Today is tuesday september first. I had my first appointment last tuesday at nine a m. After being there, a total of an hour and forty five minutes. And only finding myself in the line for x ray which wasn't moving. I left. On my way out, I made an appointment to come back today. I waited in the lobby over thirty minutes before being called back to x ray where I waited another ten or fifteen minutes. I was then taken into a room where a nurse practitioner came in. And she clearly had no idea why I was there exactly. She was focused on my spinal x. Ray, which has nothing to do with where my pain is or what is causing it. She pushed and pulled on my legs and feet, but never offered to touch or examine the area of the problem. It became more and more clear. She just wasn't listening to me at all. After twenty five more minutes, doctor hicks finally came in. And at least he checked the immediate area where the pain is but still stuck to the spinal issue and wanted me to get an mri. We even went over my CT. Photos together and then he talked about giving me a shot in my spine after the mri. I'm not a medical person, but I know enough. That my spine is not causing the soft tissue problem. I'm having nowhere near. I told him I didn't see any reason for the. M r I and he ordered his assistant to schedule it. Anyway, so she walked me out. Explaining the process to me, and I just nodded and left. I won't be letting them bill. My insurance for any more waste of time, including the. M r I or any follow ups. This was horrible service and treatment two weeks in a row. read more

The care that they give is %100. I understand when they are busy with lines they can get pretty long and I recognize that the phone will be ringing off the hook but to be fair it's important to get the phone and I understand going on hold but certainly not for almost 30 minutes. At some point the person that is on hold is important too. I've been in a position where I had to wait on clients in line and on the phone before but I can tell you I have never left someone on hold for that long! I ended up Hanoi and calling back only to be put on hold for another 10 minutes. I love how I am treated here and the type of care they provide is the best I have had! I get my ankles and back taken care of here and now my knee so I should know the quality of care they give. read more

I have been calling for a month, in order to get an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. I've left a few messages with the woman who is supposed to schedule appointments and even with the manager this past Friday. They clearly aren't too concerned about helping people who are struggling with pain. read more

Where do I even begin??!! My wife and I were very interested in relocating to the Gulf Shores area, however she depends on certain meds she receives out here in CA for very extreme nerve pain. She's been on a regiment for the past 15 years that helps when other meds not as much. We've tried contacting this office via phone and text messages numerous times.. They gave us a glimmer of hope as they requested her medical records which she approved. Nothing was sent back to us a week later stating they retrieved them. Again, new phone calls and text messages later, she was told to give them more info and send them again and it would take up to 5 business days that they'd acquire them. This was on a Thursday. We waited until the following Friday to contact them....again, only could leave a text message to 'Kim'. My wife contacted them the early following week. On 5/29, Kim said she wound check to see if the office obtained them. That was the last we had contact with them as Kim never even texted my wife back after she supposedly checked. We began communicating with them on June 16th. The communication, to put it kindly is inept and unprofessional. All we were asking for is if she'd be able to maintain the very same regimen out there or not. This was a very high priority for us to pursue a move to the area or not. It seems we made a good decision on not moving there if this is the lack of care folks receive in the Gulf Shores area. read more

After a disastrous try to have my hubby's trigger finger fixed ,much hoopla and it being treated like he was having heart surgery as far as preop tests x-rays etc etc. We canceled and decided on a second opinion..and we are so happy we did..Saw Dr.Hunter who explains everything and is very patient with questions..Bottom line it is an office procedure for them and no need for all these tests and anesthesiologist..they seem to have the latest technology, at any rate we are so happy we decided to come here.. read more

My husband lived in severe pain until it got unbearable. He has been a patient at Baldwin Bone & Joint for several years but kept putting off surgery. He obtained an appointment with Dr Gordon and it was a very important decision he made that day. Dr Gordon did neck surgery on my husband 3 days ago. We are very impressed with his procedure to prevent staph or any infections that may occur in surgery/hospitals by treating before surgery. My husband has had no pain since his surgery and we recommend Dr Gordon for surgeries pertaining to his field. The staff and his assistant was most courtesy and helpful to us at all times. read more

Never thought I'd take the time to commend and recommend a physician in this day and age but here goes. I have never been so pleased and impressed and also "cared for" and about. I hurt my knee earlier this week and by this am could hardly walk. I have two trips coming up and feared having to cancel them. I emailed before the office opened and Lou Anne called me first thing. She and Dr. Todd's nurse worked me in. The entire staff....front desk, X-ray dept (special for them) nurses, big needle guy and Dr. Todd.....AMAZING!!! He's conservative in approach and passionate and of course extremely knowledgeable and confident about what he does. Patient to explain even though they were slammed with other patients in addition to being "on call". So if you have any orthopedic issues....don't hesitate to call them for an appointment. read more

I was having a lot of pain in my knee, and called for an appointment in the morning. I was seen that very afternoon by Dr.Andy Harcourt who resolved my pain by taking the excess fluids from my swollen knee. I highly recommend Baldwin Bone and Joint. This review is for the physical therapy department only: After showing up 30 minutes early to do my paperwork, then finally being called back 45 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, I was seen by a student. Not a student that was being shadowed by an actual licensed physical therapist, just a student. She did my evaluation and gave me a set of excerise, then pretty much left me to my own devices to fiddle with the computer files of another patient, or help someone else completely. More than once I was left waiting on the therapy bed with nothing to do, waiting for her to come back. I didn't feel I was benefitting the any more than I would have googling this stuff myself. read more

Dr Canale's nurse Karen is extremely rude and hard to deal with. She doesn't return calls in a timely matter. It is hard to try to get an appointment scheduled. When you do finally talk to her she is nasty. This type of behavior gives you no faith in getting good care. read more

Carpal tunnel surgery on hand. Did awesome job. Very clear and knowledgeable. Results can vary but my experience is great.

My son has had leg pain for over a year so we went in for a check up and Dr. John Harcourt was great with him. His jovial bedside manner calmed his nerves and thankfully everything came back clear! read more

This is for the PT staff. I was in Gulf Shores for a couple months (Feb-March) after a rotator cuff surgery & 2 weeks of PT at home in IL. The staff was wonderful. I went out of my way to go the facility in Daphne. Everyone was so professional, sweet, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. When I returned home, my PT was very happy with my progress which was a bit farther than anticipated. Thank you everyone! I went to see doctor Hubley today he denied me service today over $7.00 of my $43.00 dollars that I had, for spealcialist fee. The receptionist said let me go ask the doctor if I could be billed $7.00, "he said NO" I want the whole fifty. What kind are these people to DENIE me Health Service's over $7.00. I lost 6 hours of work and gas driving to his office. I'm in the red here still in pain and lost money over $ 7.00 !!!!! I would really give him NO stars at all. Thank you DR. Hubley read more
