Another update to my review. Here is the concrete portion after one winter. A result that was a concern of mine from the initial onset. I asked if Wayne and his team would break away old concrete because I knew if I had just patched it myself that it would eventually end up looking like this. Wayne shared that it wasn't necessary and that they could coat it with a sealant to help prevent. They did, twice, after it started cracking after the first attempt. We hired Green World to do some tuck pointing spot repair work as well as replace some of the glass blocks in several units of our condo building. The mortar between the glass blocks were never sealed in any of the units (despite all the blocks around them being sealed and it being stated they will do so in the contract). When you shower the mortar crumbles and it even crumbles to the touch. The work done to the front and roof of the building is also not sufficient, they misidentified Renaissance stone as limestone and they left materials including an open box cutter on our soft TPO roof and I witnessed a worker spreading caulk on our coping with his fingers (??). At this point we don't want them back to see through the warranty on the work; and getting a response and getting them to show up when they say they will is absolutely part time job as it is. read more

After they finished the roofing job, we hired them to knock down a brick wall running from the house to the garage. I shouldn't have paid in full the day that they came out because they never finished the job and we had to keep calling over weeks and weeks to get them to come back and at least move some of the bricks out of the way. Even worse, the work that they did on the roof turned out to be absolutely terrible. The original job we hired Green World Construction and Roofing to do was to permanently seal the roof membrane after we had had the parapet wall rebuilt the previous fall. The masons who had done that work did a fantastic job and laid down temporary plastic sheeting to keep everything dry over the winter. Everything was fine and we had no leaks even during the worst storms during the spring. Then Wayne came out in late May to "seal" the roof membrane and remove a wood walkway from the roof... fast forward about a month later to water gushing all the way down to the basement along the INSIDE of our brick walls. I don't think they used any flashing or anything to seal the membrane to anything under the coping. After about a month I could fit my entire hand between the roof membrane and the parapet bricks in some areas. In one place where they did use a termination bar, it wasn't caulked. When we had originally discussed the job, Wayne had mentioned that you usually place the coping blocks at the end, over flashing... it was obviously pretty dumb of me to assume that he would come up with an alternative or just maybe temporarily remove the coping blocks, put down flashing, then replace the blocks? I mean, this company does say that they also do masonry work... I don't know what I expected, but definitely not worse water damage after replacing a TEMPORARY PLASTIC SHEET. I do understand that mistakes happen,sometimes life can be crazy and messy and hard and that sucks. That said, we've been trying to chase him down to fix this for months now. After weeks of calling and texting, he came out to slap on a "temporary patch" out of some tape and a few splashes of tar until he could come out to complete the repair the following week. He never showed up and the "patch" washed away in the first rain... Luckily, the masons who did the original work are back doing tuck-pointing on another part of the house and they offered to temporarily remove the coping blocks for a real roofer who is actually going to seal the roof membrane. If you need someone to remove stuff (partially... eventually) hire Wayne. read more

I had several estimates and ultimately went with Green World after a neighbor recommended this company. Wayne was extremely patient in answering all of my questions when I was comparing the different estimates. He spent the time to explain the different shingles and the process of the roof replacement. We were, also, replacing some vinyl siding along with the roof. All the materials were delivered on Friday and work was scheduled to begin on Sunday. I had second thoughts about the color of the siding 7pm on the day of delivery and texted Wayne asking if it was too late to change the color. He called me back immediately and said he would swing by the morning to lay the siding against the wall so that I can decide if it would work or not. Wayne was extremely patient with the whole process. On the day of the job, his crew showed up exactly on the hour they said they would. They worked efficiently the entire time they were here. I saw his crew put up the siding and it was done with great care and precision. Wayne regularly went up on the roof throughout the day and gave me updated pictures during the whole process. The crew did an excellent job cleaning up the entire area after they were done. A great crew and a great leader. I strongly recommend Green World. read more

My kids paid to have my front cement stairs resurfaced for my birthday. The work was slow and sloppy! The original work the steps were so uneven and lumpy that there were pools of water on the stairs! He came back and allegedly blamed the stairs for being old. He allegedly resurfaced and sealed the stairs. But less than 5 months later the stairs have cracked and crumbled. My kids were trying to do something nice for me and they just threw over $1000 away! I had some wind damage to my siding. I called Green World based on some reviews I read and left a message. Wayne got back to me quickly and was able to come out and inspect the damage and offer a plan/quote the next day. Wayne is an agreeable guy so I decided let's get this repaired as soon as possible. That wasn't able to happen till after a few days but it's nothing to do with their service, but the nature of the work to be done, and the cold blast we had in January. My fiance was the one to coordinate with Wayne, but with such a rainy spring/summer, Wayne was very responsive and able to come do the job in a timely manner. Had quite a few problems with drywall on 3 walls and 3 different ceiling sections. Imperfections and poor patching from the past made the walls and ceiling ugly.
