During my last visit, the orthodontist misrepresented my concerns to the office manager, framing me unfairly as a disrespectful black man rather than addressing my legitimate questions about my treatment. It seems that unless a patient is overly enthusiastic about their service, their concerns are dismissed or things fall apart for her. I did not yell at this woman, I did not use any profanity, I did not use any slurs or colloquialisms. I never called this woman anything but doctor out of respect. When I questioned why newly identified gaps in my teeth were not originally addressed in my treatment plan, the orthodontist deflected responsibility rather than providing a clear answer. Instead of acknowledging an oversight or mention that this is part of the process, I was met with dismissive explanations, including claims about my prior dental condition, missed appointments, and alleged non-compliance with wearing my trays--all of which were inaccurate. * I have never "no-showed" an appointment, except once due to an ER visit. That one appointment would only account for 2025, and not years of service. * I have always notified the office in advance if I needed to reschedule.It is possible the office just listed me as a no-show. * Despite spending thousands of dollars, I still have noticeable gaps in my front teeth, which were never properly addressed. * I was charged an additional $1,500 for treatment that should have been completed under my original plan. It is unacceptable to expect a patient to be satisfied with unfinished treatment, especially when additional costs are imposed to correct issues that should have been resolved initially. Over the years, I have seen at least five different orthodontists at this location. One orthodontist was so unprofessional, loud, and condescending that I had to request she be removed from my case. When I raised my concerns with the office manager, Dr. C, the owner, became my primary orthodontist for a while--someone who at least introduced himself professionally and engaged respectfully. The new orthodontist, however, never introduced herself and spoke to me with indifference. When I asked about my treatment, she responded dismissively, saying, "So are we doing this or what?" That level of disregard for a paying patient is unacceptable. When I attempted to escalate my concerns to the owner, the front desk staff was dismissive, trying to have the discussion right there rather than facilitating proper resolution. I was then told, "The manager is busy, but I can give you, his number." * Is there a formal process for handling customer complaints? I've already had a complaint about a previous orthodontist and that didn't warrant a manager contacting me. My previous employer was the US Army. So, I am not sensitive, but you will not patronize me. You will speak to me with respect and the condescending manager in which the orthodontist spoke with me. * Does Mint Orthodontics prioritize patient concerns beyond five-star reviews? * Why am I being charged more for unfinished treatment with no clear explanation? Mint Orthodontics' reputation is built on advertising and positive reviews, but my experience does not align with that image. So, I guess they pushed me out the door and hide my problems. I have raised concerns about two orthodontists, and yet corporate has not contacted me for resolution. That is not professionalism. I expect transparency, accountability, and a response from someone at Mint Orthodontics who is willing to address these issues properly.

    My first visit/consult, I waited an extremely long time to be seen (mind you taking off from work…read moreto be here.) However, after meeting Dr. Crosby and realizing he was great, I stayed. Apparently he left and there was no communication to the patients. I recently had an issue with my new retainer and reached out to the office (or so I thought). Got a call center who didn't even know what office I was trying to contact. Then to find out this office (Richardson) was closed for a week. Again, no notice to patients. I was passed around to multiple people, none of whom were communicating any details covered, requiring me to have to debrief each person. Yet every one wanted me to go into great detail about my issue... Why would they even ask me to give detailed info when they couldn't even be bothered to relay the basic info? Long story short, this office closes and does not designate any other offices to back them up. Also, I was told after my 3-4 transfer that doctors do not speak to patients. How is the United States of America are doctors given options to assist THEIR OWN PATIENTS UNDER CARE??? I left a message with the woman (who was condescending in her conversation with me, purposely not answering MY questions but rather whatever she wanted to say) for the current doctor to call when the office reopened given I am in pain. I never heard anything back. So as another patient wrote, I guess I would have to get in my car, waste gas, to roll up on the office to actually get any answers or help. Because I guess my payments do not cover actual help or additional questions. I gave it 2 stars because the office is clean and if you have no problems and/or low expectations for service and accountability, you will have a great experience. PS - my name, which really is not hard to pronounce, is written phonetically for those who are challenged. The new doctor butchered it still 3 times while I am literally looking at the phonetic spelling on the screen. Mind you I have one of the easiest last names on earth. Using that is actually not offensive, especially since this is a "professional setting" and we are not friends. Whatever has happened to customer service in this country?!?!

My top…read moreand bottom retainers had just simultaneously broken, so I was in search of a dentist/orthodontist that could help fix them or make new ones for me at a lower cost. For a good week, I was hopping around different offices before I landed here, and I'm so glad I was referred here! Not only was everyone extremely understanding and helpful, but the staff and Dr. Nguyen were so kind and quick with my procedures! I had cleanings, fillings, and retainers done all in one day and they were so quick in finishing on time. They are very diligent about reminding you about your appointments as well, which is great for me as a college student with a really hectic schedule (and sometimes forgetful mind). Thank you to everyone that took care of me! I will definitely coming here again, and I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great dental office that will not only exceed your expectations in their work, but also provide incredible service!

Let me start off by saying the staff are so exceptionally professional and courteous. After hearing my story, they constantly reassured me that Dr. Nguyen would take great care of me and that I was in good hands. The experience was definitely better that I could have ever imagined. It started from the receptionist down to the staff...they treated me like I was the only person in that clinic and catered to my needs every step of the way! Did I mention that I'm OCD? Well the office was spotless and had a very nice clean smell to it. The equipment and technology is definitely state of the art and the service was phenomenal. Prices are very competitive and they're always will to work around your schedule to accommodate you. I love the fact that they're open on some Saturdays and will text or call if any changes needed to be made. You get an email confirmation and reminder of your appt so you never miss it. I can honesty say, they changed my view of dentist and dental care and I've been coming here for three years now. Thank you Dental Care Today for restoring my faith and trust in healthcare but dentistry in particular. I truly appreciate your service, dedication, and commitment to your patients.     I had completed a minor Invisalign set with another orthodontist but required a final "refinement"…read moretray. Looking forward to completing the project and hoping to switch to a new orthodontist moving forward I called this location. Greeted kindly, I was told this location did take Invisalign transfers but I would have to agree to their billing terms (which I did) and submit paperwork to transfer my treatment/case from my previous ortho. I noted I did not want to notify/cut ties with my previous orthodontist unless I was sure I could receive service - I was indeed assured they would be able to help me. After providing all the transfer documents, this place went silent for a week. The second week I emailed and asked if I could help somehow and was told the orthodontist was out that week. The following week the orthodontist was "reviewing my case". The next week the orthodontist was "making a decision" and then just shy of a month from reaching out I received a letter noting that after reviewing my information, I was being refused service. I don't know what caused this decision, but I was never seen or consulted. I also confirmed they never received my case details so I can only guess this decision was due to a prejudice of some kind. Because I was forced to transfer my case but it was not taken, I was left in an awful position. They clearly didn't care. Luckily, my dentist stepped in and is trying another transfer from my original ortho. He noted my need is outrageously simple and didn't understand why I would have been turned away. While I have no problem with a business rejecting a patient, this one strung me along and jeopardized my progress / entire situation unnecessarily. Beyond the unclear rejection, it's apparent some processes need work here and this practice doesn't have their act together. My treatment would be complete by now if I had never reached out to Willow Bend Orthodontics / Tamara Jones.

    So different from others…read more The knowledge is clearly above the others. The program is clearly well thought out. Clinic is super efficient and nice.
