Yang's Chinese is a restaurant I remember very well since visiting as a child. I remember not even…read moretrying Chinese food before so I was skeptic. But as soon as I tried the food in this place I ended up wanted more. Especially those prawn crackers, I honestly think they have the best prawn crackers ever. As far as the prices go they are extremely reasonable per person. Roughly spending around £12 plus drinks. Now the restaurant is a buffet so it has a set price and now it's all you can eat. They also offer a take away option. You can order over the phone and get it delivered or go and pick it up. The food is just as good as they would serve it in the restaurant. Definitely go and visit New Yang's Chinese is Barry. It is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in that area. I could really go for a prawn cracker now...

Fantastic, tasty food whether you choose to eat from the menu or from the buffet…read more Wide selection of foods for both those who eat meat and vegetarians. Buffet food is constantly replenished. Good selection of Chinese beers as well as both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. You can order food to takeaway also. We enjoy the food so much that we have just changed from our regular chinese takeaway to here. You pay a bit more for it but the quality is worth it. They will happily create something that isn't on the menu for you. I recently wanted to order a mixed seafood dish but did not see one on the menu. They happily created a plentiful one for me without question. Staff are excellent, always friendly and are attentive without crowding you. Excellent place for a quiet meal or for a large gathering.

Cosmo - a really good place to have a amazing night with friends and families the foods are tasty never forget the mint&choc ice cream!

NOTES: ~ This review is based on my experience on a Saturday night, so it was relatively busy. Ambiance: This place is really clean and fancy. It could get pretty crowded so I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if need be (for large parties). Thankfully, I only had a party of 2 so it was pretty easy to accommodate and needed to wait only about 15 minutes or so. On the inside, with all the glitz and glamour, Cosmo is definitely made for a special night out to treat yourself every now and again. Customer Service: From what I've seen, before you go in while you're still in the queue, they could get a bit short with you and impatient. However once you finally sit down, the staff is attentive and respectful. I guess just grit your teeth through the service until you finally get in? Food: This is why I love Cosmo. It goes for a pan-Asian Fusion experience with cuisine from all around the world - Chinese, Indian, etc. I'm a huge fan because I've been seriously lacking authentic non-Chop Suey Chinese food in Swansea and Cosmo definitely delivers. My recommendations: ~ Potstickers. They're little nuggets of meat wrapped in flour and pan-fried. Delicious and juicy on the inside. The chef here does some of the best potstickers I've had! ~ Duck w/ Pancakes. Get it with Hoisin Sauce (a brown slightly sweet thick sauce), cucumber, and wrap it all up in a pancake. Delicious! ~ They make really really good battered chicken on a stick. ~ The queue for large dishes such as the lobster, salmon, etc takes a VERY long time so it depends whether or not you want to go. It's really well made though and fresh. ~ Get the dim sum. They're in round wooden containers and the custard buns are delicious. I'd definitely come here again.

Went to Cosmos at lunch time, it was £6.50 for the buffet and I was really impressed. The food…read morewasn't just your typical british-asian food, there were some more interesting authentic dishes, I'm honestly sick of asian restaurants and takeaways serving a version of asian food that couldn't be farther from the real thing. There was a wide selection of Indian and Chinese food to choose from, I assume there is more of a selection in the evening too. The food wasn't 5/5 but it was definitely what I'd expect when I'm paying £6.50. The drinks are quite expensive, however beer is at a relatively normal price which is a positive! Overall I'd come here again, in fact I look forward to it and trying out the other options they have.

Despite this, recently I was dragged along with a bunch of friends for a meal here, and clearing away my preformed judgements about the place, I was actually fairly pleasantly surprised. Their obvious selling feature is the quirkiness of having many different cuisines under one roof - and it's kind of pleasant to not be confined to one style for once. However, being a jack of all trades also means they're not amazing at any of them - but the cheap prices perhaps make up for that. Although I was entertained by the experience I wasn't won over, and the poor service didn't help.

I've always thought that this place doesn't look too appealing from the outside. A meal here,…read morethough, won't disapoint. Hearty is the word that sums up this place. A hearty menu, hearty portions, and hearty bar staff (doesn't the word hearty sound a bit odd now?). In other words this place isn't overly up market and they aren't afraid to be friendly and offer decently sized portions. They don't let themselves be constricted to one continent, let alone one country here, with Mexican, Inidan, and Chinese amongst the extensive range of cuisines available. This obviously means it isn't quite as authentic as going somewhere spealist, but they're never too wide of the mark. If you are looking for the real deal then perhaps head somewhere else. Flavourz (I think they let themselves down with the name a bit) offers a taste education in a friendly setting, and with big portions.
