It sounded quite interesting to be able to order Indian and chinese in one go, and there are always money off vouchers on the menu so I thought we'd give it ago. Big Mistake. We ordered some chinese dishes and the food was really bad, my crispy chilli beef tasted like fried cardboard, really you could not tell there was meant to be beef in it and my boyfriends chop suey was stodgy and tasteless. The food was quite quick to arrive but thats the only good thing I can say about it. Maybe the Indian stuff is really good, I don't know but I'm not willing to risk it.

I gave them my phone number so they could call me once they arrived. I live in a block of flats with a concierge so people need to call me to get in. 2.5 hours later I was STILL waiting for my food so I gave them a call. They had written my phone number down incorrectly and hadn't bothered to talk to the concierge about contacting me. They said they would warm my food up and bring it over. I said that I wouldn't have re-heated food since it can make you ill. After a lot of arguing they said they would cook fresh food for me but couldn't guarantee the time it would arrive. I asked for my money back. Shamful service!

I've been there once or twice, and whilst I have no major problems with the food, I've had much better elsewhere. One thing that is good about this establishment is that you have the option to eat in, which few fish and chip takeaways offer. Unlike Top Gun they also offer Kebabs, which are definitely popular with local teens. The staff are friendly and very quick with the food, so if you don't fancy the long queue at Top Gun head on down here.

It has been going for years, and has managed to hold on to its fine reputation for decent quality and value for money throughout that time. It IS rather tiny, however, so it's possible you could easily walk past and miss it - but once you've been there once for food, you'll be a complete convert. Basically, they do American fast food - mainly burgers. It's not healthy, and it's not complicated, but what they do they do very well. The belly-busting All American 1/2 pound burger with fries and a tub of blue cheese sauce seems to go down well with meat-eaters, while there's a generously proportioned veggie option for people like me who don't eat beef. They also do chicken and pizza, but to be honest if you go to Uncle Sam's it should be for a burger, because that's what they do best. Excellent value for money!

The restaurant is tiny and like other reviews have said it so easy to miss, so its beggars belief how such a small place can churn out such big and hearty portions of food. The price is ok but that is completely offset by taste of the food, as the juicy and flavourful chicken engulfs your taste buds. Of course chicken is not for everyone and they do have plenty of other dishes on the menu such as huge burgers (which have appeared to been given a real shout in other reviews) and pizza but honestly I personally think Uncle Sam's rules the roost!

After visiting both San Francisco and Vancouver I became quite addicted to these after diner treats (which also had the added novelty of predicting my future), I was therefore quite dismayed upon returning to the UK to discover that they are not generally sold over here. I had a gorgeous lemon chicken dish from there the other day while also trying to steal a fair bit of my other-halves noodles. Bit disappointed that they don't do more variety in their set menu's because I'd really like to try out a whole lot more but i like that they do a special kids dish. I have to say I wasn't disappointed with Wok2Go - they cook it freshly for you, pretty much in front of you, so there maybe a bit of a wait but isn't that the case with all Chinese restaurants. But unlike some Chinese restaurants - its tastes fresh and they don't add MSG. They also have a Wok2Go express which is a nice little system where you pick you meal with 3 easy options. You choose a favourite base (rice or noodles) choose a meat dish (or a veg dish) and then choose a flavour e.g black bean or sweet sour etc I'd recommend this place if you like Chinese food, if you don't then what's wrong with you?

This is actually probably the nearest fish and chip shop to where I live, however due to the excellence that Five Star (Station Road) and the good reputation of Top Gun, until recently I'd never even been to Victoria Fish Bar. The food in my opinion is pretty average, in particular I really wasn't that keen on the fish. The staff on the other hand were incredibly friendly and chatty and I almost come back purely due to them. What is special about this place though, is that it's one of the only Fish and Chip shops which is open on a Sunday. So whilst from Monday to Saturday I'd recommend going somewhere else, if you find yourself on a Sunday with a desperate craving for Fish and Chips, you know just where to go.
