Great shop! So knowledgeable! Very reasonable prices! So many choices, I can't wait to go back in the summer!

Drove an hour to see what it was all about. The prices were good they had a good selection of bonsai pots from plastic pots to beautiful hand made pots. They also had good options for bonsai tools, soil, fertilizer, and figures. It was snowing and cold but my family and I had an amazing time. The staff/owners were so welcoming and Santa had shown up! He listened to my daughter's Christmas list and then proceeded to give her a Peppa pig stuffed animal which was easily the highlight of the year for her. I should have written this review years ago! I Love this store! I have found so many faerie garden items and miniature plants that I love. I moved to Texas and still visit here every time I come home. If you're in the market for flowers, gifts, bonsai supplies & plants, and faerie garden supplies this is your place. We were in town visiting friends, so I decided to stop by this cute little nursery in Monroe. It has a great selection of bonsai plants and supplies and was well worth the stop. The Flower Market is under new ownership. They've expanded and have plan to expand further. They offer a wide range of plants, bonsai supplies, fairy gardens, and an array of curiosities that make great gifts! They also have some wonderful incense at a great price. In addition to all this, they offer a variety of classes and events including meditations in the beautiful garden. So go down there, pet the cats, feed the koi, and spend some time (and money) in this beautiful greenhouse and store! read more

I never knew how beautiful tiny little trees were until I stopped here yesterday. This place it at the halfway point on M-50 to US23. And everyday I went to work I wanted to stop by. I finally got my chance! The store specializes in the tiny-as in fairy gardens and bonsai. They have so much to make your perfect miniature landscape-little gazing balls, birdhouses, fairies, etc. And all sorts of containers to keep your masterpiece in! But the best of all was the bonsai trees! It's so grey and dreary here in Michigan during the winter that it would be heaven to have a mini-tree on your desk to keep you sane! They are so wonderful! They even have classes where you can make your own! Stop by when you have had enough of winter, or when you want to create a perfect place for your favorite winged person! read more

It's like stepping into another world when you walk through the doors.... Small boutique area with silk arrangements, wreaths and collectibles. Turn the corner and there is the cooler with fresh arrangements and loose flowers to choose from. There is also a large selection of jewelry and scarves. Continue on into the showroom and it's all things fairy garden. From Fairies and decorations to houses and animals, they have it all. Also, a nice sympathy area with concrete and acrylic benches, blanket throws and wind chimes. Looking to the back of the showroom you're greeted by a green glow. They have a fully stocked greenhouse with a huge selection of tropical bonsai, house plants, succulents, cacti and other tropical plants. It truly is nice to stop in and visit Spring even when it's cold outside. The showroom also has a large selection of bonsai pots from all over the world. An Asian theme is seen throughout this area. There is an extensive, outdoor cold-hardy bonsai garden with a large selection of beautifully aged trees and pre-bonsai for sale. A nice area to come and wander when you need to recharge. Complete this with a fully decorated fairy garden in the warmer months and two koi ponds, you could wander for an hour or more and still not completely take in all that this "little" shop has to offer. read more

Very disappointed. I ordered flowers for Easter to be sent ahead of time to future in-laws I hadn't met before. The arrangement was blah and boring. I asked for spring colors and what was delivered was mostly white with a light pink ribbon. It was embarrassing. Thank goodness it's the thought that counts! read more

If you are a bonsai fan definitely check out this place :) they have a huge variety of both indoor and outdoor bonsai and a huge range in style and prices. there is something for everyone from beginners interested in getting their first tree to experienced bonsai artists. they also have tons of tools, pots, etc. everything you need in one place. I drove here from near Lansing and am SO GLAD I made the trip. This is an absolute wonderland!! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and SUPER HELPFUL!! They have an absolutely enormous selection of plants, pots, mini trellises, and ornaments. I bought plants for my fairy garden and a bunch more for all around my house. The staff was very knowledgeable about the plants they sell and gave me great advice on which plant grow quickly, which are hard/easy to grow, and also gave me great advice on how to care for my fairy garden. I absolutely recommend this shop. I will absolutely visit again!! read more

Definitely a must see for the Bonsai enthusiast. They have quite a large selection compared to other places in Michigan. In addition, they have a lot of supplies--pots, soil, tools, etc. I have only seen the indoor section as I went in the winter so look forward to seeing the outdoor bonsai and will update my review then. Two downfalls for me as a consumer. One, the "soil" they use is 100% rock based. This is great for drainage but since it holds no moisture you are watering 2-3 times a week. This is fantastic in a greenhouse setting like they have but not for homes. Second, like most greenhouses, they mix fertilizer in their watering source and water from above so all the leaves are stained with fertilizer deposits. I thought they would rinse off but two months later and my tree still looks speckled. They spray the trees with leaf shine to hide it at the register, but once that wears off it looks terrible. Still, a very cool place to visit for knowledge, ideas, supplies and such but I prefer to buy my trees elsewhere for the reasons stated above. read more

My fiance and I met with The Flower Market in January 2013 put down a deposit for our wedding in May, and went over all of the flowers we wanted for our wedding. For Valentine's Day my fiance ordered from The Flower Market the same flowers from our wedding selection we chose. In March my fiance went back again and ordered flowers from our wedding selection we chose again for my birthday. My wedding was four days away and my Church wedding coordinator reached out to finalize delivery time for the flowers. So The Flower Market told her they were unsure if we still wanted him to do our wedding flowers because he had not heard from us. Then I received a call stating that even though we put down a deposit, our flowers were not ordered because The Flower Market stated they did not know what we wanted or how to get in touch with us. And our final payment was due a week ago. No one ever called me, he said he told me in January 2013 that payment was due 2 weeks before the wedding but, then stated he did not have a phone number for me. I am in the phone book and my fiance called twice during that time! I cannot believe The Flower Market would do this to anyone planning a Wedding or any other event. It is very unfortunate, I have lived locally for 16 years and have always ordered flowers there or had flowers delivered from there. Never Again, I cannot believe after I put down a deposit and my fiance had been in there twice and provided his phone number twice that something like this happened. Stay Away, very unreliable!! read more
