Greggs is a bakery selling lunch time goods such as sandwiches, cakes and biscuits, pastys and sausage rolls. Millions of Greggs stores seemed to have popped up over the last few years and they are taking over the world! In cardiff city centre there are 5 greggs shops and there are many more dotted around in the residential areas. I think that this one is the best as ir isn't too crowded and doesn't run out of food.
Greggs is popular and good because it is cheap. A baguette is usually between £1.50 and £2.50 and there are a decent size and fully filled and handmade that day. You can also buy very reasonably priced wrapped sandwiches.
pasties are also very cheap and there is a wide range of flavours including chicken and bacon, corned beef, and beef and onion. The pasties are disappointing though as they are mostly filling and sauce.
Pizza slices and cakes/biscuits are good value and there is a large range to choose from which vary frequently. You can also buy drinks and crisps.
Overall, a good option for a cheap lunch and sandwiches are tasy and good value. Maybe avoid the pasties though. read more
