In the past, I needed an 8 volt battery for my 1945 jeep, and this shop stocked this unusual request. Fast forward, and my need is for an 18650 battery for my electronic projects. This is a specialty battery, and local retailers do not stock it. There are online shops, but the quality of product (usually from Asia) are suspect if one reads reviews. Most of their new batteries are about half the price of a battery that you're going to get from O'Reilly's. From my understanding all the batteries in America are basically made by the same two manufacturers so you can't go wrong and buying here will save you a lot of money. My watch, yes I still wear a watch, that had needed batteries for a while but I never seemed to be in that area when it was open or I forgot. So it was rush hour with backed up traffic and not that far so decided to go right away. Who wants to fiddle with that tiny non key key for the car? I usually have it replaced every two years but obviously missed this time. Good to know the car will remind me. So 15 minutes later I was there. It's right off Bandera but a little hard to find as all the place names have been removed from the building. It's between Grass Valley and Poss by the Taco Bell. Very quick service both my watch and fob were replaced in a few minutes I paid and was back on my way. They have all kinds of batteries, light bulbs and cell phone repair stuff here but I only use them for batteries. I'm usually on my way to somewhere and don't want to spend much time. In and out quickly with a smile. As long as I still wear a watch or need fob batteries replaced this is the place for me. I often then stop at ChaChos for a drink on my way back but not this time, traffic was just too bad and it's still just to go.
