I got a mani-pedi here and had an amazing time. My nails look fantastic and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. They were very friendly, even when I had to come back after smudging my big toes. They also kept my rings safe when I forgot them there overnight. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Went to Green Tea Nails for the first time with a gift certificate for a manicure. I was pleasantly surprised with the time and care they took. Place was incredibly clean, everyone was very friendly and they didn't rush me out, like many other places in town. read more

I've been going to Green Tea Nails for a couple years now to get my eyebrows waxed. In the past year or so, this place has been under new management. The old managers had different employees working, and when they waxed my eyebrows, it didn't hurt at all. They were gentle, blew on the wax to cool it off, pressed on the skin after waxing, etc. These new managers have hired people that don't do any of that. In fact, one of the employees didn't even blow on the wax, and put very hot wax on my eyebrows. They also aren't gentle with the waxing either. They peel the waxing paper off seconds after applying the wax, instead of waiting a moment before peeing it off. So, I'm currently looking for new places to go to, because I am not impressed with the new staff that do waxes here. read more

Poor service ... Not very clean ... Horrible pedicure and the nails weren't much better ... Pricey too ... Won't be returning

I have been to every nail place in Wallingford...this place is the best! French Shellac for 35...here's the pros: 1) guarantee their work for 2 weeks 2) hot towel AND stone massage!!! 3) sterilized, sealed tools opened fresh each time 4) wrap each finger in foil, not whole hand in a bowl Listen, for the money, there is no other place to go! read more

Green Tea is simply the best. I recently relocated to New York City and I STILL make sure to get a Shellac manicure and a spa pedicure when I'm in town for a visit. The owner, Mina, is a super-nice, fabulous lady. The decor is clean, bright, and airy, and the classical music is very pleasant. The technique is consistently spot-on from every tech. I love to see Lulu when I get a pedicure. I will say that there was a period of time when they were consistently behind schedule and making an appointment sometimes was just a formality - you'd still have to wait 20 minutes for them to be ready for you. But I can promise you those days are long gone! They really stepped up their game last summer and have kept it consistent. Furthermore, I've referred several friends and family members to Green Tea and they have all had great experiences. Green Tea prefers tips in cash but if you ask Mina ahead of time, she will usually accommodate you if you don't have cash on you. And honestly, there are 2 ATMs within 2 minutes, so take the extra couple minutes and get cash out. You get a 5% discount for paying in cash anyway! Clearly, I love this place. The salons I've tried in NY have not even held a candle to Green Tea's passion and professionalism. Keep up the good work, Mina! read more

I'm 41, have lived in all areas of the country and experienced many manicures in my life, this was BY FAR the worst. First, I made an appointment for myself and my daughter for her 5th birthday. That didn't seem to matter- it was 20 minutes after the appt time that they finally took us. I've never had a quicker, more rushed manicure in my life. It was almost like the 2 nail tech's working on us were annoyed we were there, and couldn't be done quick enough. They were rough and the manicures were done in 15 minutes. The polish job was awful, they didn't even cover the whole nail, and most of my nails were chipped before the next morning. I wouldn't get another nail service there if I was paid to go. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I used to love this place...when it sold to new owners last year I was disappointed but figured I would give it a chance because all of the previous workers were still there. Well, I went in this week and found that nearly all of them (except one) were gone! I was disappointed. Then I had a very young man do my feet. He did work hard but it took him almost two hours. My nails came out good but my leg massage was not good. That is one of my favorite parts. He had long nails and they dug into my legs as he was massaging. So I am looking for a new place now. I just heard the previous owners opened a place in Hamden so I think I will check that out. I am sad because I did love this place, but it is not the same. read more

I just returned from having a wonderful relaxing pedicure and manicure. Always extremely clean and follow all health rules. I highly recommend Green Tea Nails for the best service and an extremely valuable price. I don't understand Nicholl S, why didn't you speak up at the time? Hard to believe your experience. read more

I am seriously obsessed with Green Tea Nails! I have been coming here for a few years now and whenever I am home in the area visiting family I make sure I make time to go for the Deluxe Spa Pedicure which is incredible. I have gotten my mom hooked on it as well and I'm jealous she lives close enough to go whenever she wants! Not only is this pedicure an amazing deal but it is seriously the most comprehensive pedicure I have ever had. This pedicure has callus removal, a hot stone massage, an extended foot and leg massage which is heavenly and a paraffin wax heel treatment. While your nails are drying they also come over and give you a back and neck massage which is a great way to end the treatment. The ladies here are all very talented but Luna is by far my favorite, she does the best leg massage! The service here is great and I love that you can bring your own tools and have them stored, even without your own tools Green Tea is super clean so I feel okay using theirs. I have gone to a ton of salons and nothing comes close to this pedicure even at high end spas. Keep up the good work Green Tea! read more

My favorite place in Wallingford! As someone who regularly has their nails done (2-3x/month) this is by far my favorite place to go. It is clean, they're friendly, and the service is comparable to the price. A regular pedicure is $25 and gets you a paraffin heel treatment, a leg massage (with hot stone), and a neck/back massage while drying (with a hot towel draped around your neck). read more

That's what I get for being impatient and not going to my usual salon. First impression was rushed as I was trying to pick a color. Was walked to the chair, usually they push the chair in for you and move your purse to an open seat next to you if they see you putting it on the floor, neither happened. Asked to use the restroom first, was not pointed in the direction of the bathroom, I had never been there before. I walked into the bathroom and the toilet seat was up. The young man who did my nails did a horrible job filing, I had to ask him multiple times to fix the nails that were clearly unevenly filed about 3 times before giving up. He also filed way too square for what I asked. Needless to say I filed my nails when I got home. The exterior wasn't very inviting and neither was the inside, looked a little dingy and bland. I was tempted to ask if they were in the middle of renovating. The cost of a gel manicure was $25 which is about $7 less than what I usually pay. You get for what you pay for, a rushed, uneven gel manicure. I won't be back. read more

I always went to Green Tea for pedicures, but after having to wait several times because of walk-ins even though I had an appointment, I have stopped going. The last time I went, I had to remind the man giving me a pedicure of what to do. He rushed through the process, making it not at all enjoyable. When I complained to the owner, I was told he was a "technician" not a "pedicurist" as if that was somehow my fault. Didn't get a discount and won't ever go back. read more

I went for a mani-pedi (cost $37), which came out nicely but I wasn't too pleased with the experience. I had scheduled an appointment yet when I got there, all the chairs were full and I had to wait 20 minutes. The woman who did my pedicure did a very nice job (massage and hot stone included) and didn't rush so my nails came out very nice. The woman who did my manicure was gossiping the whole time with her co-worker (she spoke Spanish, I understood everything she was saying) and kept looking away from my hands so my nails are much shorter than I asked, and the nail polish is streaky. The entire time I was there, it was quite noisy so it wasn't very relaxing. The place seemed to be run more like a factory than a salon. However, I will say it was a clean and well-kept place, but it was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. I will probably not be going back here. read more

The worst "salon" I have ever been to. I asked for a manicure and full set. My cuticles were never touched, every nail was uneven and sloppy. I asked for them to be fixed and was told "OK I do it". I felt so rushed and ignored. I was asked to pay prior to completion so I tipped well (as I always do). I left very unhappy and returned the next day for her to fix them. She was angry with me and telling me thats what I asked for....so she "fixed" them. They'll looked just as sloppy as the first time and filed my skin until I was bleeding. The place is filthy with nail clippings all over the tables. I should have just walked out. I learned my lesson. Two weeks later I went to another salon that was recommended to me in Branford. I would never recommend this place to anyone! read more

This place is great! I just moved into the area, and I went in today for a manicure and pedicure. Despite being very busy, they honored my appointment time exactly. I am very pleased with the quality of my manicure and pedicure!! Everyone was very nice and accommodating, and the salon is very clean and tidy. Not to mention, my services only cost me $35!! I will definitely be returning for regular appointments! read more

I just went to Green Tea nails for an eyebrow wax and pedicure. Everyone was very nice and everything turned out great. They thanked me for coming there for the first time and gave a back massage as my toes were drying. It is very clean and pleasant inside as well. read more

I absolutely love this place. Clean, friendly, and relaxing. Reasonably priced as well. I went in yesterday for a pedicure and shellac manicure, went home and 4 hours later my thumb nail cracked! Went back today and they took care of it in 10 minutes, glued the crack, re-did the manicure on that finger, for no charge. Such great customer service! Highly recommend! read more

Clean, friendly, great services. I come here for nails and waxing. Always a great experience. make sure to call ahead to see if there is an opening because they certainly get busy! read more

Service was well below acceptable. I called ahead to schedule a manicure/pedicure, once I got there I was told to wait. After ten minutes I was brought over to the pedicure chair, only to have my toes soak for another ten minutes unattended. And this was just the beginning of the two hours I spent being waited on and ignored by multiple people. Terrible service and not worth the money. read more

My favorite place for a pedicure. 20 minute foot and leg massage with the spa pedicure. Very clean. Friendly staff

Customer Beware!! My daughter went to Green Tea Nails for a manicure with acrylic tips. When she got home I was livid when she showed me the cuts and told me about her manicure. The woman who did the manicure was terrible. She cut my daughters cuticle multiple times causing them to bleed and have visible cuts. Also while filing her little finger she sliced through the skin on the side of her nail causing it to bleed. Then she proceeded to put on the nail cleaner which burned intensely. My poor daughter sat there in pain thinking this was ok. I took my daughter back to Green Tea Nail to find out what happened. I spoke with a man and the woman who did my daughters nails. The woman denied she cut her cuticles. She kept saying she only buffed them. Both the man and the woman tried to blame my daughter for not telling them she did not want the cuticles cut. She did want the dead skin trimmed but not cut and bleeding. Not once did they take responsibility or say sorry. In the end the man shoved $30 at me and said "here refund!". Still no sorry or anything. Customer service is non existent. I don't want anyone else to have to endure this kind of treatment. Go somewhere else!! read more
