Went very well. Very knowledgeable. Came the same day while others said 24 hours needed to come on a future day. Everyone else that I called said I needed to first pump the Spetic Tank and then see if the main line was clogged. CDM (Mike) looked at the tank first and said it was fine and cleaned the main line first and saved me the pumping fee which probably is needed for a few more years. read more

I noticed my cesspool might be having some issues after doing laundry and seeing water overflowing into the rockbed on the side of my house. After doing some research, I called CDM at 9:30 pm on a Saturday and Mike picked up. At the time, I was not very knowledgeable with how cesspools, septic tanks and overflow vents work. Mike sat with me on the phone for about 30 minutes troubleshooting what the problem could be. Following out first phone call, we spoke two more times to monitor what I thought at the time, was an overflow vent. Suspecting that my cesspool was close to being full, I gave him a call and he came that afternoon. Mike took the time to walk me through how cesspools and septic tanks work - he even drew me a diagram of what my system looks like. It turns out my cesspool was full but they hydrojetted it which worked and is a lot cheaper than getting it pumped. After that was done, the cesspool level immediately went down at least four feet. We also discovered that what I thought was overflowing was not the overflow vent but a dry well that the previous owner had installed that led directly to the washing machine. Overall, Mike and his assistant were honest and took the time to explain everything to me and they were more than happy to answer any questions that I had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

I am very happy to write this review for CDM. Mike provides outstanding service. He explained how hydro jetting works and gave us on the job training. He is very patient and answered all our questions. He came on time as promised and returned my call that very morning. He came with his assistant and they worked together to get the job done. Highly recommended and a pleasure to do business with. read more

Called them in the morning and left a VM regarding my dry well used for the washing machine. They called back in minutes. The tech called back right away and was able to schedule time the same day. The tech, Eric, was helpful, knowledgeable, able to explain why we were having continued problems and provide a quick solution without any nonsense. He did he thing and got the dry well draining in about 30 minutes. It was a little expensive for me but worth the money. The way I look at it is that I'm not just paying for the service but also the experience of the people involved. read more

Called for service because there was an odor coming out of our shower drain that happened only after taking a shower. Rotten eggs. The shower is located on the top floor of a three story house. I was told on the phone that I needed power jetting and it would cost $450 for the power jetting and an additional $150 to find my tank. I had a good idea of where the tank was located and it was found it in about 5 minuets. All captured on video security footage. Mike does not use an electronic device to locate the tank. Instead he stabs a pole into the ground until he hits the lid. He arrived in an unmarked van/truck and not the type of truck needed to clean and fully service a system. A competitor said that proper trucks are the only ones their staff use, fully marked with the company information. Mike offered to cut a hole in the top of my tank cover and he installed a plastic pipe with a cap. I think this was to make it easier to find in the future and if there is a back up it might help keeping the mess outside the house. There was no charge for that. Later I was told that you never do that and was quoted a lot of money to fix that damage. All in with tax I was charged $760. They were in and out pretty quickly. I paid that even though it accomplished nothing. I continued to have the problem. So Mike sent two very nice guys over who looked for hair in my drains. There was none. They poured baking soda and vinegar down the drain to clean anything that night be causing the odor. We ran the water ten minuets immediately after the treatment and no odor. However the next morning the odor was back after a shower. Since they indicated they did not know what else to do after that I did not bother to call them back. We checked their license number that they gave to us but the number was not recognized by the licencening agency. I called a known and reputable full service competitor. He is concerned about them arriving in an unmarked vehicle as opposed to the type of truck needed to fully service a system. He said he knows everyone in the business and never heard of Mike or his company. He wondered if there was a proper license. I could not verify the number we were given. And said it is not proper for anyone to ever cut a hole in the lid of any system. He went on to say it is extremely unlikely my tank was ever full in the first place which made a lot of sense to me because of our unique situation. He also said if we were having a full tank problem the problem would not manifest itself on the top floor of a three story home. And he said that it was power jetted in a small area, pretty much the diameter of the pipe he installed. That actually made sense because I saw Mike move the pole up and down vertically several times then walk out to the truck for a short while leaving the pole in the tank. He returned and they put the pipe in the tank. Do yourself a favor and speak to more than one person, check licenses, make sure the vehicles arrive with corporate identity instead of just white paint. Avoid money down the drain! Not knowing what to expect I accepted the quote up front. It sounded to me like a much more involved and time consuming process. So I paid. But in hindsight I feel like a fool and nothing was accomplished for $760 except damage to the lid of my system. read more

We had issues with overflow from our cesspool (water everywhere!) on Monday morning. Mike and his crew were at our house by 3:30 that afternoon!! After assessing the problem, he not only explained it, he showed it to us, and how it would be repaired. He could have talked us into another service, but he explained that it looked good and we should be ok for a few years! We were one flush away from having sewage spilling into our home. His price was extremely fair, and we didn't have one doubt that we were not being "ripped off". He fixed our problem, quickly and perfectly. Mike took us back to show us the work done. Even his two employees were personable and helpful! I would recommend CDM and Mike to anyone needing cesspool service! Thanks again Mike! read more

I called C.D.M. late In the evening, expecting to get an answering machine. Instead, Mike answered the phone and made an appointment to perform my cesspool maintenance the very next morning. He and his staff showed up at the time promised. They talked me through the whole process and advised me to do the whatever they thought was most beneficial AND economical. I appreciate their expertise and integrity and I highly recommend this company. read more

I am pleased to write this review for CDM, specifically for Mike. Late afternoon, last Saturday, I noticed that there was water bubbling up through the rocks in my driveway. The water had an unpleasant smell and I suspected that it might be a cesspool problem. I was extremely concerned. Nightfall was approaching and the water was coming fast and furious. It was my good fortune to zero in on Mike's ad in the yellow pages. He answered the phone on the second ring and after I explained the situation, in the calmest voice, Mike said to me, let's make this not an emergency. He talked me thorough what needed to be done. We averted the emergency and then he promised to come the next day. He showed up the next day and resolved the cesspool issue at a fair price. He and Alexandria were efficient and the task was completed in about an hour and a half. As a result, we were able to enjoy our guests, revive the weekend and take pleasure in the remaining days of summer in our home. read more

Twice we needed immediate service, and Mike was there to help us very quickly. He is very knowledgeable and honest. Mike took the time to explain everything he was doing. He's simply a nice, stand-up guy. My husband and I also truly appreciate how he went out of his way to help us with some plumbing issues unrelated to his service. While my husband was purchasing plumbing items at Home Depot, Mike was on the phone with my him explaining what he needed to get. This was after business hours on his own time. We will never forget out he really went above and beyond for us. So thankful we now know someone in this field that we can truly trust! I would recommend him again and again. read more

We just used CDM and they are a 5 out of 5!! My wife and kids were home and the downstairs toilet was bubbling and there was a leak in the basement. We called Mike at CDM on 8/20/19 at 4pm and he was at our house by 6! He spoke to me numerous times on the phone because I wasn't there and he explained everything to me each step along the way. Mike and his crew took care of everything, showed my wife the before and after in the cesspool, and was one of the most professional people I've ever dealt with since being a homeowner. I highly recommend him! If there are any cesspool problems in the Manorville, Moriches area or anywhere they travel, trust me this is the company you want to use! read more

Awesome! Honest, reasonable, punctual, reliable. Def recommend them!

So grateful to Mike who came out to give me a second opinion. He "scoped" my pipe and showed me why my situation was NOT the problem another company had told me I had. Not only did he educate me, and put my mind at ease, but he also saved me literally thousands of dollars. The "other guy" quoted me $5,000 to correct a problem that didn't even exist. Thanks Mike! I should have called you in the first place!!! read more

Never again. I called last month to have my cesspool and if needed, the over flow pumped. I was told approximately when he would arrive. My first clue should have been that he showed up without the truck. I was assured (even though it didn't match what appears to be the recommendation on the website) that if it's been within 2 or 3 years I don't need pumping, I need hydro-jetting. The same price as pumping $350 but it would solve my problem. I kept restating my doubts and he kept insisting he knew the problem. Oh and it would take time to drain so I wouldn't notice right away. One month later I still have the smell in the basement when I use the washing machine or we take 2 showers. This happens after we've had rain the day/days before. It's not as bad after a long hot dry spell. Same as before. I could have flushed the $350 (plus tax) and had the same result. read more

Thank God for CDM. It was about 11:45 pm Tuesday night and I had a problem with my toilet and tub. Neither were going down. We tried to plunge it but that didn't work. My husband decided to look out back and the ground was pretty wet. I tried calling a few different numbers to cesspool companies, all I got were machines until I called CDM. Mike answered the phone and reassured me someone would be here within the hour. Well by 12:20 Mike showed with another young man. They were able to fix the problem to get us through the night until the next morning when they came back and finished the job. Having a company come out at that time of night you would expect to pay a small fortune well that was not the case. They did a great job at a great price. Not to mention how pleasant and professional both gentlemen were. I highly recommend CDM cesspool. read more

In the middle of my kids party I started to back up, After reading the review below, I used CDM, They came within a reasonable time, price was totally fair. After I Read the prior Review I found on Topix. Deer Park Dated April 3 2013 from poster , fool me once from White Plains N.Y .And also found out They were honest ! I definitely recommend CDM so is the service HYDROJETTING ***Hey honestly there is no need to ever pump a cesspool, hear me out on this... Okay, a cesspool is naturally supposed to drain into the soil beneath it. when your cesspool stopos draining it is because it has developed sludge on the bottom of the pool. by simply pumping the cesspool you do absolutely nothing to restore the drainage back to the pool!!! all that has been done was temporarily fix the problem by removing water and freeing up space!!! the most effecient way to fix a cesspool problem is by a service called HYDROJETTING, its a supercharged form of airration (airration is old school stuff), much better it actually tosses about 6 feet worth of soil at the bottom of the cesspool and the water immediately starts to drain, right away its amazing no need to pump it because it drains like its supposed to! then an acid treatment eats up all the sludge on the sides and bottom. Pumping only prolongs the inevitable!!! anyway i always use CDM Cesspool great company and one of the few that actually do an honest job and one of the few who actually have hydrojetting available!... i own about a dozen homes in long island and i used to get pumped all the time Hydrojetting has saved me a fortune and i have never really had to worry anymore about the cesspool at all*** read more
