "fixed" it, but the very next day, the light returned and the shaking was worse. Called and took it back up there to be told a day later that the whole engine needs to be replaced now... WHAT?!? When I returned again, the associate I spoke with was rude This employees name is Krys. The manner in which he spoke to me was as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Making it seem as if the issues were something not related to the job that was performed. After spending that much money and being reassured the problem was fixed, the way I was treated was unprofessional and disrespectful. In the end, my car is still having issues, currently at another mechanic shop being inspected and FIXED hopefully. the entire process was a huge inconvenience and waste of time. We took our car here after a couple people told us how much they liked the service . Our car didn't start, didn't run, we had no idea what was wrong with it . A " mobile mechanic" ruined our car more than its original state. So out of ideas we had it towed to Greg's and it took a little bit of time to figure out what was wrong with it, but they figured it all out. They diagnose the original problem. They fixed everything that mobile mechanic did and now my car is running better than it did before I even had a problem with it.!!! I couldn't be more satisfied with my service that I received here. Greg is also very friendly and calls you with updates on how your vehicle is doing and what they're finding he let you know a ballpark of a price range when he is done looking at stuff which I really liked. Glad to find a reliable auto shop near our house that could help us with minor repairs on two old trucks. Air conditioning, transmission gasket and filter replaced, brake job with squishy pedal. We had to bring one truck back when the AC didn't stay cold, and they got it fixed. read more

Greg's Automotive is by far the best! 10+ years ago my car just happened to break down a few miles from his shop and we have been a loyal customer ever since! He is always fair & takes the time to explain the work to me. I appreciate how he lets me know what is urgent and what can wait (so that I can budget for it later) Juggling maintenance on 3 cars is never fun but he makes it as easy as possible for me. I currently have my car at the shop for a serpentine belt change, they quoted me 1.3 hrs for the job, well it's been 12hrs still at the shop and they just called and said i need new tensioner because it's "Fried"and they can't put the belt in, when I litterly saw them took the belt out in 10 mins, I don't know what they got going on but that guy anthony always try to some how extract more money for labor! Better business bureau it is. I don't think a belt change takes 2 days. price went from $250 to $970! update: I took the car monday morning got the car thursday! supposedly the hydraulic tensioner fried. So i had to pay for it. Went to pick up the car after hours, guess what they left the keys inside n locked my car. Do NOT take your vehicle here. I just paid them $650 to not fix the problem I had with my car. I was told to drop my car off on a Tuesday, assuming they would look at it that day. Wrong! It wasn't until Friday at noon that I heard from them. I was told my car would be done at the very end of the day Friday, but then I get a call at 4:45 that there's another part they need to replace that won't get to them until the following Tuesday. Another $180 later and I get my car back with the same sound I was hearing before and the same vibrations I was feeling before. do not go here. they will charge you for work not done and when you dispute the work they will steal your car and money. this is a horrible place and when trying to call them the owner hangs up and refuses to even speak to me. they added thousands of dollars for storage fees on top of work not performed. they say the mechanic that did the work no longer worked there when i asked to speak to him and the also could not show proof of parts replaced. they kept the money i paid $900 and told me i owed a total of $3600 on a $5000 car including storage fees. they now own my car and kept my money. i tried to speak to them but they only hang up on me and refuse to speak to me. scam do not ever go here!!!! read more

Terrible customer service. It took them 24+ hours to look at something that they previously fixed on my car that was still giving me issues. Just to find out something else was wrong and they didn't have the part needed to fix it. I went and picked my car up and that is when I realized they broke a button inside of my car and just stuck it back on as if I wouldn't notice. I immediately called them and told them about the situation. The guy in the front office told me to bring it back and they would look at it. The owner Greg was in the office when I arrived and said he would take a look. He followed me out to my car , I showed him the piece that was broken and explained to him that my car was not this way when I dropped it off to be looked at 24 hours prior. He said that he could try and fix it and went into the garage to grab a part. That is where he spoke with the mechanic that had worked on my car about the situation and tried to determine whether they were responsible for breaking it (which obviously they lied and said they hadn't touched it). Greg came back and tried to explain to me that his technician told him he had not touched the piece in my car and that they were not responsible for breaking it, although it wasn't broken when I dropped the car off. He became defensive and asked me to leave the property because he was the "owner" and I politely refused until they fixed what they had broken. He threatened to call the cops on me for refusing to leave until it was fixed and it just escalated from there. I will be filing a BBB complaint because this is unacceptable behavior for a business owner. Especially over something so minor. And to think I was about to pay these guys $1200 dollars to fix my car. Luckily, that plan fell through. read more

I called Greg's Automotive about an estimate for replacing brake pads and rotors on my Jeep. They were the cheapest bid in the Tulsa Metro area so I made an appointment for the repair. I delivered my car on a weekday afternoon and within 24 hours the job was completed quickly, accurately, and at a fair price. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and extremely welcoming from the phone call to the office visit and everything in between. I am very impressed with the experience and will be happy to return to them for any other automotive needs that may arise. How many times can you call a business and actually talk to the Owner. At Greg's you can. Called Greg's Automotive about a problem with an alternator that he installed on daughter's car. Alternator went out again. Daughter was stranded in Norman OK. To compound the problem daughter goes to college in Ada and Dad lives in Tulsa. All you can hope is to find a honest auto service in the area. Found that auto service through looking at reviews online. Wells Automotive service! I called Greg and told him about the alternator and he was more than helpful in contacting Well's Automotive and getting the warranty approved so the cost was only labor and not parts. The alternator was outside warranty but since Greg was familiar with the ongoing issue he was fantastic in helping us get the car fixed ASAP! I really want to thank Greg from Greg's automotive and Ryan from Wells Automotive in getting the car fixed in 1 day and ready for my daughter to come pick it up.
