So yesterday when I started my car after a great lunch, I got a warning about my key fob being weak. Luckily for me I was in the area of my go to place for batteries. My watch, yes I still wear a watch, that had needed batteries for a while but I never seemed to be in that area when it was open or I forgot. So it was rush hour with backed up traffic and not that far so decided to go right away. Who wants to fiddle with that tiny non key key for the car? I usually have it replaced every two years but obviously missed this time. Good to know the car will remind me. So 15 minutes later I was there. It's right off Bandera but a little hard to find as all the place names have been removed from the building. It's between Grass Valley and Poss by the Taco Bell. Very quick service both my watch and fob were replaced in a few minutes I paid and was back on my way. They have all kinds of batteries, light bulbs and cell phone repair stuff here but I only use them for batteries. I'm usually on my way to somewhere and don't want to spend much time. In and out quickly with a smile. As long as I still wear a watch or need fob batteries replaced this is the place for me. I often then stop at ChaChos for a drink on my way back but not this time, traffic was just too bad and it's still just to go. read more

Terrible experience at this location, their refund warranty is a joke. They are only willing to refund your money up to 14 days of purchase. Bought a battery for my vehicle, lost its charge within 6 days Took it back to get a refund and they basically told me they would have to charge it first, went back 6 days later and it lost its charge again. John is so awesome! My husband thought that his phone was broken because it won't charge anymore with the cord charger. We brought the phone here and John checked the phone. Contacted this store earlier today, MADE AN APPOINTMENT, for iPhone battery replacement. On phone I was told 20-30 minutes, when I arrived I was told 45 minutes. When I returned after 45 minutes, my phone had not been touched. The reasoning was there were too many WALK-INS, so they were too busy. Then said it MIGHT be ready in one hour. The long and short of it, they honor walk-ins over appointments. I left with my phone and IF I allow batteries plus to do any work, it will not be this one on Bandera Rd. read more

They want you to know that they have bulbs too. Even though their website is BatteriesPlus not BatteriesPlusBulbs. Helpful staff. I found a rare 40W lamp bulb there that wasn't at HEB or Walmart. Unfortunately they couldn't replace my Michael Kors ginormous face dress watch battery. read more

I am extremely impressed with the service here. I had to get a part replaced on my iPhone and had a not-so-good experience with another electronic "repair" shop. I came here for a second opinion and they were able to fix my phone in only 20 min for a price much lower than what I expected. Both of the individuals working were incredibly respectful and informative. They were so helpful and professional and ensured that I was satisfied with the service before charging me. I needed a watch battery and these guys had the battery. They installed it very quickly at a great price. Recently I needed a battery for my truck. I went on line, ordered the battery and got 10% off! When I went to pickup my battery I left the truck running so I could change out the battery at home. I didn't even need to do that. They installed the new battery for me and refunded the core charge! Fantastic service! I am going to buy my next battery from them since I also need a motorcycle battery. read more

Dont Waste your Time scheduling an Appointment or even going in. All they will do is look at your phone and tell you they cant help you.. I took my Iphone in to get the Battery replaced, Joe said that he wasnt gonna be able to because it takes 30 mins to do it.. Why Give the option to schedule an appointment at 7:30 if they are just gonna turn you away just because its close to closing time??? Im Sorry, But if your a Phone Repair man, then you should be able to work with any condition of the phone. A cracked screen should not be a reason to hold you back from changing the Battery.... I had a bad experience here twice but I am not one to hold my nose high and never return again. People may not change, but the course of a business can. I own two motorcycles and various watches and musical equipment that require batteries and what better place to purchase them (batteries) than a place that specializes? They even install the battery in your watch while you wait and look around. I know it may not seem like you would be interested in browsing a battery store, but you would be surprised at what cool little things they have. From mega tiny high powered flashlights, to unique lightbulbs and energy saving products. The employee that worked there 9 months ago may no longer be working there as I tend to come here a lot. A lot, lot. The staff is friendlier, more attentive, and courteous. I despise leaving bad reviews because I know that life gets in peoples way and it's sometimes difficult to leave issues at home. It does not justify putting a business at risk of losing a lot of customers over one complaint over a disgruntled employee, but it is human nature. So this is my update to the negative I had to state in hopes of preventing people with a weaker heart to feel bothered, or hurt, by someone's rude behavior. The sales part of their service is actually pretty alright. They are helpful and nice in general. The issue I experienced has to do with the "warranty" that comes with their car batteries. Mostly that their policy is to hold the battery for multiple days before allowing the battery to be deemed bad. When asked about why their testing process took so much longer than any other retail source for automotive batteries their response was simply BS. They claim their process includes charging at high current with special chargers and special cables and that they can bring batteries back after they have been deemed bad by other tests. And this all adds up to taking days to test the battery. The whole time they have your battery your car is parked. Not having the luxury of an extra vehicle just hanging around, this doesn't work for me. Any other place can test the battery with a load tester pretty quickly. Even if they have to charge the battery first, it's only a few hours. Last I would like to add that the condescension from the associates after I responded that no, I hadn't left the car parked for a long time nor was it left with the lights on was unacceptable. I felt like they had predetermined I was full of crap and a liar trying to scam them out of a battery. All I wanted was the prorate for the replacement battery I was happy to cover my portion for. But they weren't interested in honoring their warranty. Their policy is to hold your ability to drive hostage while they "test" your battery and weasel out of their responsibilities. Anyways steer clear of batteries plus bulbs unless you can spare to have a car that doesn't dr be for the days it takes them to test the battery before honoring their warranty. read more

This was my second visit to the store on Austin Hwy... the first time I took my iPhone in to dry it out after dropping it in the river. In about 1 1/2 hours they dried and cleaned it, replaced the charging port and got it working again for $85. The second time was to see if the volume on the ear speaker could be raised. Hern J. told me about all of the potential causes and solutions and gave me a price for repair. An hour and a half later I went back to pick it up. He said that he put a new speaker in but it didn't seem to help, and he noticed a bit if rust on a cable so he replaced that, but it did not significantly improve the sound. He offered to put my parts back in if I didn't think the sound was better and not charge me anything. I let him do that. It is rare to get that kind of personalized service and honesty from employees and businesses today. I thanked him and promised that I would be back. They have made me a customer for life. read more
