Dr Omar was the 2nd back surgery consult we had for lumbar spinal fusion. The first surgeon did not…read morego nearly as in depth as Dr Omar and Dr. Omar left us feeling completely confident in his knowledge and ability. We truly cannot recommend this doctor enough. And even before meeting Dr Omar, his assistant goes over your images with you and basically gives the same information so everyone in his office instills confidence from the start and if you miss something (it's a lot of info), you can catch it again when you talk with Dr. Omar so that's nice. Then Dr. Omar finished with the complications and you leave your visit with him feeling like you know the good, the bad, the possibilities, the hopes and if you aren't questioning the whole thing, you're a stronger person than me, because it would be a NO for me. What I learned: You stay in the hospital for up to 4 days then go home or to rehab In patient rehab can't be determined prior to the day of the surgery as the Dr or maybe it's the PT team that has to recommend it I guess, but we planned on it and we got it on day 5 after the surgery was completed. There's a rehab at the same hospital the surgery is performed -Rotary- and this is the good rehab!! Then there's the overflow rehab off I-65. That's the run down, crappy rehab with super small rooms at SpringHill. We got the crappy rehab. Apparently mental attitude is everything. If you have a natural propensity to be less positive, it's going to be really hard on you. If you are a naturally positive person, you'll do well and this is despite your physical strength or age or gender, etc. The surgery went well and healing was coming along great.... but then the very neat (cosmetically perfect) little incision did not want to close at the base and exactly 1 month post surgery, we saw signs of infection on the incision. IMPORTANT: if you are a chunky meatball or to be blunt ...if you have a fat a$$ that likes to spread your back apart when you sit down, do not get the pretty little incision. If you are obese in the least, Dr. Omar needs to Frankenstein stitch your back closed or else you are going to end up in emergency exploratory surgery with your back open again looking for spinal fluid leaks, infection, etc. and you'll end up with Frankenstein stitches anyway! Forget your vanity! Don't risk it if you are overweight! We were mentally, physically and emotionally prepared for the 1 surgery. We were not prepared for #2 and months later things still are not great. Why? Because they were terrified (naturally) of the possibility of infection, she had to go on 2 types of antibiotics and we (family) literally became nursing staff when we were administering antibiotics 3x a day through a port in her arm pit and flushing the port. No one comes to your house and does this for you and it would be nearly impossible to do it by yourself. The antibiotics were in huge syringes and 1 was a ball that took an hour to administer. These are the things they don't tell you when they talk about complications. And eat all of those high powered antibiotics are doing to your body. It was a frickin' nightmare for everyone for another whole month and now 2 months later, she's back in the hospital for some complications from where the antibiotic port was and it was taken out a month ago! This nightmare will never end.

The environment is very clean and smells really good in there. So I went to a nail salon to get a pedicure, which I had an allergic reaction to the acrylic on both of my big toes. I had them put fake nails on so I can get a design for my birthday. A day later my toe swelled up with a blister and it was itching so bad. So I called affordable podiatry, immediately I received the text from the doctor, he asked me what the problem was and to send him a picture of my toe which I did. He then immediately sent me a text telling me what I needed to purchase to get ease from my itchy toes. The most important part of it is he was away in a conference so he couldn't get to me and that was on a Friday so I'm thinking okay Monday is Martin Luther King's birthday he'll be closed now I'm stuck but he came like the superhero he is and save me and my itchy toes. So I text him back and ask for his cash app info. At this point I was so relieved and happy he help me out. He text me back, and said there will be no need for that this is free of charge. After recently being referred to Dr. Lane, by my gastroenterologist Dr. Siegel, whom I've been a…read morepatient of for many years. I went to him after having severe stomach pain from chronic constipation? which Ive had going on for well over 15 years. By reaching out to Dr. Siegel, I knew he would get to the bottom of it. He then referred me over to Dr. Lane, who had to do a number of tests before getting an X-ray of the abdomen. What I saw on the test results was frightening. So, we have now made a plan to perform a laparoscopic procedure. Dr. Lane is a caring physician and has done a few of these in his practice and assures me it will make me feel so much better. I have suffered silently for so long and believe he will be the right surgeon for this procedure. Although, I have not searched for others to perform this procedure, I do trust Dr. Seigels advice. Want to thank them both for discovering this and treating me so thoroughly and kindly.

Dr. Daniel Lane at Surgical Associates/Mobile Infirmary Care is a gem of a doctor. Not only did he…read moredo a great job on my colectomy, he's just a straight-shooter and a super cool guy. How many people can you say that about these days? When I was faced with colon cancer I asked him to be straight with me, and he obliged and very plainly said to me, "If you don't have this surgery, you will die." It was such a relief to get a straight answer after 5 months of being sick and no one telling me even what they suspected I had (which turned out to be a 1-inch tumor in my colon). Worse still, there were actually doctors and nurses who manhandled/bullied me, finger-wagged at me, and kept information from me! And really, what kind of person bullies a cancer patient?! But not Dr. Lane. He was great - all business -- and when you have cancer, that's just exactly what you want: Someone to take the time to answer all your questions, someone who's direct, someone who gets the job done as quickly as possible, and someone who will tell you the truth, including your options, your survivability and prognosis. Dr. Lane even squeezed me in for an appointment during his lunch hour after my referring GI's office neglected to tell me I had a surgical consult and I missed it. (Seriously, who does that!?) Dr. Lane spent at least an hour explaining to me about my colectomy and what the procedure would entail. He knew it was all happening fast, and so he wanted to reassure me about the procedure, and he did. In fact, he was the only one in my cancer "journey" who explained everything, answered all my questions, and spoke plainly in a way I could understand. I wish he could be my GI and oncologist too since he ended up explaining to me what they didn't! After the surgery, I spent several days in the hospital and he checked on me every day. I've never had a doctor do that. I was also allowed to have healthier organic foods from home to speed my recovery. You would expect a doctor to argue about something like that, but he was totally cool about it. And Dr. Lane did such a good job, I went home early, having spent only 3 days there when I was expected to spend 5 or more. All-in-all it was a very quick, surprisingly almost painless ordeal, thanks to Dr. Lane and his awesome staff. Compare that with my GI's office who sat on my biopsy results for a week without telling me, and then neglected to tell me about a surgical consult they set up for me! Yeah, cause it's not like you want cancer cut out of you as soon as possible or anything! But Dr. Lane and his staff just rolled with it, and they got the job done in a mere 1 1/2 weeks -- from CAT scans and blood work to the surgery itself. Again, I can't thank Dr. Lane and his staff enough! These folks are THE best. And a very special shout-out also to Dr. Lane's medical assistant Kylie Hart. She spent over an hour calling all over the place trying to squeeze me in for blood work and CT scans, all so I could get my surgery done more quickly. Seriously, all of this happened in less than 2 weeks (!) and Dr. Lane and Kylie are the reasons why. Thank you! You all saved my life, and I will pray blessings for you for the rest of my life, which I can now look forward to thanks to you.

I wasn't impressed at all with the wait but I understand they are super busy with the Covid situation on top of sanitizing every single thing after every patient takes time so I get it. He came in, reviewed my chart with me, went over all my concerns and we had a great conversation. I'm extremely pleased with this office, the nurses, physician and nurse practitioner. I can't say enough good about them as I'd really be here for awhile. I would recommend them for any type of visit sick or well and for all ages.
