Never the less John came out with samples and we discussed two major buildings several roof types but selected a 35 y high end shingle. Not the cheap ones made in Shakopee you find allot here (I know them from seperates enterprise Atlas is not being quoted here). John was $12.5k under the last 2 companies I tried, both of whom flaked out and didn't start working or ever returned calls again. [Ai says this was in the normal price range but on the very fair side]. Come spring John called me first too give me heads up on temps , schedule and wait list, we had a few weather issues in the way. He came back we talked about some side jobs I didn't expect he would cover including; a shed, siding, missing soffets leading too drip rails falling off, and wood rotting. He added it for a few hundred and truthfully his crew actually did a lil extra gratas. They also upgraded all vents as well as adding one [mine were new but the plastic kind rodents can break into but no longer]. Come warmer weather this spring they got here an did the sidejobs the day before, then attacked roof , then by noon it was done. Took about 5 hours the crew covered everything by house, minded robot mower and cleaned the debris up including nails with magnetic roller sweeps. Communication has been been a high point here I simply wrote a check afterwards n it was done. Other firms I tried wanted allot more money, non compete, and 6 month commitment contracts. Plus were high pressure [ then of course never showed again]. At that point I decided Id ask for referrals an got Atlas. Afterwards I'm told too expect an inspector too double check it, then if there's a problem call any time. I have actually but only too get referrals on some tricky unrelated jobs involving river landscaping not because of any issues with the work. Good old fashioned net working. So basically I recommend Atlas for : -Communication/professionalism -Timeliness -Speed -Thoroughness -Value -Simplicity/no pressure dealing -Cleanup/protection -A mindfulness of proper conditions too adhear shingles under, he could clearly do more work but wouldn't unless conditions were correct. This speaks too me of someone who cares about reputation and quality over quantity. So I say proceed here with out qualms or doubts. Plus he's a nice guy with a friendly crew too work with. Ps. I normally don't leave reviews unless I feel it's warranted, I write them for compensation and do product testing so they are work. Doing it for free on Yelp is it's own statement. Naturally people don't know this beforehand, and they didn't ask for one

At this point, our larger concern is the lack of communication and accountability. Despite multiple calls and emails requesting a long-term solution, the company has stopped responding entirely. A roof is a major investment, and homeowners should be able to trust both the quality of the work and the professionalism of the company standing behind it. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this company due to the ongoing workmanship concerns and poor communication.

Looking for a communicative but not condescending contractor, willing to negotiate, accommodate tight scheduling needs and payment/financing arrangements? They just completed my roofing project in one weekend, with a cheerful and tidy, hardworking crew. I learned a lot about my house and about how to approach future house projects and bids, from hiring them - great from start to finish. I recently reviewed numerous contractors' estimates, and of the eight companies that came through, Green Planet's was the best. Green Planet Roofing especially excels at documenting the condition of your roof and working directly (with your permission) with your insurance claims adjuster to substantiate and move forward covered repairs, but their retail pricing for out-of-pocket work came in the upper-middle-pack of the range of quotes I received- very reasonable. Learn from my mistake and contact them BEFORE submitting a claim so that they can add the contractors' teeth and documentation to the claim. The work proposal was incredibly detailed and itemized, with lots of photos and exact materials/pricing specifications. I needed the entire roof sheathed and while using uncompromisingly high quality materials for ice & water shield, architectural singles, vents, etc., they helped me lower the project cost and were responsive to my on-site, same day request to use OSB instead of plywood. They were also communicative and flexible when I had some order-of-operations complexities regarding an insulation and attic ventilation catch-22 (in terms of new vent installation potentially voiding a warranty, but new Green Planet, and Vlad in particular, were exceptionally communicative and considerate, from making sure materials were delivered to a good spot in the yard that didn't harm the garden, to being willing to deposit a check on a specific day and give a heads up before doing so I could make sure it wouldn't bounce. I hope to have them back in the near future to install aluminum gutters - they have machinery to stamp it out on site. Will add more photos later. Super recommend!
