I was worried that this experience would be another one that I would have to grin and bear for the sake of my teeth. From the moment I walked in, I knew it would be a different experience. The office is aesthetically pleasing, professional and warm; the staff were so kind, one team member was on the phone and another came over right away to check me in and get my payment. I appreciated that they sent me information prior to the appointment regarding what was covered and what was not. No surprises or weirdness there. Once I went back, I was prepped for the procedure by a staff member, I was doing general anesthesia, so they asked all of the right questions and then I was seen within a few moments by Dr. Rostami. The procedure went well, just felt like I took an amazing nap. While I kind of can't recall leaving either time because of the anesthesia, my friend who picked my up said they were great and my husband, who is a STICKLER for professionalism, said they were good. I had to call today to get a copy of an invoice for HSA, and it was in my inbox within 5 minutes and AJ stayed on the phone until I confirmed receipt. Thank you all for creating an environment where people can feel comfortable and confident in the team from start to finish. I have one more visit in a few months and hopefully I'll be all good. Since it's on my tongue, I have to use my medical insurance instead of my dental and this was one of the offices in the area that accepted it. I was originally scheduled with a periodontist out in Manassas and had a bad experience that I decided to call this office. I got an appointment scheduled fairly soon (within a week) and saw Dr. Pham. I was prepared to get a biopsy since that's what the periodontist at the other place said. I'm so grateful to have scheduled here because Dr. Pham gave me a better second opinion that it was just my tastebuds and "would be a waste" to get a biopsy done. Not only did he save me from having a week-long recovery that was unnecessary, I appreciated his honesty. After a 3D X-Ray - Dr. Lui took a look - and he was able to extract the fragment of bone - it was small and popped right out. Apparently if there is a fragment of tooth or bone from previous dental work - it can start to work its way outward - the body is attempting to "eject" the fragment. I had no idea the fragment was surfacing, I did not feel it. Fortunately, Dr. Lui popped it right out with no need for any local anesthetic.
