Security Lock & Alarm is the only Abloy reseller in the area, but unfortunately their customer…read moreservice has been consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions I've called or stopped by, only to be told that no one was available to help me. Each time I left my name and number, I was promised a call back -- but I have never once received one. This forces me to return in person, where the outcome is usually either: 1. "We're out of stock," or 2. "Someone will call you back." As a small business owner, I only purchase 1-4 locks per year, which is nothing compared to the large timber company that seems to get first priority. Still, every customer deserves fair treatment and basic communication. A promised call back should actually happen, regardless of order size. On my most recent visit (two trips in one day), I finally spoke with someone knowledgeable about inventory and keying. Even then, I was told "someone will call you back." That was over three days ago, and I'm still waiting. At the time, there was open discussion among staff about whether additional stock was available, but I left without answers. Because Abloy keys cannot be duplicated by other locksmiths, I'm now forced to shop online, where replacement keys can take weeks. This lack of support locally has cost me significant time and frustration. This is not an isolated incident -- I've had at least three other nearly identical experiences with Security Lock & Alarm: no follow-up, repeated visits, and wasted time. It really highlights how small businesses and individual customers are deprioritized compared to big contracts. In short: if you're not a large-volume customer, don't expect much help here.

They exchanged our electric cooktop/range with propane which was no simple task. Both projects were completed in minimal amount of time with very little disruption. The job made our home more beautiful, even the building inspector was impressed Kirk and his crew showed up as scheduled each and every time. We highly recommend this company

Five Stars may not be enough…read more I met Kirk Jones (recommended by friends) in 1993 , when my wife and I wanted to remodel our kitchen, which dated from the 1970s and looked like it. We hired a kitchen designer, but finding a contractor we thought we could trust was not an easy task. Kirk looked at the design, and then went under the house to check on utilities services and, I think, the overall soundness of the foundation, flooring, etc. Other contractors we met did not do that. He was not afraid to get his hands (and clothes) dirty to know as much as he could about the structure he would work with. We hired him. When construction began, he set up a temporary "kitchen" in our adjoining dining room so that we would not have to move out. The project came in essentially on budget even though we added a few "extras." He coordinated all the subcontractors and the kitchen came out beautifully. We have never had a construction problem and the kitchen remains as beautiful today as when it was completed. But more than that, when from time to time we have had things break, like a faucet or a garbage disposal, we call him and he comes to help. Ten years later, we decided to update our three bathrooms. We used Kirk again. He did the project in two stages so that we would always have a working bathroom. In the remodeling process, he discovered that the builder had made some errors, including false ceilings in two bathrooms. He fixed the issues. He also made a number of little changes and improvements, like grab bars that maybe weren't needed then but which I need now--he was right. Next was a remodel of our kids' long-out-grown play room next to our family room into a TV room wired for surround sound. He opened up the space so that it became an extension of the family room. The architect designed the room for better TV viewing with cabinetry to house the electronics against a wall behind is a storage area The cabinets were left open in the back, and Kirk built a small set of doors in the adjoining storage area behind the system which allows us to easily reach the backs of all of the electronics. What a convenience that proved to be! We have heavy rain problems in the back and South sides of our house. Over the years, he has fixed those problems as well as others caused by original poor workmanship of the builder and other unavoidable issues. His goal is always to permanently and efficiently eliminate problems. Would I ever use another contractor? Not a chance!
