I have a tooth that sadly seemed beyond repair, and needed to see someone quick. I should make it known that I'm petrified of dentists, which is basically what caused my current issue in the first place. I was referred to Dr. Fishman by a friend, and trusted it was a good choice. The staff was very friendly from the start, and I was surprised they were able to squeeze me in on such short notice. When I met Dr. Fishman, I immediately knew he had a great attitude. I explained my anxiety and fear to him, and he was more than sympathetic. Every step of the way, he was honest about my situation, what work I would need, and what he could do to fix my tooth. He walked me through every single step of the procedure, all the while explaining the methods he was using. I felt no pain, and only minor discomfort which in reality, should be expected. When I say I felt NOT ONE of the three shots he gave me before the drill, I really mean I felt nothing. Amazing. What I liked best is that he kept saying, "should you chose to return as my patient....." I felt like he was doing his best to ease my worries, and at no time made me feel like I was stuck with him. I will be returning to this office to have some more work done, and I cannot give anything but highest recommendations. I am so happy I found a great dentist!

Since it seems Rothman gets very favorable to excellent reviews on the internet, I had seen nothing about the relatively new oral surgeon, so I want to say I think Dr. Nguyen-Cao is terrific! Not only did he extract my wisdom tooth really quickly without my feeling a thing, but I did not hear all that terrible noise. (Maybe because I had headphones on this time playing Prince music really loud) and he gave me a good relaxing pill to take a half hour beforehand, and I had laughing gas (which I never had before) and I think that made the process SO MUCH BETTER! I did feel a lot of pain when the anesthesia wore off but because you prescribed excellent pain meds, I did not feel any pain once I took the meds you prescribed. THANK YOU SO MUCH Sir! HOWEVER, working with his administrative team, and the finance people, has been an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! And, this is even with my family having double dental insurance (primary and secondary and the doctor being in-network)!!! The front of the house/office presents beautifully, however on the backside/business end, it sucks!!! I can't get a clear answer about the amount due on the account or even a call back or response to my e-mail. Follow-up with a patient on the business/financial aspects is LACKING, INACCURATE, INEFFECTIVE & LATE. Unless you have money to waste and time to waste trying to get a response from the office, think twice before you enlist the services of Alexandria Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Everyone was nice (from the front office to everyone behind the scenes). My surgeon and his assistant put me at ease even though such a minor situation. They were very understanding of my nervousness. They were patient with my questions and concerns. Office and back rooms were clean. I got there early, and they were able to bring me back within ten minutes of me getting there. Definitely would go to this practice/office again.
