Came home from work to a nasty surprise, was clear main drain was clogged. Water was all over the place in the basement and seeping out from main trap. Asked the contractor who worked on my house who I should call and he recommended Zoom Drain. Gave them a call and got their answering service (it was about 6pm) got a call back about ten minutes later from a nice lady "Corie" who was very nice and courteous. She informed me of the emergency dispatch charge, and told me she would call back once she confirmed who would be coming after taking my credit card info. I asked how long till a tech would be onsite and she said about an hour which was great. She promptly called back about five minutes later and told me Shaun should be there hopefully between 30-45 minutes. Took a little longer than expected for Shaun to arrive but absolutely to be expected with these after hours emergency calls. Shaun arrived and was awesome. VERY nice and courteous, super professional. Took every precaution to keep things as neat as possible. Was very very polite. Took a quick look at the drains in my basement and was confident in what he had to do, explained everything as he went to get his tools, got his tablet for me to sign work authorization explaining costs and went at it. It took over three hours but I never felt more confident after a home repair job. Shaun explained everything along the way that was going on. There wound up being two garbage cans full of waste water that he was going to have to bucket and carry up the basement stairs and he didn't shown any signs of exasperation at that prospect. (Thankfully we found an alternative via running the shop vac through a basement window, phew!) He snaked the main drain out to the street, thankfully wasn't too terrible. Some roots and paper towels. D'oh. Broke out the camera and inspected everything, brought me down to the basement so I could see which made me feel much better about the sewer line to my house which is over 60 years old. Zoom Jet cleaned the sewer line and drain lines in the house. Cleaned everything up, buttoned it all up all with an awesome attitude and professionalism. Took payment via his tablet, the dispatch fee was taken off the cost of the repair and all was right with the world again. (Just need to hit the basement with some bleach now... joy) Hands down the best home repair experience I've ever had. Would highly highly recommend. I normally don't take the time to submit comments when things go well. I think we are a little guilty of only posting when things don't go well. Yesterday (Oct. 31, 2015) I had Zoom Drain come by to inspect my main line and quote me price to clean the line (I have a sewer connection and not a cesspool) . I didn't have a back up (yet) but I usually back up around the holidays with more people in the house. When that happens I always called Roto-Rooter as I remembered my parents using them when I was a kid so figured they were best at this. Since it was always an emergency the price was typically high and I had no leverage for bargaining. In each case they ran the cutting tool a few times through my line which cleared the back-up. They never could explain what the cause was nor suggested I get the line video inspected. Needless to say it continued to occur every few years with no understanding of the cause. So I decided to try Zoom Drain and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. The two technicians that came to my house were Miguel & Garrett. Miguel put the camera into the line and ran into a large root network that was blocking 50% of the pipe opening only a few feet outside my house. (problem waiting to happen again) Turns out a big evergreen bush is getting its roots into junction in the pipe. Miguel worked on it until every piece of root was gone. Then found another smaller root about 27' out. Miguel cleaned the entire line until it looked as good as new. All while I watched the video monitor and asked him many questions of which he gave me knowledgeable answers and great advice. Also to note that the price of all this hard work was about 25% more than what I was paying Roto-Rooter. But they were simply breaking the clog with no idea of what the cause was. Then I had to deal with the issue again within two years later. Afterwards we went trick-or-treating with many of our neighbors. I spent the afternoon telling everyone what a great experience I had and how I wish I would have had the opportunity to use Zoom Drain sooner. Great job, I am a fan!! read more

Just wanted to let you know how great Sean was in getting my drains clear. He was quick and efficient and even knew some history about the different kinds of drainage systems. He was very careful in navigating the hallways and cellar and took care not to mar any surfaces. He cleaned up fully and it was like he never came, when he left. As far as sewage service goes - he was the best. We had Roto-Rooter at the house nine months ago and we felt like all they wanted to do was sell us services that we didn't need. With Sean, who walked us through the process, we felt very comfortable going forward. Also, as you know, Tina in Customer Service was top notch. They are really the voice/face of the company and when I called and spoke with Tina I was up to my neck in stress and she re-focused to problem and assured me that a worker would be out as soon as possible. I was pressed for time and ready to leave when Tina explained that she understood how a sewage problem can arise when you least expect it and let me know she would do everything she could to move the process along as smoothly and quickly as possible. I was having construction done at my home and during the process my den had flooded with about 2-3 inches of water. I had no idea what the issue was so I had called Ray the Plumber who, based on my description of the problem, had sent Shaun from Zoom Drain. He was at my house in under a half hour and began to assess the situation, and we soon discovered that my sewer drain was filled with dirt and concrete by mistake. Shaun worked with the mason people to get to the pipe and he would not leave until the pipe was exposed and he was able to clear the line for me. He was kind, professional, courteous and honest. He knew I was upset and he made sure that the issue was resolved and that everything was working properly before he left the house. He was absolutely wonderful! If I could give him 10 stars, I would! When I was transferred to Zoom Drain, I spoke with Tina who was also a pleasure! She was sweet, understanding and helpful in getting someone to me right away. I have never called a plumber before and I have no idea how much one should charge, but I feel if I am getting excellent service and professional people, then it is worth every dime. The staff at Zoom Drain were a pleasure to deal with from the initial phone call to the follow up call 4 days after the service was completed. Tina, the office manager, was patient and knowledgeable when I first called to explain the problem (gurgling in one of our toilet bowls when the shower was running). She identified the types of services that may be required to resolve the issue, provided me with the exact cost of each one, which I appreciated, and set up an appointment for later that day. Nick, the technician, arrived precisely on time. He too listened attentively as I explained the issue and immediately went to work. He thoroughly inspected the system, researched the potential causes of the issue, walked me through all of the work that he had done (it was a venting issue), and then allowed me to run the shower for a full thirty minutes to ensure that the problem was resolved. I had Zoom Drain guys at my house this am and truly amazed at their service. I called at like 8a because my downstairs sinks, toilets and shower were all clogged and they had a tech there at 9:10a! I even got a text on his way from them w/his photo, name and a little bio of who he was so I knew who was actually coming into my house! Bernie was my tech. It was by far the most professional service I've ever seen or received and couldn't be happier. The guy detected the problem right away and confirmed what was stuck in the drain by using a camera. He even showed me a camera into my cesspool to show me how high the water was and actually dumbed everything down for me to understand then got me on the phone w/a great cesspool company to drain my cesspool after they unclogged the drains. It was all completely fixed before noon and I never imagined it'd be that quick either. Highly recommend these guys and wish I could give more than more 5 stars! read more

Called Zoom Drain again for what appeared to be an issue with the main sewer pipe for my mother's house. The issue was that the basement toilet got backed up which created a total mess and affected the use of water for the rest of the house (2 floors). After calling them, special thanks to Jason, they came all the way out to New Hyde Park within a couple hours. Before coming over, I received a text with the name/photo of Shaun, the technician who would be taking care of the job. I was very pleased with the efficiency in which the issue was identified and fixed which took about 15-20 minutes. The issue ended up being a clog in the main sewer line which was quickly cleared out! Thanks again guys for top notch professional service, cleanliness, and for practicing high end safety measures! I had a massive backup into my 1st floor bathroom...I called Ray the Plumber and they recommended Zoom. Zoom sent Nick over within 2 hours. He analyzed the situation and said I most likely have a main trap blockage. Since I hade the sewer lines under my basement floor opening the trap was not an option since it would have flooded my basement. Nick proceeded to use the snake through the outside vent pipe to try and clear the blockage. It took him a few minutes but he cleared it and all the backed up water was released. Then he proceeded to snake all the way to street to verify there was no root blockages...he also scoped to trap showing me some build up of grease in the main trap for which he recommended chemicals to clear. i called this company at 2pm after spending 4 hrs trying to clear my clog myself. they arrived within 90 min of me calling. garrett was the employee who showed up and was outstanding. he explained everything that could have happened, what he will do to discover my issue and how he plans to rectify it. he used drop cloths on my floor and booties on his shoes to ensure keeping my home clean. he was very friendly and worked hard. he was here about 2 and half hrs and cleared up my issue and of course he tested it extensively to ensure it was not going to repeat. i highly recommend garrett and zoom drain long island read more

I called Zoom Drain Monday night and they were here the next morning right on time. Joseph A. was very professional. He did a great job cleaning out a clogged main line and then we scoped it to check for any other issues. While down in the crawl space, Joe also spotted a leak coming from the toilet in my new bathroom, and I gave him the ok to pull it apart to see what the issue was. The contractor that installed the new toilet did not do a good job with the installation. Joe did a great job and reset my toilet the right way. Now my toilet looks like a professional installed it. Called zoom drain and was told they would respond in the the next three hours and that they would call when they were on the way. Received a call 10 minutes later and Shaun arrived shortly after. The problem we had was a clogged main pipe. Shawn was able to locate the clog and fix the issue. Also put a camera down there to make sure everything was fully clear in the pipe. There was also feces coming up from our basement shower which Shaun also cleaned and made sure the drain pipe was clear. I would highly recommend this company. I just have to say I work for major corporation which we strive to give the best service to our customers and a alot of time when I have to use other company's outside of my job it's hard to find the same service. But when I got recently got home from vacation had a plumbing problem, I called zoom drain spoke with Tina who was so helpful, she sent Nick over to my house within less then an hour and fixed my plumbing problem. Shaun M. did an amazing job of getting to the root (!) of our sewer drain problem. He persevered until he found the cause of the problem (roots!) even though it meant removing some of the concrete foundation of the house to get at the troublesome area. I would highly recommend him to anyone having a persistent drain problem that other techs or companies have not been able to diagnose and cure. I was told a technician would be at my house in about an hour, Shaun showed up in about 35 minutes. Put booties on his shoes to Kept my floors clean, checked out the problem and gave me an estimate. Of course I would have liked it cheaper but when you have 6 people adults in a house and now only 1 working toilet money is not the biggest concern!
