At the time, I was rebuilding my credit, my vehicle couldn't wait that process out, though. I needed a vehicle, and tried multiple places with no one willing to work with me. I walked into Deery with low expectations. I told them what I needed and what my situation was up front. I filled out some paperwork after selecting a vehicle at the suggestion of the salesman (this isn't bad. He listened and his suggestion was perfect and in-budget!), and left thinking, "well, nice thought, probably a waste of time". I got a call the next day. He said "We got you approved! Come pick your car up!". I was amazed. No one else was willing to do anything for me. Not any small dealers, not any other big ones. Deery was able to do it, and they did so without making me feel awkward about my situation or simply shuffling me out the door like the others. Which is good for them, as they're now my first choice now that my credit is great, and I have a bigger budget. Sucks to be the guys that turned me down. Remember, that person in a rough spot may not have bad credit forever. ;)

It was wrote in was sales agreement to fix radio and do a complete detail job on truck when part came in for radio repair, They called and said part was in to bring it in. When truck was brought back detail was not done nor did radio not work. They took truck again and gave me a loaner vehicle and had truck two weeks, came back again radio still not working and detailing was half done. They tried third time to fix it while i waited and still not fixed, always wrong part was sent or there was three different parts to repair radio with three different numbers. After talking with general manger, he assured me it would be fixed. Dropped truck off 9/10/2026 while I went on vacation for 9 days in California, Don't let them talk you into taking a vehicle off lot before it is completely ready. Once again sale department was very helpful in the buying process, service department is my big complaint

I see a lot of reviews that seem to think Tom's is responsible for their used, high mileage, low-priced vehicle having issues. Do your own research and know the common issues the vehicle you're buying has at the mileage you're purchasing it at. Then decide if it's worth the cost to fix those things after purchasing. We had a few vehicles in mind coming into this, but they didn't have as many of those options as we hoped. That turned out to be okay though! We were greeted by Marcel Williams as we arrived, and he was incredibly personable. He had a smile on his face and was immediately ready to help us get into a new vehicle the same day. Marcel was very open with us about how the entire process as well as what our options would be. We didn't feel pressured by him to get something we didn't want or to buy any additional coverage options. I'd definitely recommend talking with him if you're going to buy from this lot. There are quite a few options, vehicle-wise. Newer and a little older as well. Thankfully, we were able to find something that we liked that was comparable to what we were looking for. It's not something that we even thought of getting, but I'm glad it was an option. Coming into the lot, we were hopeful, but honestly didn't think that we'd be able to trade our car in for another one, since we didn't have a down payment and still owed on our car. Marcel and the team really worked wonders to get us into a newer vehicle with a reasonable monthly payment, which is so much more than we ever expected. He also explained all of the warranty/coverage options clearly and told us which one he would recommend not only as a salesman, but as someone who's been through a bad situation with his personal vehicle. Again, he didn't pressure us into going with a specific plan and gave us privacy to discuss anything we needed to before agreeing to an option. When it was time to sign all of the finalizing paperwork, we went and sat in with Jon Randleman. He was great, easy to work with, and explained everything clearly. Jon did a wonderful job explaining the details of the paperwork that we were signing and got us in and out pretty quickly. The whole process took about 3 hours, but that could be chalked up to us not being fully prepared for the purchase process. All in all, we will absolutely be recommending Marcel at Capitol City Motors to anyone looking to trade-in or buy another vehicle. Plus, he's just really easy to talk to and has such an upbeat attitude.
