From the minute I arrived at Kars Inc., I felt more comfortable than I did at any other car lot I had gone to. Instead of walking up and feeling closely watched and followed by the workers, Tom approached us on the lot, asked us if we had any cars in mind we wanted to look at, and directed us straight to the Cobalt. The process of taking a test drive was a dream. Tom made a photo copy of my driver's license, and let my mom and I take the car for a test drive on our own. I always feel uncomfortable when car dealers come on the test drive, because I would feel like I couldn't make comments on things I didn't like about the cars. It was a real treat that Tom let us take our time to get to know the car on our own so we didn't feel pressured. We ended up buying the car that day! When it came to the wheeling and dealing of prices, Tom let us name the price we wanted to sell my current car for, instead of forcing one upon us. Once I was home, I noticed that my car was leaking water in the passenger's side when it rained. I called Tom about it, and even though my car wasn't under warranty, he and his fellow employees worked endlessly to figure out what was causing it, and fixed the problem without me having to spend a dime! It turns out one of the lines from the sunroof was blocked, which was somehow causing water to come in... I'm not a car expert, so I don't remember all the fancy lingo. Tom felt so bad that he didn't catch this problem before sending the car home with me, and told me that if it ever gets blocked up again, I should bring it in and he will clean it out for me. I also worked with a few of the other employees at Kars Inc. here and there, and I'm bummed I can't remember their names, because the entire experience was great. Everyone was so kind, and I knew that I was buying my car from honest people who put absolutely no pressure on me for anything. I HIGHLY recommend checking out Kars Inc. if you're in need of a car!

He took the car to be checked and was told it would need a new engine. When he called the dealership to talk to them, they were completely nasty. The salesman, Mick, was ubnoxious and kept saying he didn't believe the mechanic. He insisted my brother take it to someone else. After taking the car to 3 different places, one of which they specifically told him to take it to, Mick still refused to believe the car had any problems. He refused to let my brother talk to the manager and even threatened to have me arrested when I said I would come in to talk to the manager in person. What legitimate business does that?!? In the end, my brother is stuck with an expensive paperweight. The car died on the way home from the third garage and no longer runs. My brother was finally able to talk to the manager after I reported them to the BBB. He was rude and offended that we had reported them. He offered to replace the engine with one that had nearly twice the miles on it and we would have had to pay another $1,000 for that. Their owner also owns a Salvage yard, so why would we trust that engine or their skills at replacing one?? My brother offered to return the truck in return for a refund of $10k (less than he paid) and they refused. Horrible company, horrible people, avoid at all cost!! The people are nasty and abusive and do NOT stand behind the cars they sell. They claim to sell "highly reconditioned vehicles" but refuse to help when something goes wrong. I have no idea how they've managed to stay in business for so long. Save yourself a lot of time and money and avoid this place.

JOHNNIE HOGEN, I wouldn't even give 1 star. The most unprofessional, crooked, and unethical car lot…read morei've ever heard of. Being upfront and honest with customers is a MUST in the selling business, especially selling a necessity to most. The fact that anyone at all has left this lot and not made it home is bad enough. The fact that it's happened MULTIPLE times to MULTIPLE people and you avoid the issue until it's no longer your problem, is deranged. An older couple, from out of town, came to your lot, discussed needing to replace a totaled car, and explained their boundaries and concerns to you, and you sold them a piece of shit that couldn't get them home safely. When they attempted to reach out to you, as a coward, you dodged every call, message, email, etc. You did not reach out to them one time about making things right or explaining any sort of issues or solutions to them. They have stated that they just want things made right, not any sort of compensation or refund, and you were and are too entitled and arrogant to do just that. When you were confronted with the situation, you continued to lie to my face and blame the old couple for not driving the car (that broke down) back to your shop for you to fix. This is entirely your responsibility and, from one ethical business owner to a nonethical business owner, I would recommend taking accountability. As you've stated before, "Most dealers wouldn't have even given you a conversation after purchase" is exactly what you did and is completely and utterly disrespectful to anyone at all, unethical in your business, and embarrassing to yourself.

We brought our vehicle to a Buick dealership in Florida. After they performed a dye diagnostic check of the system, they said the front and auxiliary evaporator cores were leaking and needed to be replaced and quoted $5266 for the repairs. The estimate seemed excessive so we decided to get a second opinion. Brought our vehicle to Grinnell Motors. Had the same dye diagnostic check done. The technician at Grinnell Motors said only the rear evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced; the front evaporator core was fine and not leaking. Their honest assessment saved us almost $3700 in unnecessary repairs. If you need service work done on your vehicle and want to know who you can trust, go to Grinnell Motors. A special thank you to Luke, John German, and the service technicians!
