Probably my 15th time playing Eastmoreland. Portland staple…read more We teed off at 1:10, and got done by 5:45. 4 1/2 hour round. We were a 4 sum. So right on pace for a group of 4. Keeping pace the entire round and guess how many times the PA/Marshall came to talk to us? THREE TIMES! 1 time is plenty, 2 times is fine, 3 is ridiculous. And the Marshall that stopped us the third time literally wouldn't stop talking for like five minutes about how we need to pick it up and now I'm thinking to myself is if you want us to play faster maybe you should stop talking to us.. by that time we group behind us was not waiting, and they hadn't been waiting for the majority of the round except the first three holes when we were getting our momentum going for the start of the round. And this lady comes up to us on hole 14 and tries to tell us that we're 30 minutes behind haha, laughable. You were perfectly on pace and she said " well it says here on the sheet that technically you guys are 30 minutes behind", I just laughed and told her we're good and she wouldn't stop yapping. I almost called the golf shop right then to complain but I resisted.

There is a lot of trees for shade, cute little animals (bunnies, squirrels, geese, etc). The fairway, green quality is overall nicely maintained. They were significantly slowing down the pace of play for everybody and the two groups behind us caught up to us. Also, that's something that should've been mentioned in the clubhouse before the round started. We paid good money to come play and not deal with this. A notice would've fixed the problem. Also taking to consideration we're playing on punched greens, which again was not announced.

My favorite part of the course is actually trying to find shanked balls in the blackberry bushes that serve as the boundaries for the course. Normally, it's a win if I can walk away with more balls than I started. The views are quite wonderful, especially on the 20 hole course. And if you're a passport holder, this is an essential experience that is much cheaper than the counterpart over on the course... this is your choice if you're not stress about performance and you're on the quest for legit fun.

Today was a great day - I was with my family; brother and dad. My game has come around enough, to where scores are within reason and I am not falling apart or losing interest. We had some coupons to use and I was the recipient of a free round with a cart. Course was lush and friendly. It's in among a vast retirement community neighborhood. Lots of cute homes and patios that were pretty deserted. The day was cool but it didn't rain - huge bonus. Pace of play was great. We played 18 in 3 hours plus. Course consists of three separate nines - Red, Green, Yellow. I shot an 83 and it seems impressive but this is not a full sized course. I'll take it though, there is maybe one or two holes over 300 yards. So if you are learning, this is a good spot. As far as bevs and food go - with CoronaVirus I didn't really check it out. Think they had some deli food you could order to go. In the past they had a large forgettable bar, restaurant. I am interested in returning again. Hospitality was nice at the Pro Shop and they had some really sweet women's clothes. Saw a pair of trousers, "Skinnylicious" was the brand. ha! Putting green, small netted driving range, easy course to ride or walk.
