I tried their new Traminette wine which I really loved. It had the most amazing floral aroma, citrus notes, and a bitter finish that reminded me of an ale. We were also treated to an amazing spread by @thecheesequeenpgh , pizza and sandwiches by @owenpucel , and a fantastic tour by owners Rich and Janelle. I, obviously a beer girl, learned SO much about wine this visit. What makes this spot unique is that they grown their own grapes . I can also tell that the love and care these great people put into their family business makes it very special place as well.

If you're looking for something to do over the long weekend, grab a DD and make the scenic drive over to Monongahela. Rich and Janelle were so kind and funny - with tons of knowledge & fun facts to share. They put a lot of work and love into all of their wines. We had a great evening at their vineyard & winery outside of Pittsburgh & feel it's worth the drive, especially on a beautiful day! They regularly host happy hours with food & live entertainment. Definitely worth checking out for a true fully PA winery and vineyard experience. Many PA wineries just buy grapes or juice fr other producers, Repipi has been growing their own grapes for more than 30 years, pretty cool. Everyone who worked here was so nice and friendly. We had a great visit.

I had no real idea what to expect in terms of the building, but I was familiar with their wines. There is a sign for the winery at the end of the road and you enter up a long driveway (with several signs warning about not bringing in outside food and drink). I had no idea that their grounds were as massive as they were! There was even a sign for a walking trail. I visited on a Monday in the winter, so I wasn't able to take advantage of their beautiful grounds, but after a great visit, I definitely want to come back in warmer weather and come for one of their events (or even just to enjoy some wine outdoors). They have a nice variety of wines. Many sweet, dry and fruit wines. They also have cocktails and other drinks. I like that more of the specialty establishments are starting to have extended offerings because it makes visiting more accessible to people who might not like wine or beer but still want to enjoy the company of someone who does or a specific event. I went in set on getting a wine slushie (they rotate their flavors, but every one I've tried has been delicious). They allow you to sample basically anything from their menu and you can order wine by the glass, bottle or as tasting flights. When I was there, they were still offering their Valentine's pairing which included four generous pours of red wines each paired with a gourmet chocolate. I really enjoyed the experience and everything was tasty. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I asked questions about the wines, where the grapes are grown, how they come up with new blends and about events and they answered all of them. Overall, an amazing experience and a place I'll definitely be back to.

The staff have always been very helpful when choosing a wine and provide tastes to see if you like them. Their slushies are delicious and I really enjoy their Greenhouse red, which is a blend of merlot, pinot noir and cabernet - sourced from Erie. The food truck was a nice touch and a convenient way to get some food, but you can bring you own with you! I enjoy the variety of events held here - the comedy shows are always fun!

And wow... absolutely divine! It's BYOB, but we happily grabbed a bottle of their Cab Franc to enjoy with dinner and it paired perfectly with everything. We started with the ricotta toast: homemade ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and garlic oil. Absolutely delicious. I honestly never even knew homemade ricotta could taste THAT good! For dinner, I got the salmon special with a white wine sauce over a bed of chickpea ragù, and I seriously could not stop eating it. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was INSANE -- rich, fresh, creamy, and you could immediately tell the Alfredo sauce was homemade and made fresh to order... definitely not from a jar. Soooo good! One of the best parts was the chef personally making rounds to check on guests and get feedback. Every table seemed to have nothing but positive things to say. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing experience. We already can't wait to go back. Make this a must-try ASAP!

He personally greeted my party when we arrived and even offered us some free samples. Our server was very attentive. Perhaps a little too much at the beginning. My party felt a bit rushed when making our selections. The only other not ideal thing was when we ran out of dippers for the baked brie we were given a hard time when we asked for more bread. We were given two slices of baguette. That was odd. On the bright side, the baked brie was delish!! I left typsy and full with a smile on my face. I'm very content with my experience there. I'm not in a rush to come back, but I had a good time.

It was interesting to be driving in a residential neighborhood and suddenly see vineyards. I bet it is gorgeous in the spring and summer! When I came in, they were pretty busy, but I was greeted immediately. There were a few tables with groups that looked like they were having a blast. One group with quite a spread of snacks and wine (they have had a cute tablecloth on the winery's table) and a couple who were enjoying a bottle of wine and a cooler's worth of snacks they brought on their own. Since I was new to the winery, I decided to try the sample flight. For $8, I was able to sample five different wines. If you purchase three or more bottles, the sampling is free. It was tough to narrow it down to 5 because they had so many intriguing sounding options. I settled on a Saperavi, pinotage, cabernet franc, apple and black raspberry. I really enjoyed each of them, my favorite being their cabernet franc (which is my favorite wine). The Saperavi was a close second, though. You mark your choices on a paper and then your samples are brought to your table. They are in small plastic cups and labeled by number, but you are given a wine glass to actually taste the sample. This was a nice touch because wines can definitely taste different in a glass vs plastic cup. The server spent time with me talking about each wine, the history of the winery, where the grapes are grown (some right on property, most of the others are from somewhere in PA). She also told me they are releasing a new Cabarnet Franc sometime soon which I'm definitely going to check their social media to see when it is released to sample it and hopefully buy a few bottles. I really enjoyed the wines here and my overall experience and will be back!

Not only were the eggs already blown out but a penciled in grid was already on the eggs. Our instructor was the mother/mother-in-law of the winery owners. By no stretch of the imagination are we Martha Stewart but 3 adults and 3 children (ages 8 to 14) had a good time. We were able to purchase flights of wine, glasses, and bottles. All of their wine is bottled in very pretty cobalt blue glass. The winery is off the beaten path. It is located about an hour from downtown Pittsburgh. Directions are very easy ... 51 South then just a couple turns and you are at their front door. Looking forward to returning when there are grapes on the vines.
