I came to my summer house only to find I had no water. Called Gregor Well at 5:30 pm got a call the next morning at 7:30am, they arrived at 9:30 am and replaced my pump by noon. Fast and efficient. This company has been extremely kind to me. They have also been extremely honest. It is not always easy to find an honest company like this, especially where I live, because I am surrounded by rich people and companies are used to taking advantage of that. I have not done a major job yet with this company, but that is precisely because of their honesty. The first time, I had an emergency on a Sunday and after calling in the morning, the person stopped by at my house that afternoon, determined that it is a problem more appropriate for another company, and calmed me that it was not an emergency. The second time was today: I saw fine sand sediment coming out of my well water. It created anxiety in me about the possible health hazards. The same person, (I believe it is Gregor himself) when I called two days ago, had calmed me that it's not a huge deal, that it's worthwhile to wait a bit to see if the water clears out. I waited. The water did clear a bit, but not a whole lot, so I called again, today. He answered the phone (which already is an accomplishment with some of the companies around here) and said that he'd be in the area later and could stop by. He stopped by, examined a whole bunch of stuff, did not find a major huge problem like a leak or a malfunctioning well pump, and then when I asked how much do I owe him he said "ah don't worry about it". I don't believe this is going to happen every time and nobody should try and take advantage of him for free checkups, he is not a plumber per-se, but a well-driller. But my well is getting old and I will turn to this company when I need one. I very much appreciated the kindness today, and thus this review. read more

These guys are supposed to be really "good" if you can get them to do the work, but I did not use them. The reason I did not is because they never return calls. They will answer and they will promise to call back. They will tell you that they can get to your job "in a couple of weeks," but they won't schedule it and they will just blow you off. They clearly have more than enough work but there is no sense of professionalism with these guys. I think the owner must be getting ready to wind up the business. I'd look elsewhere rather than allow myself to get strung along. read more

have a home in shelter island and came out on a Friday,found out had no water and called Gregor at 4pm, they came out within the hour and said they would be back the next day. They were here Saturday morning by 9:15 am fixed the problem and I had water by 10am. I must tell you that if you have a problem with your water- Call Gregor. I would recommend them highly.
