I finally became the patient! Dr Robertson has taken care of my 3 daughters and now I've become his patient. I fractured my knee back in October and because I work in the medical field I called the ortho in the building I work at but they couldn't see me for a week! I called Dr Robertson's office and they offered me an appt 2 days later which made me happy that someone could see me with a more reasonable time as I was in excruciating pain! The office staff is very professional and his nurses are amazing and they respond within a reasonable amount of time. It's also great that they have a PT facility within the office! I found Dr. Keith Robertson from my insurance's list of recommended orthopedic doctors. I had broken my ankle on a Saturday, went to Kaiser's emergency - which was a horrible experience as they made me wait 5 hours before putting on a temporary splint while I was in extreme pain. They couldn't put a cast on me because my insurance was not Kaiser. I contacted Dr. Robertson's office and was told they were fully booked, but as I explained that I was in extreme pain they put me on hold and found an opening 2 days later right before 4th of July. I arrived at the Body Dynamics building and was met with very friendly staff at the front, who had me go over all the paper work digitally through an iPad. About 15-30 minutes later I was called in. Once Dr. Robertson arrived he was well prepared for my injury and gave me plenty of information that I wish the Kaiser MD had given me, since this was my first broken bone injury. He recommended I go with a boot instead of a traditional cast, which I'm glad we went with, the girl who helped me put on the boot was very friendly, caring and professional, it's day 2 now and I'm feeling way better already without pain medication. I have a follow up in 10 days to do an x-ray and see if everything is looking good, I will write an updated review once that's completed. Well it happened a broken wrist after a metal box came crashing down onto my wrist I was at the ER. They did a quick x-ray and said that I did not break it. I knew that in the end, I would still need to see a specialist. Dr. Roberson knew that for me the cast was the way to go. Six weeks later it was off and I was feeling much better. Wow, what a great experience!! I came in to Dr Robertson with a finger issue on my dominant hand which was causing pain and stiffness. Within minutes Dr Robertson had a diagnosis and was taking the time to draw a diagram of my condition and explain to me exactly why it was occurring!! The Dr then gave me three treatment options with increasing degrees of invasiveness, letting me choose which treatment method would be best for me and my lifestyle. To have a practitioner listen to me and let the patient make an informed decision is incredible and rare these days! The Dr performed a steroid injection with skill and a gentle touch. This is MY opinion..today is my 5 year anniversary aka ARM a nightmare a versary of my 2nd arm surgery. The first was extremely BOTCHED and the 2nd was even WORSE!! In my opinion, Keith Robertson is a HACK. He appears to be adorable BUT....do not EVER go to this doctor. He is in over his head and doesn't know how what the HECK he's doing. I was steered in the COMPLETELY wrong direction in the WORST way with my first arm surgery then I went back to him for a second surgery for some really stupid reason that was a complete error in judgment. He put in a shorter plate and less screws and did a hideous job PLUS he did a bone graft from my iliac crest which was excruciating. During prep the morning of my 2nd surgery, I said I changed my mind about the bone graft. He actually smirked and said "Too late for that". He thought it was even funnier when he came to the hospital the morning after the second surgery and asked if my hip hurt more than my arm. He is a SADIST. I still have nightmares about him and what he did to my arm and hip. I have waited 3.5 years to write this because I was afraid of him coming after me. He ruined my life!!! My arm is atrophied and hideous. Thank GOD I found an orthopedic trauma surgeon at Cedars Sinai to fix my arm and if I had gone to that doctor first or even 2nd, my arm would look fairly normal. First of all, the location is absolutely PHENOMONAL! I walked in and knew immediately that I would be in the best hands, based on the location alone. Dr Robertson is located at Mamba training facility, it's a massive training facility for members and athletes, that tailors your workouts and classes to your individual goals and needs. It is gorgeous, pristine, and well designed and decorated. Upon entering Dr Robertson's office, I was greeted very professionally by the staff, seen at my appointment time, no additional waiting time. I am a mom of a 2 year old, and do not have time to wait 1-2 hours to be seen, like I have experienced at other Doctors offices. Dr Robertson came in smiling, was thorough in examining my knee, and listened to all of my concerns and answered all my questions gladly and with a smile. He didn't rush in and out, like some doctors do, and give me half assed answers and yea yea yea's. I have to get an MRI and I will be back in a couple weeks for re-check, and I'm actually looking forward to it. If you have any orthopedic needs, Dr Robertson is the guy! I am not sure if I am seeing the same Dr. as the one as the bad review, as my experience was super positive. I came for a second opinion on an injury that was not treated well. He examined the injury without the need to pinch and prod, preventing the need to cause more pain "to make sure" he was right. He had a correct diagnosis that the other doctor missed, and walked me through photos on an iPad of what was going on. He sent me for MRIs and X-Rays to absolutely nail it down. Once the MRIs confirmed he was right, he referred me to another doctor, and he didn't have some of the right medicine to treat. Throughout all of this, he was gentle to the injury, and conversationally, he was pleasant to talk to and spoke non medical jargon so that as a normal person I could understand. It was nice to understand what the jargon on an MRI report really meant. I would recommend Dr. Robertson, and I would definitely come back to see him for similar injuries in the future. read more

Not only was the building hard to find, because half the numbers on the street wall were missing, the building was elevated and gave you no clue that there was a medical facility in it. The name of the building, Sports Academy, sounded like a gym. Thank goodness for the UPS man I found in the parking lot. I checked in 20 mins. early for my first apptmt. as requested. One hour in the waiting room on a bench, then another 15 minutes in the exam room, and still haven't met the doctor. I left and the office staff didn't look shocked. Hmmmm. They obviously book too many patients, in my opinion, as an office manager. The front desk staff was very helpful, seemed efficient and genuinely concerned when I left, but, not surprised. Bad vibe from the time I arrived at the location. Parked twice, looking around for a doctors office. Should have followed my gut and should have gone home. Stay home, or go somewhere else. Dr. Robertson treated my fractured wrist. I didn't realize I had fractured my wrist, thought it was just a bad sprain. Self-medicated for three weeks and pain didn't subside. Went to urgent care and got it x-rayed and found out I had fractured my radius (playing racquetball). Dr. Robertson said by waiting three weeks I had avoided a cast, which was nice. He put me in a black brace for six weeks. After that it was physical therapy for a month (used Meridian Hand Therapy, which I recommend). Dr. Robertson is very kind and thorough. Explains things well. I would see him again if I fracture my wrist again. read more
