Despite MRI findings that documented clinically significant relevant abnormalities, Dr. Hartman repeatedly described the imaging as "normal" and dismissed my concerns without providing a medically supported rationale. The consultation did not include adequate discussion or review of the imaging or imaging results, potential diagnoses, or an evidence-based treatment plan. When I expressed that I was experiencing 10/10 pain and asked how I was expected to function, Dr. Hartman responded, "Well, I come to work with 10/10. I guess it depends on the person." This comment felt extremely condescending and clinically inappropriate. At no point did he assess how the pain was affecting my ability to walk, work, sleep, or perform basic daily tasks. Instead, he referenced anecdotal stories about his brother and a prior patient, which were neither relevant nor helpful. Dr. Hartman attributed the pain solely to fibromyalgia despite the following issues: * The pain is highly localized to my knees rather than widespread. * It does not resemble my typical fibromyalgia pain. * The MRI report included findings that reasonably correlate with mechanical or structural knee pain. His refusal to acknowledge or meaningfully address these findings resulted in inadequate assessment and left me without a clear diagnosis or appropriate follow-up plan. The care provided did not meet clinical expectations and left me feeling dismissed, invalidated, and unsupported. I have filed a formal grievance with Blue Shield and Ventura Orthopedics.

I called Dr Robertson's office and they offered me an appt 2 days later which made me happy that someone could see me with a more reasonable time as I was in excruciating pain! The office staff is very professional and his nurses are amazing and they respond within a reasonable amount of time. It's also great that they have a PT facility within the office! Either Dr Delgado is excellent or extremely selective…read more My hip MRI radiologist narrative stated I had moderate/advanced chrondal loss (grades 3-4), circumferential labrum degeneration, low grade chronic/acute gluteus minimus tendon, moderate fatty atrophy and both types of FAI and I communicated to him long standing functional pain and instability that was significantly hindering my quality of life for years. I in fairness, I did state I had better days as well. Yet, he not recommend surgery, he instead referred me to another medical group doctor that specializes in PRP. He also gave me specific exercises to do, that frankly only increased my pain (and I work out 5-6 times per week). The doctor he referred me to , after trying to "sell" me on PRP, finally conceded hip replacement was probably the best option for me (considering all of my entire hip health). In additional fairness at nearly 69 years old, I was probably the youngest and most able bodied person in the waiting room. So it could be I was not his most needy patient. Maybe it was a case of others needing more of his valuable surgery time. While I appreciate his opinion, I walked away after careful reflection...very uncertain. Nice enough and I acknowledge he may be right about not needing surgery, but other notable orthopedic surgeons disagree. I state all of this with a high degree of reservation, as he seems to have an excellent reputation in our community and in no means want to discredit him. But, Yelp is about honest feedback. Medicine is still very much an art and not always a science and that's why everyone should seek multiple opinions. I'd love to hear feedback from him after this post.

Very painful. The moment i hit my whole back was sprung. I could barely move. I went home immediately put ice on it took Advil and a muscle relaxer. My husband made an appt. For two days later. It was 9:00a.m. I went right into xray snd found i had a compression fracture L1. I was suppose to go to France next day. The PA said i don't think you are going. I pleaded with him and said i am not disappointing my grandson. Jonathan what a great guy, he spoke with Dr.Spayde, came back in and said, did you eat anything, luckily I didn't. He said we are going to do a kyphoplasty and you should be able to go without pain. So immediately i was triage, everyone came in. I got an MRI. The nurse who is the most sensitive caring person, (wish i remembered his name) was the best IV person I ever had. And the anesthesiologist was so kind and reassuring. This is s little past four weeks now and i feel great. I would give ten stars. How it is so amazing that all these guys got it together to fit me into their schedule. I can't thank them enough. But thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. Bawa is not only a physician of Sports Medicine but also works with the well known Southern California Orthopedic Institute for Sports Medicine. I was referred to Dr. Armen Oganesian's office from my primary doctors office because I was having…read moresevere nerve pain in my lower back and down my right leg and foot. When I called Dr. Oganesian's office I spoke with Christina and she was able to get me into see Dr O's office within a timely manner. Dr. O was very quick to evaluate the urgency of the situation and the level of weakness that I was experiencing in my right leg and foot. Dr. O and his staff have been extremely accommodating and sensitive to my needs and concerns. Dr. O explained this advanced procedure that would have a much faster recovery and healing time compared to my previous back surgery that took me over 4 months to recover. Dr. O perform an endoscopic surgery - discectomy on my lower spine. I was able to go home that same day, where the last surgery in northern CA I was in hospital for 3 days and had a lot of discomfort from the surgery site. This time, it felt nothing like that experience. Friends and family saw me up and moving around within days. Obviously it is still a surgery and I did have to recover and have physical therapy, but this experience with Dr O and his staff really impressed me. They assisted me and my wife especially when I was struggling in pain. I'm in a much better situation now after being treated by Dr O. Having back surgery is a serious matter and I'm not one to jump into surgery unless I feel comfortable with the surgeon and their evaluation, skill and perspective of need for surgery. Thank you Dr O and staff for the high level of care you provided along with support you gave my wife and family pre and post surgery. I am feeling so much relief from pain in my back and leg as I was not able to function at all pre surgery, so it has been a dramatic improvement on how I'm feeling.
