I love this winery! It's so pretty and serene. They have animals on the farm and some roam free. I love the dry wine and sparkling from here. They have a food booth and also snacks for purchase in the store. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. In the springtime they had an entire garden of tulips that was gorgeous. They do have weekend festivities and live music and open the space up inside so they can be open year round.

Wife and I have been coming to this winery for years! We stopped Sunday before St. Patricks Day for a glass and a bite to eat. She had the roast beef sandwich and I had a classic Bangers and Mash. The wine is is great! My wife and I prefer sweet wine but I absolutely love their cranberry wine, it is exactly like ocean spray cranberry juice with a sneaky alcohol % that catches up to you so becareful :)

I visited Greendance Winery for a wedding in July. What a gorgeous wedding venue. Also a fantastic place to spend the day. The place has alpaca, sheep, vineyards, berry trees, an apple orchard, a restaurant, a market, a wine tasting room. The wedding location at the farm was picturesque and the reception was in a tent a short walk from the wedding. The winery serviced several of there wines at the reception as well as their in house catering and house made berry pies. I don't know which was better, the Syrah wine or the blueberry pie. The event was awesome. The next day, we decided to go back to the winery and farm because the place was so fantastic. We purchased a bottle of my favorite the Syrah and ordered lunch outdoors in this beautiful setting. We purchased two berry pies and berry cookies to bring home. I actually trekked all the way through the Pittsburgh airport to Tampa to bring the pie and cookies home. They were a huge hit at home and work! Love this place!

So many wines to choose from - there's definitely something for everyone

We made the trek from the South Hills out to Greendance for a Sunday afternoon with friends, and we all had the BEST time! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by one of the staff members who told us where everything was, as well as updated us on their COVID precautions. Because of COVID, there were not doing any tastings inside, you couldn't bring in any outside food, and the tables outside were all spaced at a distance. Where some wineries have mostly sweet or dry ones, Greendance had so many different wines to choose from, with literally something for every taste (and even some beer cans, if wine isn't your thing)! The atmosphere was very laid back and fun, and they even had a live band playing for the entire afternoon. They did have some food and desserts available to purchase, but the line was pretty long, so we just purchased some grab and go sandwiches and bags of chips. The snacks and wine were delicious, and we will definitely be!

Greendance Winery is located at San Hill Berry Farms in Mount Pleasant. They have exquisite wines. Greendance crafts the wine from the berries grown on the farm- talk about fresh!!!

While on a road trip, I wanted to stop at Sand Hill Berries to get one of the famous pies that my coworkers have told me about and came across Greendance Winery.

Bella Terra Vineyards is a winery, restaurant, and event venue in the small town of Hunker in…read moreWestmoreland County. It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). The total price for the flight, shareable, two mains, and a soda was $98 plus sales tax and tip (plus the earlier $50 fee for the igloo).

Maybe not that big a deal, but a lot of the Pour Tour locations don't have their own parking so this' is a big plus. I love the atmosphere inside. Rustic, but with some modern flair. A bit dark, but also light enough to see what you need to see. There are a variety of seating options including standard tables, high tops and seating at the bar. I chose to sit at the bar since I was there on my own. My server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She shared information about the winery and some of the most popular wine and food items. After sampling several, I settled on a glass of the playhouse red blend and one of their specials - a grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The soup was creamy and delicious and the grilled cheese comfort food perfection. Food came out fairly quickly and my server was attentive to my needs without being pushy. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back, hopefully for one of their events or maybe a visit in their fun looking igloos.

Now, after several…read morereturn visits, I can honestly say it has become one of those places we intentionally build into our Saturday adventures. What keeps bringing us back is not just the wine, although there is certainly plenty to enjoy there. This visit included a flight, a glass of Starlight White, another newer red offering, and the small bites that have become one of my favorite parts of the experience. Fresh bread, cheeses, olives, dipping sauces, hummus, and even a couple of truffles create the kind of simple but thoughtful pairing that encourages you to slow down and stay awhile. What stands out most, though, is the authenticity of the place. During this visit we once again had the opportunity to spend some time with Lee, whose warmth and hospitality seem to reflect everything this winery is about. Nothing feels rushed, overly commercial, or manufactured. It feels genuine. On this particular Saturday, we sat outside overlooking the grounds of Kings Mountain Golf Course, enjoying a break from the routine and watching golfers make their way through the course. There was no special event, no live music, and no grand occasion. It was simply a relaxing afternoon, and somehow that made it even better. There are plenty of wineries where you can have a tasting. There are far fewer places where you leave feeling refreshed, welcomed, and already looking forward to your next visit. Vin de Matrix continues to be one of those places for us, and it remains well worth the drive from Pittsburgh.
