I've been coming to West Falls Church Dental for years. Never had a bad experience and always felt taken care of and not just another head coming through the door. They provide you with the information to make a conscious decision about your dental health, and work with you on the financial side of things too. Good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good. Surgeries were great, and Dr. Carlos was so accommodating to an urgent appointment after one surgery, to ensure me my bleeding was normal. I got surprised by the cost that Dr Favagehi charge for 1 thoot implant $5000. I didn't have any other choice since Dr Favagehi participated with my dental insure so I let him did the work. I visited Dr Favagehi for 1 year until the thoot implant process was completed. I remembered i look at the mirror and I didn't like how the thoot implant look in my mouth. I ask Dr Favagehi of why the thoot implant looks like that he told me " Oh it looks like that because you lost bone " . Well I didn't know any better and I just accepted my faith. I am now telling this history because 8 years after I got the thoot implant that Dr Favagehi did infected I ask my dentist what I should do he told me to call Dr Favagehi and ask if would he be able to see me now since he did the thoot implant. I call Dr Favagehi to ask to please let me come in to get check. I am disappointed and frustrated about what Dr Favagehi did by telling me that they don't longer take any dental insurance and since 8 years went by Dr Favagehi wanted to charge me $250 just to get check and give me a diagnosed of the infection that I have in a thoot implant that he did. I wasn't asking or expecting that Dr Favagehi would fix the thoot implant infection without charging me but, I was hoping that at least Dr Favagehi would give me a free consultation to be able to know how to fix or what to do to fix my thoot implant issue . For instance, when I had just arrived as a new patient and she was explaining that they screen everyone for sleep apnea, she gleefully informed me that she "was already seeing some signs!" that I had it. Another example: she kept harassing me about the fact that I requested Covid precautions for my appointments. She repeatedly pressured me in a very loud and condescending, almost teasing, tone of voice to give some sort of health reason for these requests (even though I had filled out their in-depth health history form). I was simply too exhausted by this bullying to return for my next appointment. No patient--of any health status/background--should have to defend why they do not want to catch Covid or other airborne viruses at the dentist. It only covered 80%, but I used my Health Savings Account debit card for the rest. The dentist was very knowledgeable and talked me through it. It was surprisingly painless, but the local anesthesia does get in your mouth a little and tastes pretty horrible. Don't get me wrong, it was not a fun time, but I was expecting worse. The whole experience was pretty quick overall which is my main criteria, maybe a couple hours between calling for an appointment and being pain free. For that, I'd give six stars.

Dr. Favagehi placed an implant in my tooth in the spring of 2010 and I've had nothing but problems…read morewith the tooth since. The implant was placed in my jaw crooked, so, when my dentist placed the abutment and crown on, the tooth looked very misaligned with wide gaps on either side, sticking out dramatically toward my cheek. I have had chronic problems with my gums around it and shooting pain when I chew that throbs for hours afterward. Unfortunately, we are military and no longer live there and have a different dental plan now, so I have no recourse through insurance. Additionally, I am having to have that implant replaced with a custom abutment and new crown to try to correct all the problems, costing us close to $1000 out of pocket in addition to what I originally paid Dr. Favagehi for the implant work. This was my first implant and crown, so I had no idea what to expect or how it should look. In the interim, I had a different implant on another molar done by a dentist in Texas that is perfect and has caused zero problems. It's been a bit frustrating to say the least. Chronic pain is no fun. I don't even chew on that side anymore and have heat and cold sensitivity around that implant. It must go. I think they should refund me my out-of-pocket expenses for that bad implant at a minimum. And it would be most appropriate to cover my current additional expenses to repair it as well. That would be the ethical thing to do. When you pay thousands of dollars for dental work, it should be right or they should fix it for free. I shouldn't have to suffer AND pay double for their error. Caveat emptor.
