It's always a good sign to me when the staff at a doctor's office is friendly and cheerful so I was hopeful when I booked my appointment. I have a knee issue so a friend recommended Dr Tchejeyan or Dr T as I call him. His office is extremely clean and I could tell he runs a tight organization. He also has invested in the x-ray equipment necessary and an excellent experienced technician to operate it. This is convenience as I don't like to have to go to another source, another appointment somewhere else, and then back to the doctor. This is a one stop shop! Dr T is professional and efficient. I appreciate he did not talk down to me but showed me my x-rays and spoke to me respecting my ability to understand what I was seeing. We are working on improving my situation and he was not one to rush to do surgery although I understand from those who have been his surgical patient that he is excellent and had a passion for his work. I had left total knee surgery that resulted in a staple close up that left me with an ugly large crooked scare compared to my right knee replacement by another surgeon that was superior and minimal straight scaring. in addition my left knee recovery took twice as long as my right knee. Dr. Tchejeyan replaced both my knees two months apart between August and November of 2022. My surgery was amazing and center where it was completed was by far the best I have ever experienced. Dr. TJ and his entire team were so attentive and helpful. The PT at my home also superior. By June I was skiing in Mammoth and mountain bike riding. I am so happy with my knees and would recommend Dr. Tchejeyan to everyone. What is key to your recovery is listen to Dr. TJ and make sure you work hard at your PT. The first few weeks are painful. It has taken me years before deciding to have a knee replacement because of tremendous fear whenever I thought of replacement surgery. Finally, when my pain was severe I started consulting with orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Tchejeyan was recommended by someone from Nextdoor. I scheduled an appointment and when I met him, I informed him about my previous experience in dealing with another doctor. I asked him questions that I was concerned with. I felt he was a good listener and someone I felt comfortable talking to. I looked at him in the eye and asked him, "will you take care of me?" He said, "yes'" and somehow I trusted him. I'm glad I did! My first knee replacement was with my right knee in January 2022. It went very well, so much so that after 37 days, I went out for a drive and grocery shopping on my own. Then in November 2022, I decided to have my left knee done. Again, before I was operated, I asked him again, "will you take care of me?" He said, "yes." Once I heard him say that, I felt a sense of relief. Both of my knee operations were conducted at TOSH. All I can say about TOSH is that it's an excellent facility -- very clean, with excellent staff and the food was very good as well. I only stayed overnight for both operations. After a couple of days of being home, I was in my kitchen cooking meals, putting dishes away. I feel my recuperation is even faster and I'm doing just fine. Dr. Tchejeyan is an amazing surgeon. He is a very capable surgeon who I feel is on top of his craft. He's a man of few words but a good listener and someone I truly trusted to take care of me. This review is mainly in regards to this office's billing department. The insurance, billing "double talk" is fishy for sure. Their business tactics are poor at best and their statements are impossible to read. While I do believe Dr. T is one of the best orthos in the area, he is a hot head and after seeing that side of him I wouldn't want him to operate on me again or anyone I knew for that matter. Consumer beware. If you select this office, make sure you get everything in regards to cost up front and in writing. Horrible experience with this doctor - I thought he was aloof and condescending. He barely spent any time with me and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. I broke my leg on a Friday and was referred to him by the ER. I saw him on Monday morning. He only looked at the x-rays from the ER - he did not look at my leg at all - not even to check my toes and see how they were doing considering my leg had been in a splint for 2 1/2 days. When I told him the splint was now loose because the swelling was reduced and should probably be re-done, he said it was fine, to just put another ace bandage on top of it. He didn't even give me another ace bandage. Honestly, my visit with him was a JOKE and a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. Spare yourself. I am seeing another orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. read more

I unfortunately visited this office in Feb. 2016, unimpressive; long wait to see doc while in pain from a fracture. I was given poor medical advise and wrong immobilizer (for which exact same was 35 on amazon and 225 charged by this doc) I was given inaccurate information by the office staff about in network status and balance billed 2.5 years after visit-over 700 for visit without xrays(brought my own). Grossly overcharged for visit. Consumer beware- this office represents all that's wrong with our healthcare system( long wait, bait and switch billing, poor medical advise) All in all a waste of time and money to see this provider read more

My husband was recently in an accident and taken to Los Robles hospital for surgery on his femur. I selected Dr. Tchejeyan over the surgeon on-call because of the stellar reviews on other sites as well as the recommendations of the nursing and pt staff. We could not be happier. He really is an excellent doctor, and even agreed to do the surgery same-day at 10pm...which ended past midnight. When hemoglobin levels fell too low and the attending doctor was not taking care of the situation, we called in Dr. T & he over-rode orders and got hubby a transfusion to make him feel better and help speed up recovery time. We are so grateful for the superb care we have received from this doctor and cannot recommend him more highly. read more

What a great experience, from the beginning when I first sat down with Dr T to learn what he could do, to the post op he made me feel so comfortable with the procedure. He took the time to explain what X-rays showed and how he would approach the procedure. He did a partial knee replacement using the Mako robot and the results are amazing. My procedure went textbook and the recover has been excellent. This has been an excellent procedure and recovery. He will be doing my revision on my other knee done by a different doctor that has never felt right. Dr T is the best. read more

In 2010 I needed my left hip replaced. I visited a number of orthopedic surgeons in the Conejo and S.F. valley. I chose Dr. Tchejeyan and am very happy I did. He preformed a total hip replacement (Plastic socket and ceramic ball). They had me up and walking on it the next day. The scar is only about 3" long. Had a few weeks of Physical Therapy of course, but the hip is good as new and years later still is working well. I am now seeing him for a "trigger finger". (sucks getting old) And though he is a surgeon, he told me that he wants to go through a regiment of Hand Therapy and cordizone injections if necessary. That surgery would be a last resort. I very much appreciated his less invasive approach and that he wanted to see if we could get my hand to heal on it's own. read more

Dr "T" performed a bilateral knee replacement on me in December of 2011. It was honestly the best decision I have ever made in terms of my health. I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts. Before surgery I was limping down the hall at the hospital during my shifts feeling 100 years old. After surgery and physical therapy which was a total of three months, I was bouncing down the halls of the hospital feeling 20 years old. I even tested my knees by running a little down the hospital hall to make sure I was ready for any emergency . I ran !!
