This guy and his staff were negligent and did not follow proper hygiene protocol. 15 patients…read moredeveloped endocarditis (an infection in the inner lining of the heart chambers and valves due to a bacterial infection from other parts of the body, such as the mouth). 12 patients needed heart surgery and one died. Now this "dentist" will be able to practice again as early as the summer of 2020! The active suspension period is retroactive to Aug. 31, 2016, the date on which Vecchione agreed to the temporary suspension of his license. Vecchione will be permitted to begin a one-year probationary period as early as Aug. 31, 2020, provided he complies with the terms of the consent order and first demonstrates his fitness and competency to resume practice, the release said. Vecchione of Budd Lake was temporarily suspended from his practice in August 2016 amid allegations that he failed to maintain sanitary conditions at his surgical office, according to the release. He allegedly did this EVEN AFTER the state Department of Health associated "breaches of infection prevention practices" at his office with 15 cases of bacterial endocarditis contracted by patients he treated between 2012 and 2014. Who the hell would want to go back to this "dr." when he continued to violate proper protocol of sanitary conditions by the Dept of Health? Most will probably never know about this, which is a tragedy.
