I have happily been a patient for Dr Campolattaro for many years. Six months ago I had an…read moreappointment and saw only the dental tech. I was told Dr Campolattaro was not in . I had not been advised of this prior to my appointment but thought he must of had an emergency and this was a one off. Yesterday I had an appointment at 10:30 with Dr Campolattaro and after the cleaning was told Dr Campolattaro was not yet in and to wait in the waiting room for his arrival. I paid for the visit and made my next appointment and went to the waiting room. After waiting at least 40 minutes I went to the desk and was advised he was not going to be until 12:15 pm. I told them I had to leave for another appointment and could not wait. I was asked it I wanted to make another appointment to see the doctor. Why this was my appointment? I proceeded to my next Doctors appointment and after relaying my story he told me I should let the doctor office know how unhappy I was . Today I called and not only did I not get I am sorry I got told that when I made the appointment for yesterday I was told Dt Campollataro would not be in till 12 :15. That is just an out right lie. I do not want to spend 2 hours ( of which 1 1/2 hours waiting in the waiting room. She had no excuse why he was not there 6 months ago. So my advice to anyone if you want to pay for a periodontist do not book an appointment there before asking if the Doctor was in. I am writing this negative review because I am so annoyed with receptionist stating that I was told this. Poor customer service.

I was very nervous and had my hands up near my head, he pulled my hands down to my sides and pulled my head back. He gave me Novocain and pull the tooth out I had some questions but he told me he couldn't answer my questions, I would have to make an another appointment with the original dentist, I didn't get any instructions about how to care for the extraction site, I had to google the instructions, so don't rinse for the first 24 hours, don't drink through a straw and no spitting, so thanks to google I was provided after care instructions. Many people are fearful of the dentist; he told me that I was abnormal. This is so unprofessional, and I will never go back, so if you're a chicken like I am you must avoid Dr Ira Goldberg.

After a second set of X-rays I was informed there is no cavity and needed nothing to be done to the tooth. In the stock market they call this "churning", the act of promoting unnecessary sales.
