I chose to see Dr Ivie but another doctor took over. Very sad to say that I didn't feel comfortable with the substitute.

The location is super convenient for running errands, as places like the post office and UPS are minutes away. The initial scheduling was easy. I requested an appointment online and they reached out via phone to confirm the appointment and gather info. Check-in online was also really easy. I arrived about 20 minutes early for my 1:15pm appointment, but the doors were locked until 1:00pm due to the lunch break. Luckily I didn't have to wait long. A lot of people were waiting in line to check in, but check-in was really quick. There was plenty of seating in the waiting area and a spacious accessible bathroom. The wait after the actual appointment time was only about 10 minutes. The practitioner who brought me to the room and did vitals and initial notes was really friendly and helped me feel comfortable. The room itself seemed like it needed an update. It seemed clean enough but a little rough around the edges. It wasn't very comforting if you were going off look and feel alone. Once I was in the check-up room, I didn't wait much longer for Nurse Garcia. She was very friendly, energetic, and she made the appointment as comfortable as possible for me. There were some things she needed to pass along for a future appointment with the gynecologist, but she did offer helpful details about my condition as well as a prescription that I read beforehand could be helpful. I felt like I could trust her expertise. All-in-all, the appointment went smoothly and I wouldn't mind returning based on my first experience here!

When we finally asked the front desk about the wait, the staff member said she didn't know we were waiting for blood work. She then explained that the lab staff were at lunch and it would be another hour. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We can't continue going somewhere with that level of disorganization. The Nurse Practitioner herself was excellent and did a great job, which is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. However, if the office is this unorganized, I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with our baby's care.

I decided to wait a smidge before leaving this review, but honestly I'm SO glad I found Dr…read more Stepanida Freeman on Yelp!!! WOW!!! Pardon my long review... I had been going to another OBGYN, but when my fertility doctor mentioned that I needed surgery to remove my endometriosis before moving on to more treatment, I went back to that OBGYN that I had been seeing for yeaaaaars and they were less than helpful. They literally wouldn't see me till end of June (I believe I called in April... wild right?!). So, I hit up Yelp to see if I could find another OBGYN that I would feel comfortable enough with. I searched and found Empowered OBGYN and Dr. Stepanida Freeman. I made the appointment and they mentioned that she wasn't available that day, but that they would have a nurse practitioner chat with me about the surgery and get it scheduled instead. No problem! They were able to book me an appointment TWO WEEKS from the day I called! Much better than nearly two months!!! I was already so impressed. A week before my appointment, I just went in to fill out some paperwork to have my fertility doctor send over all my documentation to them beforehand so I wouldn't have to repeat myself too much haha. Filled out the paperwork and they actually DID get my records from my fertility clinic. LOVED THAT! I came in for my appointment, and every single staff member was incredible and so kind. As I was waiting for the nurse practitioner to come in, the kind staff member that brought me in to the room popped her head in and said, you know what, the doctor said she has some time, so she's just going to come in and chat with you instead. HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! Dr. Freeman was so nice and she's so soft spoken and makes you feel so comfortable. I loved her demeanor and her knowledge. She explained to me the surgery and said someone would reach out to get me scheduled. She also asked if I wanted a pelvic exam since I was there and I said sure! Seriously so nice. When my surgery came, Dr. Freeman obviously performed it and came and talked with me right before hand. I had looked up photos before of what the incisions looked like for this type of surgery, and was so nervous about having these huge reminders on my stomach. Nope! The incisions were so tiny and I healed pretty quickly. I just went in for my post opp appointment and she walked me through showing photos of what she did during the surgery. Absolutely incredible what she was able to do! She removed a cyst from my ovary and kept it in tact and assured me my ovary was good to go! My husband and I were laughing after at how she was like oh yeah I did this, like it wasn't the most impressive thing either of us have heard haha. One of the things I also loved was that she even remembered the name of my fertility doctor and asked when I was seeing her next. Didn't have to look at records or anything! I appreciated that attention to detail, and truly made me feel like she really knows and cares about me as a patient. You don't find that a lot with doctors these days, and even though it seemed like a minor thing to others, it didn't go unnoticed with me and my husband. She is so caring for her patients! I am so appreciative to Dr. Freeman, and I know if (god willing) /when I am pregnant, I trust her whole heartedly for my pregnancy and delivery. I'm so happy to have found a new OBGYN whom I trust!!! As well as the rest of the staff she has here, they are ALL amazing and kind and incredibly caring! I don't ever feel rushed and it honestly feels like every one of her employees and herself are just truly happy to be there. It makes the worlds difference!

The glucose test is the worst. Seems like a Ponzi scheme for profit: You do not really get to see doctors to much. I got canceled on last minute headed to a later afternoon appointment 9 months pregnant about 30 minutes before scheduled appointment. This OB-GYN delivers at Henderson & St Rose Dominican hospital. Henderson hospital NICU/ maternity & delivery closed permanently 9/30/26. Meaning for people like me, insurance is not covered at St.Rose Dominican by care source insurance in particular. I verbalized my concern in my third trimester of "where am I going to deliver" & pretty much told by a physician I understand your concern this is an issue currently here. Dismissed & minimize. It was suggested I go to the emergency room of my convenience when the time comes. Then my insurance may "cover" I am high risk gestational diabetic. I am going to have to wait until natural labor, even if I am diabetic & all the factors what come with it on insulin. Henderson woman's care will not even consider inducing before 39 weeks gestation. What a joke. Just keep scheduling patients, & keep them pregnant for profit. 37 weeks used to be full term for high risk. I verbalized my frustration to a doctor & I was told it would be hard to get into another OB-GYN this far gestation as a Henderson, NV resident. What a relief? Sike. They can't refer me anywhere else to deliver they said! I got my prenatal documents emailed at check out for whenever I do go into labor, the doctor said I bring it with me to whatever emergency room I end up in... I will be getting delivered by a stranger pretty much. Not knowing where your birthing or delivering hits different at 37 weeks. Therefore I cannot get induced, even if I NEEDED from gestational diabetes. I told the doctor of experiencing delivery prior at 37 weeks gestation healthy 6-7 pound babies. Her response said "do I want a baby in NICU" I've delivered perfectly healthy babies at 37 weeks gestation & high risk. It's really unbelievable. Not necessarily the fault of physicians. Henderson hospital closing screwed over SOOOO many pregnant woman. A simple limbo warning as a pregnant woman during Henderson hospital permanently closing maternity, NICU & delivery 9/30/26... I guess squat on a totem pole if you have Medicaid in Henderson, NV.

I waited and still continued to have pain. I ordered my medical records from the hospital and low and behold he did not perform a Salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of ovaries AND fallopian tubes) he only took out my OVARIES! When I confronted him about it, he said my previous doctor must have removed them. So I went to my initial doctor AND requested those records and NO, he did not remove my ovaries. Main Character Energy--In the Best Way Possible…read more I don't even know where to start because "thank you" feels way too small for what Dr. Rosenbaum has been to me. From the very beginning, she went so far beyond what any doctor is expected to do that it honestly felt like I had someone in my corner at all times. Not just medically--but emotionally too. I'm someone who gets really anxious with doctors and medical situations, and she saw that immediately. And instead of brushing it off or rushing through appointments like so many do, she stepped in--again and again--without ever being asked. There were moments where she absolutely didn't have to get involved, but she did anyway. She advocated for me, she reassured me, and she made me feel safe in situations where I otherwise would've been overwhelmed. The fact that she even came to the ER for me says everything about the kind of doctor--and person--she is. Who does that anymore? That's not just professionalism, that's genuine care. One thing that will always stay with me is how much attention she gave during my C-section. She took extra time on the final layer of stitching because I have a tattoo, and she wanted it to look perfect. That level of detail, patience, and respect for something that mattered to me... I've honestly never experienced anything like that in healthcare before. Most people would've just finished and moved on--but not her. She also never pressured me into decisions. When it came to delivery, she supported my choice to wait, fully respected my wishes, and made me feel like I had control over my own experience--even though things didn't end up going exactly how I planned. That kind of support is rare, and it meant everything to me. And she didn't just disappear after the surgery--she came to see me every single day. Not rushed, not distant, but present, kind, and genuinely invested in how I was doing. If I had to sum it up: she is the kind of doctor people hope to find but almost never do. She has that rare mix of skill, compassion, attention to detail, and actual heart. She made one of the most intense and vulnerable experiences of my life feel safe, supported, and human. She's not just an amazing doctor--she's the best doctor I've ever met in my life. Truly. If you're under her care, you are beyond lucky.

More like Legacy for Putting Profit Over Patients…read more TLDR: They require an annual pap, whether you need one or not. I initially wrote a glowing review of this practice. My first appointment was incredible! I felt heard. I felt believed. But things quickly took a turn. I was told to come back in a month after trying the new birth control and being put on a low dose of Metformin to control my insulin resistance. I was told to take 500mg once daily for 30 days, and we would add another 500mg at my next appointment if I tolerated the meds well enough. The goal was to eventually get up to 2000mg, but Dr. Eisert wanted to do it gradually to minimize side effects. I was only prescribed 30 tablets, consistent with what Dr. Eisert and I discussed. When I returned in 30 days, I saw his PA, Tina. She was lovely! However, she seemed confused as to why I was there. She showed me a chart and read from what I believe was my clinical summary of my last visit. I was supposed to add 500mg of metformin every week, so long as I tolerated the drug. I should have already been at 2000mg by then. But again, I was only prescribed 30 tablets for 30 days, and the prescription bottle said to take one pill daily. She told me she would refill my meds and said I didn't need any follow-ups. I took that to mean that I would have to come back within a year to continue receiving medications, but that I didn't need routine follow-ups every few months. My prescription was still wrong. I only received 30 tablets. I sent a message in the portal and it was corrected, but they forgot to give me refills. So I contacted them this week. I received a message that the doctor wasn't comfortable prescribing more medications after this month without an annual exam. I just saw the provider 6 months ago. So I call. The scheduler was very kind. But she explained that the office policy is that I am required to get an annual pap smear in order to receive medication. I informed her that I just saw Dr. Eisert 6 months ago and also had a pap with my primary doctor in August. She doubled down and said it had to be a pap smear. I am 40 years old with no history of abnormal cervical cancer or HPV results, nor do I have a family history of cancer. ACOG guidelines and my primary doctor say I'm all set for 5 years. Not to mention that a pap is traumatic for many women like me with a history of sexual assault. This isn't a simple blood test. This is an invasive exam. The scheduler suggested I speak to the nurse, Amy, to see what can be done. I spoke to her this morning. She was abrupt and dismissive. She said that since my primary doctor did my pap last year (before I established care with Legacy), then she could go ahead and prescribe my medications from now on and ended the conversation. Current guidelines do not recommend yearly Pap smears for many women, including someone with my screening history. I truly struggle to see any other motive than money here.
