Well I went, was terrified and had my consultation. The staff was amazing and their system was streamline and efficient. I didn't feel rushed and I didn't wait long for the doc to see me. Dr. Bawa was wonderful and immediately put me at ease. I had done my research and found that this talented and confident surgeon had an excellent track record of successful full hip replacement surgeries. After speaking with him, I knew immediately that I was in good hands. I was impressed by the surgical center and how equally efficient it was. Everyone took time with me and made sure I was fully cared for. When I woke from surgery and realized that I wasn't dead, it was the best day of my life.... lol. I was told by the hospitalist that my pre op hip was very bad. Much worse than the films indicated. I was then told that the surgery was a complete success and I should expect a full recovery. I am here to tell you that I felt much love. The gift this surgeon gave me was immeasurable. For 8 years I suffered and hid all my tears. I live at the beach and could only look out my window to see it but couldn't dream of walking on it. Today, I walk there regularly and think of him every time. My HERO. The hard, hard work, many years study, personal sacrifice, and practice to perfect his skills was his gift to me. A million thank you's is not enough. But thank you anyway. Good job Doc!

Before going into my robotic total knee replacement, I had heard plenty of stories about how grueling and difficult knee recovery can be. While I know everyone's experience is different, my recovery has been remarkably smooth. Whether I was just incredibly fortunate or benefited from choosing the right surgeon and technique, my results exceeded my expectations. The Surgery Experience The procedure was performed as an outpatient surgery at a brand-new surgical center. From start to finish, the entire process was quick, seamless, and easy. The nursing and support staff were outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful in keeping me comfortable and informed. Dr. Rana's surgical precision was evident right away: the incision was extremely neat, and as it continues to heal, there is almost no visible scar left. Recovery & Outcome My post-surgery pain was minimal and lasted for only a very limited window. I had great range of motion straight out of surgery, was ditching the cane and walking on my own within a week and have been hitting recovery milestones well ahead of standard timelines ever since. Recommendation During my rehabilitation, I mentioned Dr. Rana to my physical therapy team, and they told me that they always see great outcomes and rapid progress from his patients. In hindsight, although I of course did my own research, I probably should have consulted a PT before choosing my surgeon! If you are considering a robotic knee replacement, especially via the subvastus approach, I cannot recommend Dr. Rana highly enough. A doctor's office should feel welcoming, respectful, and empathetic not like you're inconveniencing someone simply by being there. The front desk is the first point of contact for patients and families, and the way people are spoken to matters. There is no reason for a receptionist to come across as rude, dismissive, or entitled. You do not own the office, and treating people with kindness and respect is a basic part of working in a healthcare environment. What makes it even more disappointing is seeing the tone of some of the responses to reviews on this page. They certainly do not give the impression of a warm, patient-centered medical practice. People coming into a doctor's office may already be stressed, nervous, in pain, or dealing with difficult circumstances. A little empathy and professionalism at the front desk goes a long way.

I fractured my knee back in October and because I work in the medical field I called the ortho in the building I work at but they couldn't see me for a week! I called Dr Robertson's office and they offered me an appt 2 days later which made me happy that someone could see me with a more reasonable time as I was in excruciating pain! The office staff is very professional and his nurses are amazing and they respond within a reasonable amount of time. It's also great that they have a PT facility within the office! Dr Robertson has great bedside manners.

Basically I was all screwed up and could not put off the operation any longer. Dr Delgado did an excellent job of removing the retained metal and replacing the hip. I was up and around right away and as of this writing I never even think about the hip its like new. Every day a bit better. I had interviewed everyone in town but he impressed me most. Conscientious and thorough and takes time to explain whatever you need to know. Get it done and get Dr Delgado to do it.

Either Dr Delgado is excellent or extremely selective…read more My hip MRI radiologist narrative stated I had moderate/advanced chrondal loss (grades 3-4), circumferential labrum degeneration, low grade chronic/acute gluteus minimus tendon, moderate fatty atrophy and both types of FAI and I communicated to him long standing functional pain and instability that was significantly hindering my quality of life for years. I in fairness, I did state I had better days as well. Yet, he not recommend surgery, he instead referred me to another medical group doctor that specializes in PRP. He also gave me specific exercises to do, that frankly only increased my pain (and I work out 5-6 times per week). The doctor he referred me to , after trying to "sell" me on PRP, finally conceded hip replacement was probably the best option for me (considering all of my entire hip health). In additional fairness at nearly 69 years old, I was probably the youngest and most able bodied person in the waiting room. So it could be I was not his most needy patient. Maybe it was a case of others needing more of his valuable surgery time. While I appreciate his opinion, I walked away after careful reflection...very uncertain. Nice enough and I acknowledge he may be right about not needing surgery, but other notable orthopedic surgeons disagree. I state all of this with a high degree of reservation, as he seems to have an excellent reputation in our community and in no means want to discredit him. But, Yelp is about honest feedback. Medicine is still very much an art and not always a science and that's why everyone should seek multiple opinions. I'd love to hear feedback from him after this post.
