It's really sad to see all of the negative reviews of this office on here. I've been coming to this office since I moved to Las Vegas in the early 2000's. I've seen about 4 different doctors/physicians assistants during that time period. Even when I didn't like one of the PAs (and I mean I did not like her, she was rude to me about my weight all the time, assuming what I eat and don't eat, while she was fat herself, and had gross long acrylic nails that I swear popped out of the gloves once and she tried to hide it), I still came into this office. I don't always have an issue with appointments. Actually, the last appointment I had was the only one where I actually had a problem and got mad. My PA left the clinic so they rescheduled me with a different doctor but at 10am instead of 8am. I couldn't make that because of work and pressed cancel on the automated line. I realize this was a mistake and call back immediately and speak to someone who tells me that she made sure the appt wasn't cancelled and pushed it to 245pm for me. I walk in at 230, no appointment. Luckily, the sweet person in the front fit me in to see Dr. Torres. I haven't seen a male doctor since I had a traumatic experience as a child and she made me feel much better about it. I've never noticed any weird billing or any shady stuff in the almost 2 decades I've been coming here. If this last time was my only "problem" then I feel really lucky to have this place. read more

Took them two days to answer my call and I finally was able to make an appointment, never sent me a follow up call or email about my appointment like they usually did in the past. Then when I had to reschedule my appointment I called at least three times for two days and left voice message everytime, because they don't know how to answer the phone even when they're "open". I just had the best Pap smear and breast exam I have ever had in my life. Maya got me settled into my exam room. She was calm, sweet, and informative. She put me at ease right away and told me all the things I needed to know. Then, Danielle Pringle came in to do my exam and pap. She was warm and engaging from the get-go. She talked me through every step of the exams. I totally knew what to expect with each move and, as uncomfortable and awkward as these exams can be, she put me at ease because I wasn't surprised by anything. She also was quick and efficient. Let me just start off by saying i don't do these ever, however, my experience throughout this process needs to be made aware to others. If you don't need urgency or people who care, this is the place for you. I've called several times to change my birth control to what it normally is, this is the second year she's just tried to get me on another one without explanations as to why? This just makes me ponder that she wants to get me on one she gets more kick back for rather than giving me something that works for me. To make matters worse, you call and leave messages, they're never returned and here I am without birth control because I do not want to switch to something that's foreign to my body. To the brunt of why I'm going to search for better care elsewhere, I found a lump in my chest, while I'm freaking out about the unknown, Dr Tyre gives 0 empathy to the situation to alleviate any stress. Her MA is actually worse and instead of helping you with suggestions of where to call for a mammogram she just gives you a paper and an empty promise of "I'll call and follow up with you" - can confirm she has not and does not. Finally i was able to get my results in - instead of them calling me I HAD TO CALL THEM. I not only had to schedule a "telehealth" appointment, but the MA called an hour prior to the appointment and said "Dr had an emergency surgery today so sorry but you have to wait until your June appointment." My mental health over this whole experience has gone to shit and the medical care here hasn't helped either. Meanwhile the MA telling me this, i said "you can't just send me my report!? I'm worried for my health and need to know if something is wrong with me? It takes 5 minutes to talk, this is ridiculous." After this, it seems she suddenly gave a shit about my frustration, called me twice and then Dr Tyre was able to call me about 30 minutes after scheduled appointment. I get that life happens but this place either just doesn't give any shits about how people feel or they bite off way more than they can chew which is also unfair to anyone that goes to them. I'm leaving this review to make it aware to women who have genuine concerns about their health this office is not for you and please, please, please do your research. read more

Dr Torres and Dr Tyre were the first doctors to take me seriously after years with a gynecologist who downplayed my heavy periods and pain. Turned out that I did have endometriosis after all. Dr Torres did a cyst/fibroid removal in 2020 during the pandemic but unfortunately three years later, everything came back with a vengeance. When it was clear that my ultrasounds came back a mess, Dr Torres's respected my decision that I wanted a radical hysterectomy (ovaries and all yeeted right out). I'm currently almost 4 weeks post op and fully happy with my decision as it turned out my endo had reached stage 4. The younger girl at the front desk has always been nothing but nice and helpful as well as Chloe who schedules surgery and also willingly answered all questions that we called her with during the process and after. I did have a little bit of a mix up with one of the nurses when I got a call stating I needed to get lab work done before an appointment I had on Monday and was told this at late afternoon on a Friday when they were about to close and my appt was only two days later but once again the girl at the front desk was very helpful and found alternative solutions for me. All around the front desk staff use to be not so friendly a few years ago but that hadn't been my experience recently and honestly I'll take a doctor that actually LISTENS to me over anything. read more

I am not sure why Green Valley Ob/Gyn gets such poor reviews. I went to a different gynecology practice when I moved here 5 years ago, and I felt like they set up all of their rules around setting appointments to squeeze as much money (and time) out of the patient as possible. At GV OB/GYN, my experience couldn't be more different. I've seen Dr. Pena twice for an AE and Pap, and then again for an IUD removal and insertion. I have enjoyed my two interactions with Dr. Pena very much. She is a kind and caring physician. Her exam/procedure skills are as good as they come, and she has even gone out of her way to try to help me coordinate referrals for non-gyn-related issues. She has never made me feel rushed and is always on time. I am happy to have found a good Gyn in Henderson :) read more

It is worse every time. It says they check is through out the day but they don't. I also takes them multiple days to get back to you if you patient portal. I have been going here since I was 16. I am now 26. Sylvia has been my doctor for a few years now. She is also the doctor for several other women in my family. We all love and trust her. I've never had issues with my prescriptions WHEN I CALLED ABOUT PHARMACY ISSUES RIGHT AWAY. The ladies at the front desk and the medication nurse are very helpful. Their scheduling and appointment times are strict. To avoid any issues with booking your appointment, plan to be there 30 minutes early. They need you to be 15 minutes early so your appointment can start on time. ie: your appt is at 3:30pm. You should be there no later than 3:15pm. If you aim to get there at 3pm you will either be early or on-time in the event of traffic. Yes, there is a fee for last minute cancelations and no-shows. They remind you every time you make an appointment. This should be no surprise to anyone. Yes, things happen & sometimes you have to cancel (ie. a car accident or other medial emergency). Perhaps they will work with you but I'm not sure since I haven't had any issues yet. During Covid: wear a mask & don't bring anyone else with you unless it's your non-adult child. This is to help keep EVERYONE safe; the staff, other patients, yourself, & your kids! She saved my life 4 months after my son's birth due to the ineffectiveness of the VA and Henderson Hospital. The billing office-- I give negative 5 stars as they refused to respond to my insurance company, would not return calls, changed numbers in between a billing cycle, and eventually sent my debt into collections. Debt that would have been paid if billed correctly. It's fascinating that this Yelp page has been abandoned as their rating has consistently plummeted. So. Good doctors? Yes. Good everything else? Let's be real. No one ever really looks forward or wants to go to the OBGYN. It's not a fun time for us ladies. Really, it's probably the worst thing we do not look forward to once a year. But this place eases that. Let's start with before I got there. One of the reasons I gave four stars was simply because I wasn't asked the last time I went here if I wanted to make another appointment. I don't really pay attention to my prescription so when it ran out, I was like what the what. Apparently, I had missed my annual appointment by four months. Wild. I called and made the appointment and from there it was easy. They sent me text reminders, too, which I really appreciated. I'm sure when I originally made this appointment, they probably mentioned that I should get there a half hour early to fill out paperwork since my last name and my insurance had changed in the last time I visited. But, of course, I didn't do that. Everything for me ran about a half hour slower, probably because I didn't do that. So if you have any updates to make, I recommend getting there a half hour before your appointment time. From there, it was quite easy. I'm pretty happy that they make you take a urine sample at the very beginning just in case the doctors need to test for anything. My visit went extremely smoothly. Sylvia the nurse practitioner is my favorite! She was so sweet when she greeted me and of course the ever so popular question of when I'm having kids came up. But to be fair, if anyone is to ask, it makes sense she did. The appointment went super quick, but I never felt like I was being rushed. Nobody wants to stay and hang out for their annual. They want that to go as fast as possible. But I truly appreciated that Sylvia took time out of her day to explain some things to me especially since I'm newly married and will be having kids some day, and really that is my only chance to ask questions for another year. Will definitely continue to go back. And will continue to see Sylvia. Thanks for making something not so fun a little more easy and less stressful! read more

Please save yourself a ton of time and money. Although Dr. Tyre is a competent obgyn, the front desk receptionist Samantha is clueless and has a horrible attitude. Nothing is her fault and she blames the patient for her mistakes. I would be surprised if she could pour piss out of a boot with the instructions on the bottom. The scheduling is horrendous...if you make an appointment make sure you verify again before you drive there, because they magically disappear. While waiting in the office, 2 girls arrived for appt.s they were told dont exist. Based on prior reviews.. this is a trending theme The office manager Errie, which is a fitting name, is worthless and has no compassion. She is very focused on billing what she can to squeeze every penny from you. Its ok to help out your patients and work with them...its called customer service. Please do not waste your time on this joke of an office. The Dr's have no say when it comes to how the service they provide is billed. Errie has more say when determining the service provided to you, than your Dr. does. Just ask her. I have been seeing Dr. Torres for a couple years now and he is the most amazing doctor! He has helped me tremendously with my endometriosis and my ovarian cyst. He is always available when I need him and makes me feel valued. I recently just gave birth to my sweet boy. It was a emergency c-section and he made me feel so calm under crazy circumstances and came to the hospital right away to make sure he was the one to take care of me. I was a patient here for my entire pregnancy and even afterwards and I should have left early on. I stopped going there after they never returned phone calls, the staff had attitudes when I came in. Very strange catty behavior. Some of the staff wouldn't allow me to make an appointment one time for a problem because I didn't have current symptoms, but you still should always go in to see if the problem is still there without symptoms and the staff had to be told by the nurse that I should come in. And behold the problem was still there. That's what did it for me. I had to go to so many higher ups to get simple things done. I can't comment on the medical care as I never actually got to see a doctor. My original appointment was scheduled over the phone and I specifically requested Dr. Tyre for January 8. On January 8 I was 10 minutes late due to CES traffic. So they would not see me. Ok that is their policy, so be it. The woman behind the desk said that I was not even scheduled with Dr Tyre which was upsetting as I waited for weeks for the appointment. She rescheduled me for Jan15 at 4p (see photo) and sent me away with new patient paperwork. Today (Jan 15) I arrive at 3:05p for my 4p appointment. At 3:45p I go to the desk to see what is going on. I find out my appointment was not in the calendar AND that Dr Tyre had left for the day! If the office is this disorganized I can only imagine the mistakes that happen with patient records, test results, etc. So maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I took my paperwork and left. As I'm sitting in the office I know people are calling and not one phone is ringing. As I finally get someone to answer I let them know exactly what I have stated in this review an let her know that my prescription was never called in and had been pending since 9.24.21 she assured me it would be handled. I was scheduled for a appointment for the next day 10.28.21 9am rolls around STILL NO prescription smh I call CVS the pharmacist says "we have been trying to reach them" . I called of course 25 times ,25 TIMES no answer so I had to physically drive to my dr. At 10 am to tell them my prescription STILL wasn't called in an I should never have to do that. I had to again reschedule my appointment. God forbid I was pregnant I would literally lose it. I have been going to Dr. Tyre for 29 years. She delivered all 3 of my children. She is attentive & cares about her patients.

First off I'd like to start off the new girl is a gem and she has nothing to do with this so in advance to make things clear Horrible place and horrible freaking staff, especially the fat white girl with glasses and a bitter attitude, this entire pregnancy they have been nothing but unhelpful and useless and not only caused me stressed and confusion but also have wasted my entire time being with them, I'd like to start off the fact they never called me back for my results as they were abnormal and I'd had find out myself through the website link they gave me which is honestly ridiculous ESPECIALLY since my blood pressure showed it was HIGH and was not told a goddamn thing. Second of all, as others have complained they never answer the phone and have continously lied about calling me and leaving voicemails claiming, "their phone doesn't work well" (which if thats the case then freaking get it fixed since you have patients who need care) and have said my phone was "out of service" which is also a lie because well obviously I have service to call them hence the issue above. Third of all, they have messed up appointments in the past and the one that was truly stressful and irritating was the fact that they messed up my 20 week ultrasound appointment TWICE, not only made my husband take off work to take me to both of those appointments but also got everyone's hope up, all I got from one of those appointments was just having a doppler checked up on me and sent me off, a mix up with my information AND misinformed me about the appointments. Finally, when I had enough of their bullcrap, I found another obgyn to transfer but they just needed my medical records to review and assign me a doctor so I asked that fat white girl with the glasses for my medical records and she told me to transfer medical records for free they have to do it themselves and if I need my records myself I have to pay 30 cents-60 cents a page which is honestly messed up because I have never once heard of people charging to take YOUR OWN MEDICAL RECORDS WITH YOU let alone an obgyn but whatever, so I opted for them to send it themselves and she rudely asked me if i wanted to keep my future appointment, i told her yes I do thats my last appointment. Fast forward to a MONTH LATER, my new obgyn hasn't called me back for my transfer (because again they needed medical records to sort everything out) they have told me on the phone TODAY they have not received A THING FROM THIS PLACE since I last been here about my medical records. So I come in today for my appointment and not only that for my medical records status as well. I tried calling to tell them I would be a bit late because of traffic but no one answered and it was nearing lunch time my appointment was at 11:45 mind you, I got there around almost just in time for lunch unfortunately. So I came talked to the front desk lady about my appointment, that fat girl showed up and told me that the doctor appointed to me was gone and was being snarky and told me "why did you make an appointment if you are transferring anyway" mind you I dont have an stable obgyn until I get those medical papers to my new one so obviously the safe bet would to be having one last appointment until things go through, but clearly she's too stupid to even realize that so my bad for thinking she had common sense. So after she told me that I asked her about the medical records and she said they were sent which obviously they weren't it's been a month and a half it DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG FOR FAXING MEDICAL RECORDS. So I knew she was lying, I got sick of this as I was already stressed with them enough as well as personal life and again IM PREGNANT, IM 30 WEEKS MIND YOU so I already have enough to deal with as it is, so I just had her give me my medical records myself, I WAS CHARGED $21 FOR MY MEDICAL RECORDS OUT OF MY POCKET. I'm more frustrated at the fact that I felt tricked into paying them for my medical records because at this point it seems like they did this on purpose and they refuse to take accountability for their actions as well. Very disappointed with my experience with Jessica. While she has an overall pleasant demeanor, she consistently orders unauthorized tests that are NOT necessary, including the same tests multiple (4+) times per year. When following up with the office, they say that their medical professionals are authorized to complete whichever tests they want, and will not provide additional compensation. The only reason you should go to her is if you have a lot of money and are fine paying for the same tests again and again, even though you explicitly tell her and her nurse NO. read more

I saw APN Averitt for over 10 years. I do live with multiple sclerosis. When I was 31 I asked about my options to freeze my eggs. I was met with bigotry. I was told should I even have kids living with my disease. There's no medical reason I shouldn't have kids, but this practitioner's ignorance & ableism shamed me so profoundly that I stopped getting gynelogical care for 3 years after this experience. It would have been more professional to say they didn't know enough about my condition and to refer me to a different gynecologist or a practice that can educate on egg freezing. I had an appointment on 1-27-2020 at 10am. I received a phone call that morning around 7:30 am, stating that my Doctor wasn't able to make it in today as she is sick. And I shall call to reschedule an appointment. No problem to me, it happens! Here is what bothers me: I called to reschedule the same day and was sent to voicemail. I called almost every other day and couldn't reach anyone. I must've left 6-7 voicemails and never received a call back. I'm an endometriosis patient and in a lot of pain. As we all know, it takes forever to receive an OBGYN appointment. I'm speechless not ever receiving a call back or ever able to reach anyone. Dr. Torres would receive 5 stars too bad office operations isn't as good. I've been going here for 9 years, but since the "merger of systems" the office hasn't been the same. Very difficult to get in contact with someone or have a phone call returned. Do not press "0" for operator as you will never get connected. Good luck trying to get FMLA paperwork filled out in the timeframe they say 7-10 business days or have Caroline followup with you. I was told multiple times that a message was sent to her and that she would contact me. She never did. I finally went in person and front desk said she was filling out my paperwork (1 page so I can return to work) right than and couldn't come talk to me because she lost her voice. If you don't mind driving and going in person to make appointments or talk to a person the doctors are great. Good luck getting to them. read more

I'll first start off by saying... if I could give this 0 or negative starts I would. I used to come here back in 2017-2018 when I had my first child. When I started reading the other reviews the other day I just could not believe what was being said. So today I go in for my appointment. I called yesterday because I out of the blue started for "that time of the month" I called and they said it's fine I could come in and still do a pap. I told them it's really important as I'm trying to get approved to be a surrogate for a really lovely family. I get there, fill out all the paperwork and an extra form to have them release my medical records. The lady at the front was super sweet and helpful. Fast forward some time and I get called back with the nurse. She goes through the process and then got really nasty with me. Saying "oh we can't do the pap while you are on your period" What do you mean you can't?! I called yesterday and you guys said to come in that it's fine. She then tried to backpedal and said oh only if you are light. Okay well I am. We get back to the room and my dr is saying how he hadn't seen me in so long. Asked what I was there for and I explained what I'm there for. He tried to recruit me. As I was telling him I wanted to be a surrogate, he tells me another one of his patients is looking for a surrogate and if I'd be interested... ummm as much as I'd love to help I'm already going through an agency... he starts checking me out and 2 seconds in he says "oh we can't do a pap today since you are on that time of month" At this point I'm frustrated and angry. I am pretty tight with money right now. And wasted $60 to Uber to and from this place that told me they could do it. Only to be turned away. Wasted my time, money, and patience. As I was leaving the front lady who was really nice asked if I needed another appointment. I told her no as I will not be back to this location. She all of a sudden was cold and turned away. Needless to say I won't be back to this location. Even online and everyone I know says you can get a Pap smear while even heavily bleeding. But not me. I don't know what's the problem with all the belly aching is. I was treated very professional and understanding . All very helpful. They got me in right away with my problem being severe. Front desk was polite and Eva really helped me get in so fast Saw Dr.Tyre. Very compassionate and honest doctor. I was in horrific pain and she was so gentle and careful. So, I think they may have gotten a new office staff. Don't know cause it was my first visit. I was expecting the worse when I read the reviews. Yes their phone service isn't too great. I had no choice but to go to this place because Medical "was" my current coverage and it was the only location close to me, excepted my current insurance and it made sense. That was about 9 years ago, then I visited again about 2 yrs ago BOTH visits were HORRIBLE!!! When you become a PROFESSIONAL IN THE MEDICAL field, you got to have some COMPASSION in you. Why do patients come to see you if your in the medical field??? Its because they need CARE!!!!!!!!!!! Ms. Tyre and Ms. Averitt you are both on the wall of SHAME !!!! WHO gives you two the RIGTH to say "sarcastic" remarks to patients?? Weather we are on medical/medicaid, black/brown/white, poor/middle-class/rich WE DESERVE to be TREATED WITH RESPECT!!! Do the math, within the last 10 years I went there twice, and my visits were HORRIBLE. I wanted to bath mouth the whole office because of my visit with the actual doctor. overall experience really sucked. they dinged my insurance as a no show when I notified them twice I wasn't coming back & they told me it was their fault!! I had to call multiple days in a row to get ahold of medical records. the doctor had a gave me incorrect info regarding VBAC statistics instead of just simply saying she didn't want to, didn't feel comfortable to, whatever her reasoning may be. very unsatisfied with this office. read more

I am a long time patient and am so happy Green Valley OB/GYN has Jessica on staff. She is amazing, caring and takes time to listen to my concerns. This review has two stars because the administrative support staff needs improvement. Good luck to anyone expecting to get a return phone call or having them treat you with any ounce of respect or care. Not sure what happened, but they do not answer the phone or call back even when you leave a message. I haven't had this issue until recently. I need a prescription refill and it's impossible to get a hold on anyone in this office. It's insane. I have no choice but to go elsewhere. Who ever is running the office is doing a horrible job. Extremely unprofessional front desk staff! After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I asked when I would be seen and the girl got an attitude with me. She told me I was next and I explained that they told me that 30 minutes ago. She said "WELL the doctor can spend a half hour with a patient!" If I didn't already pay my copay, I would have walked out. I used to be a patient here a few years ago and stopped coming because I felt that the nurse practitioner did not treat a certain situation right and I ended up in the ER. I came back today because another doctor said this other doctor is highly recommended. Another note about the staff...I shouldn't have to navigate through nurses and staff laughing and joking around in the hallway. Literally four or five people...super loud and not acting like this is a doctor's office. read more

I need to start by I love my doctor Silvia, the there are things she can't control, like waiting for Caroline to call you back, which will be NEVER!!!
