I will have to fix the subfloor by the rear pasenger ,and drivers side doors. If in fact they do put $1200 in each used car on average, the one I bought was missed. I live over 3 hours from Altoona,so bringing the car back just to show the holes, rusty inside rocker panels , leaking rear axle seal, and holes mentioned above we decided to send pictures instead. Point of fact ;the body shop that is going to fix the holes, and repair the inside rocker panels wouldn't do the job untill I have the leak around the differential fixed. They said the cost to fix the damage besides the body work, might make the two jobs cost prohibitive! SO FAR REPAIRING THE Leaking AXLE seals has cost $626.89. Next is repair of the holes and associated body reapair attempetd by whomever put the lift holes in the pans, estimated at $300. for a decent looking fix. To make the body repair put back to near original shape would cost $2500-$3000. Hardly a good deal on a 2010vehicle! The final insult was being told by Evan that they had replaced the rear struts. That was not the case. The cost of the rear struts I have to replace in addition to 2 axle boot covers and rear sway bars has led me to think they need to inspect the cars they sell;afterall they do have their shop on site! So far I've driven the vehicle about 1500 miles at a cost of $2300. and counting in addition to the purchase price.

Even though I had a 30-day drive-train warranty, this was cosmetic. They didn't have to fix this but they did at no cost. I had my mechanic do an inspection of the vehicle and they said it was one of the best used vehicles they've seen in a long time. Oddly enough within a few days of picking up my car, both of the catalytic converters went out. Once again, Rob assured me he would take care of it and they did so quickly with no cost to me. Some places you get a used car "as is". My husband wasn't with me - I bought this car all on my own. But I never felt like they took advantage of that. My husband was so impressed how they took care of me he said he would consider buying from them when he needs a vehicle.

We brought our vehicle to a Buick dealership in Florida. After they performed a dye diagnostic check of the system, they said the front and auxiliary evaporator cores were leaking and needed to be replaced and quoted $5266 for the repairs. The estimate seemed excessive so we decided to get a second opinion. Brought our vehicle to Grinnell Motors. Had the same dye diagnostic check done. The technician at Grinnell Motors said only the rear evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced; the front evaporator core was fine and not leaking. Their honest assessment saved us almost $3700 in unnecessary repairs. If you need service work done on your vehicle and want to know who you can trust, go to Grinnell Motors. A special thank you to Luke, John German, and the service technicians!

Horrible company!! My brother bought a used Ford Explorer Sport Trac from this place for $11,600+…read more He had it for 2 weeks when the check engine light came on. He took the car to be checked and was told it would need a new engine. When he called the dealership to talk to them, they were completely nasty. The salesman, Mick, was ubnoxious and kept saying he didn't believe the mechanic. He insisted my brother take it to someone else. After taking the car to 3 different places, one of which they specifically told him to take it to, Mick still refused to believe the car had any problems. He refused to let my brother talk to the manager and even threatened to have me arrested when I said I would come in to talk to the manager in person. What legitimate business does that?!? In the end, my brother is stuck with an expensive paperweight. The car died on the way home from the third garage and no longer runs. My brother was finally able to talk to the manager after I reported them to the BBB. He was rude and offended that we had reported them. He offered to replace the engine with one that had nearly twice the miles on it and we would have had to pay another $1,000 for that. Their owner also owns a Salvage yard, so why would we trust that engine or their skills at replacing one?? My brother offered to return the truck in return for a refund of $10k (less than he paid) and they refused. Horrible company, horrible people, avoid at all cost!! The people are nasty and abusive and do NOT stand behind the cars they sell. They claim to sell "highly reconditioned vehicles" but refuse to help when something goes wrong. I have no idea how they've managed to stay in business for so long. Save yourself a lot of time and money and avoid this place.

I bought my 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt at Kars Inc. a couple of months ago. I worked mainly with Tom,…read moreone of the sails associates, who was an absolute gem. He was so great to work with. From the minute I arrived at Kars Inc., I felt more comfortable than I did at any other car lot I had gone to. Instead of walking up and feeling closely watched and followed by the workers, Tom approached us on the lot, asked us if we had any cars in mind we wanted to look at, and directed us straight to the Cobalt. The process of taking a test drive was a dream. Tom made a photo copy of my driver's license, and let my mom and I take the car for a test drive on our own. I always feel uncomfortable when car dealers come on the test drive, because I would feel like I couldn't make comments on things I didn't like about the cars. It was a real treat that Tom let us take our time to get to know the car on our own so we didn't feel pressured. We ended up buying the car that day! When it came to the wheeling and dealing of prices, Tom let us name the price we wanted to sell my current car for, instead of forcing one upon us. Once I was home, I noticed that my car was leaking water in the passenger's side when it rained. I called Tom about it, and even though my car wasn't under warranty, he and his fellow employees worked endlessly to figure out what was causing it, and fixed the problem without me having to spend a dime! It turns out one of the lines from the sunroof was blocked, which was somehow causing water to come in... I'm not a car expert, so I don't remember all the fancy lingo. Tom felt so bad that he didn't catch this problem before sending the car home with me, and told me that if it ever gets blocked up again, I should bring it in and he will clean it out for me. I also worked with a few of the other employees at Kars Inc. here and there, and I'm bummed I can't remember their names, because the entire experience was great. Everyone was so kind, and I knew that I was buying my car from honest people who put absolutely no pressure on me for anything. I HIGHLY recommend checking out Kars Inc. if you're in need of a car!
