First time at this winery. I will have to say that we were impressed. We didn't expect this place to be so nice. It's in German Twp, where I grew up at. We arrived and sampled some wines at no cost. Very small sample but can get a proper taste. I liked the Merlot. This is our 4th different Deer Creek that we've visited and the best one thus far.

I was looking for something fun to do on my birthday and this 100% exceeded my expectations! the ladies at the wine tasting counter were incredibly sweet, and even gave me a free wine stopper for my birthday. after picking out our wines, they told us we could stay inside and listen to the live music or go anywhere outside. we went outside and took our group to this cute little cabin set up. there we listened to country music CD's, wrapped ourselves up in the blankets provided in a basket, and just talked and enjoyed the wine. after, we took lots of pictures on the beautiful premises. If you love wine and cute places, go here!! the gift shop also has tons of great things. my favorite wine was the watson red, try it!

Carloyn Pasqua provided us with awesome service at the Deer Creek winery- Watson Estate. What a great venue!

I tried their new Traminette wine which I really loved. It had the most amazing floral aroma, citrus notes, and a bitter finish that reminded me of an ale. We were also treated to an amazing spread by @thecheesequeenpgh , pizza and sandwiches by @owenpucel , and a fantastic tour by owners Rich and Janelle. I, obviously a beer girl, learned SO much about wine this visit. What makes this spot unique is that they grown their own grapes . I can also tell that the love and care these great people put into their family business makes it very special place as well.

Cute Winery Outside of PGH…read more We had such a great time checking out this lovely family owned and operated winery about 45 mins or so south of Pittsburgh. If you're looking for something to do over the long weekend, grab a DD and make the scenic drive over to Monongahela. Rich and Janelle were so kind and funny - with tons of knowledge & fun facts to share. They put a lot of work and love into all of their wines. We had a great evening at their vineyard & winery outside of Pittsburgh & feel it's worth the drive, especially on a beautiful day! They regularly host happy hours with food & live entertainment. Definitely worth checking out for a true fully PA winery and vineyard experience. Many PA wineries just buy grapes or juice fr other producers, Repipi has been growing their own grapes for more than 30 years, pretty cool. Everyone who worked here was so nice and friendly. We had a great visit.

I found this great winery because I'm doing the pour tour and it wasn't that far from an area I was…read morein. I was pleasantly surprised at what a charming and great place it is. It was interesting to be driving in a residential neighborhood and suddenly see vineyards. I bet it is gorgeous in the spring and summer! When I came in, they were pretty busy, but I was greeted immediately. There were a few tables with groups that looked like they were having a blast. One group with quite a spread of snacks and wine (they have had a cute tablecloth on the winery's table) and a couple who were enjoying a bottle of wine and a cooler's worth of snacks they brought on their own. Since I was new to the winery, I decided to try the sample flight. For $8, I was able to sample five different wines. If you purchase three or more bottles, the sampling is free. It was tough to narrow it down to 5 because they had so many intriguing sounding options. I settled on a Saperavi, pinotage, cabernet franc, apple and black raspberry. I really enjoyed each of them, my favorite being their cabernet franc (which is my favorite wine). The Saperavi was a close second, though. You mark your choices on a paper and then your samples are brought to your table. They are in small plastic cups and labeled by number, but you are given a wine glass to actually taste the sample. This was a nice touch because wines can definitely taste different in a glass vs plastic cup. The server spent time with me talking about each wine, the history of the winery, where the grapes are grown (some right on property, most of the others are from somewhere in PA). She also told me they are releasing a new Cabarnet Franc sometime soon which I'm definitely going to check their social media to see when it is released to sample it and hopefully buy a few bottles. I really enjoyed the wines here and my overall experience and will be back!

Not only were the eggs already blown out but a penciled in grid was already on the eggs. Our instructor was the mother/mother-in-law of the winery owners. By no stretch of the imagination are we Martha Stewart but 3 adults and 3 children (ages 8 to 14) had a good time. We were able to purchase flights of wine, glasses, and bottles. All of their wine is bottled in very pretty cobalt blue glass. The winery is off the beaten path. It is located about an hour from downtown Pittsburgh. Directions are very easy ... 51 South then just a couple turns and you are at their front door. Looking forward to returning when there are grapes on the vines.

Figured, "what the heck, I like wine!" What I found was a totally unexpected and wonderful experience. Most smaller mom 'n pop wineries are just not that good. Especially those outside the normally expected areas like Napa, Russian River Valley, etc. The ambiance is both country and modern at the same time. Meaning clean lol. The decor and welcoming smile scream "welcome home" and at the same time subtly describe a very modern wine experience. Apparently they get their grapes from California then make wine here. And it shows. This is the first Pinot Noir I've had outside Oregon that was actually good! The Montepulciano was very good too! I will admit I only tried one sampling of each of the reds and over half were great. Which is saying something. Also nice was the simple yet tasty charcuterie service. The presentation was simple yet appropriate. Sitting outside, enjoying the Sun and countryside just made the experience a visit to remember. If you ever want to try a local winery, sit at a relaxed venue, be served with a smile, and leave with a coups of fantastic bottles of wine, definitely make your way here. And apparently if you come on Sunday, you'll enjoy some live music to boot!
