With a price tag that would make your gramma blush, and then to find out my insurance company said "no dice" I didn't have the roof replaced . I contacted JR with Nokomis Roofing in my local neighborhood .to get his opinion, i dont know him, he is a roofer in 55406 area. JR came and surveyed my roof and reviewed the pictures that I was given by the other roofing contractors. JR stated unequivocally that the insurance company was right your roof is just fine you do not need it replaced . I will be forever grateful to have found someone who is actually going to give me the honest answer without charging me and without doing a job that didn't need to be done . When my shingles start flying off my roof , which i hope never happens, I will definitely be giving JR with Nokomis Roofing a call. Layne came to our home and did an excellent job explaining the different rebate options, financing plans, and the entire insulation process. He made everything easy to understand and stress-free. Alexis and Tarik handled the actual work. They removed all of our old attic insulation, sealed any openings, and installed new insulation that helps repel mice and bugs. The cedar shake roof needed some repairs so I called a few contractors for estimates and met them at the house when I was home visiting my parents. Harry came over and we discussed what needed to be done for repairs and maintenance and he outbid the other contractors by a long shot. He showed me what they can do to repair the cedar shakes to make everything look newer and ready for the sale of the house. They gave it a good cleaning and put a coating of treatment on the roof to seal it which is a great selling point to new homebuyers - a roof is expensive so most homebuyers always inspect the roof and see how much time they have until a new one is needed. Harry and his crew did a great job. My parents were very happy when their house was sold within a month.
