Let me start off by saying that this is not my usual salon (I live in Philadelphia, but my boyfriend lives in Willow Grove so sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do) but it's good for an every once and awhile manicure. They have a ton of chairs so waiting has never really been an issue for me. If you're getting a pedicure they provide you with a pillow for your lap in case you want to read or just be more cozy. They have a ton of colors for gel (a very extensive selection I might say) but I'm not super sure on how keen they are on the design game. Some nail salons are great at designs, and others can do them but quietly don't want to, but I'm not really sure which kind of salon this is in that respect. They give you a mini neck massage at the end, as well as the option to dip your hands in hot wax for added luxury. My manicures from here don't normally last as long as my normal place, but it'll do every once in awhile. All the ladies are super friendly though so that's good! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about this nail salon! The staff is great, they do an amazing job and truly care. Upon your arrival, they offer green tea or water while you get your nails done. Green tea is in infused in all the products they use...the massage oils & lotions. They do a parafin wax when you get a manicure (and they don't charge extra for it). Also, the owner is great. She's always here to make sure everything runs smoothly and make sure all her customers have the best experience. Not to mention, the massage is the best part. They massage your feet for a minimum of 10 minutes for your pedicure and approximately 10 mins for your back while you nails dry. I moved about 30 minutes away and I still travel as often as I can to get my nails done here. I haven't found a nail salon near me that even comes close to being as amazing as Green Tea nail salon is. I love, love, love Green area Nails and Spa!! Have been there before once, and services were ok. Returned yesterday, and received the worst service ever. Pedicure was mediocre at best, and the polish is already chipping. Evon did my nails and eyebrows. My eyebrows looked ok at the time, but after coming home, noticed eyebrows were brushed to cover the mistakes that were made! Crooked and very poorly done. The worst part was the manicure. My cuticles were cut until they were bleeding. Her response "well you have thick cuticles that need to be cut". Continued handling my hands while they were bleeding, and did not put on gloves. Put a bunch of stuff on the cuts that stung. After manicure, noticed the tool package, and that it had her name on it, and that there was no color change on the package, which means the tools were not sterile!!! Today, my fingers are sore, with open cuts, and redness. Pretty sure they are becoming infected. Also, it is extremely rude to make fun of your clients in another language. We may not understand exactly what you are saying, but we can sure get the idea from your body language. You can give out all the tea you want, it doesn't matter when the product you provide is done poorly and is unsanitary!! Will never go there again, and if I do get an infection, you better believe, I will be filing a complaint with the health department!!!! read more

Don't waste your time or money! It looks nice from the outside but inside is tacky and not clean.. My nails look Horrible and I was getting worked on for over 2 hours! There was attention to detail until it came to putting on the nail polish! My boyfriend could have done a better job! I did the express pedi and regular mani - vinyl ($5 extra) She got polish all over my skin and tried to get it off but that didn't work! I've never had to have someone go around every nail with polish remover! Both mani and pedi polish that made it on my nails are uneven - she was so shaky it was like we were on a roller coaster! When I saw the polish selection I should have walked out.. but I had not had a pedicure in months so I was desperate to feel good. There were at least 5 plus chairs open. And she sat me in a seat with a ripped up chair that didn't work. (One of the reasons I go is for the chair). Should have walked out... tells me to put my feet into the water. I did it was freezing and I realized there was NO LINER! EW! Three strikes should have walked out. I waited more than 10 minutes and called before coming. I asked for a regular pedicure. She wiped my legs and feet down with a hot towel. Cut my nails. Barely cleaned them.. meanwhile the sink next to me over flowed onto my sneakers and stuff . The floor around was soaking wet. When I got up I slipped and pulled a muscle in my hip and back. I decided to leave after looking at the AWFUL paint job done. As you can see. There was also skin hanging off my foot that wasn't there before. This place should be shut down. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I will. I arrived at 5:30 this Friday evening. I was greeted my a frantic woman who, the last time I was here, was really friendly. They had several women getting pedicures, but only one getting a manicure. I generally have my gel polish off before I walk in, but there's really holds up (they're only plus). After sitting around for 30 minutes with acetone soaking my nails and this point BURNING my skin - they kicked me out of my seat for someone else. They proceeded to take care of two young girls who came in after me. Note, this all accorded after I had asked them if I could book an appointment for my bridal party and flower girl to have our nails done in August for my wedding. Obviously they aren't getting my business. The women were exceptionally rude and disrespectful. They made no attempt to right their wrong. I removed the acetone/foil wraps off my own fingers and chipped off the polish into a near by trashcan. Which is where I now write this. I'm thoroughly disappointed by this experience, because my first visit went so well. Stay away from this place if you expect even decent customer service. read more

Okay so first of all: Nope. Not having it. The only good things were the massage at the end and the relaxing music. Which they DEFINITELY need being the entire salon looks like a bomb exploded. Ok so where to begin.... Walk in. I tell them I want a gel full set French (common enough) and I had to explain 3 times what it was. They said oh pink and white so I said yeah sure. I was over it. Sit down. The one woman from the front desk says to my nail tech right in front of me something like "are you sure you can do a pink and white, maybe so and so should do it..." etc you get the point. So I'm already thinking. "Great, a newb" but we all have to start somewhere! So it's fine. She starts and I ask "you can do them right?" She says yeah yeah. So I'm like okay. She starts and she gets this really dark pink gel and I'm like "I'd like the light pink, or whatever you have that's as natural as possible." She tries to convince me to do the dark pink, so I repeat myself. I could see in the jar that there was a lot more dark pink than there was light pink, so I got the feeling they were just trying to use up the dark pink. Not having it. But it's still fine! Slightly irritated but anyone in sales has tried this technique so, again, I get it. THEN she starts clipping my nails down, normal procedure, and she missed the one corner of my pinky nail, I mean it was cut like a dagger! So I point it out for her to fix it, also so I don't stab her by accident, and she huffs and does it quickly, then all of a sudden decides to pass me on to another nail tech? She said she'll do a better job. THATS great! Like what? Who says that? So I very confused stand up and walk over to another seat with my dagger cut finger nails and start with the new nail tech. Very sweet at first. She starts to shape my nails square so I remind her I want oval and she says "yeah I know" so there's that. So after doing the white tips horribly free handed she gives me rounded square tip nails. I kid you not when I say that I said "I want them round" 8+ times and I got attitude for it, only to get square nails. So I MAKE her fix it. HA! At the end of the disaster, she tells me she never shaped oval nails before? I'm curious, her being a nail technician, what rock she'd have to live under to never have done an oval French before.... Pros- Quick to seat. Fully staffed on Sunday afternoon. Good massage chairs. The technician did well with painting nails. Answered phone promptly when I called in. Pleasant muzac playing. Cons- Cleanliness not a standard. Floor, station, and dry lamps all needed cleaning while staff sat on their phones talking. The technician hurt me twice: cut my big toe nail too short and poked a tool under my fingernail. She also felt the need to 'remind' me that tip wasn't included in my cc payment when I hadn't added it on. Would I go back regularly? No. In a pinch? Yes. But I will remember that o avoid this particular technician, if and when I ever do go back (no names... not out to get anyone axed). read more

I've been going here for a couple years and haven't had a problem yet. There's never usually a wait when you walk in. I usually get a spa pedicure. It's an a average nail place (maybe a little bit above average) but I always go here because they do a lot of massaging during the pedicure,after your manicure and when you're sitting at the dryer and that's enough to make me a regular. The parking lot is super small/annoying that they share with a couple other businesses but there's some street parking. read more

How do I describe my visit today? In three simple words: "won't be returning" . I went to Green Tea today for the first time and was quite disgusted. As I was sitting in the cold water for 30 minutes it revealed to me how the pedicure tubs aren't washed out after the previous customer. The water is simply drained and the blue stuff is sprinkled in and they begin filling it for the next person. The towels are interchangeably used between stations and the tools they use are never sterilized. I may sound picky or particular but cleanliness is extremely important when your getting work done on your hands and feet. The best part of the visit was the massage that I received, However, I couldn't really enjoy it because the employees were arguing with eachother. And they leave the doors open which allowed for cigarette smoke to blow into the spa. The manicure was painful and bloody and the lady was too busy looking away at other people as she was gouging out my cuticles. To sum it all up: If you dont mind, dirty tubs for your feet, tools used on everyone and not sterilized, being rushed through your experience there, cigarette smoke or gouging of the cuticles...then this just may be the place for you. read more

I don't usually write reviews, however, I have never experienced anything like this at a nail salon. I have been going here on and off for years, and today the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. I went in for gel manicure and a pedicure. I chose my color, but changed my mind on what color I wanted before my nail tech even started polishing. Upon picking my new color, my nail tech told the manager that I wanted a new color. The manager came up to me and yelled in my face as she said "You need to make sure when you pick a color you know what you want!!!!". When I originally picked my color on the palette, it didn't look the same as it did on the bottle, so I simply wanted to change the color to one I liked more. Like I said, my nails hadn't even started being polished yet. Customers should not be talked to this way by management, especially over something as little as wanting to change their color. She continued to yell at the nail tech who was doing my nails. I decided it wasn't worth my business. I will not be returning to a place who treats their customers or employees like this. read more

I haven't had a pedicure since 2006 and my Hobbit feet were in dire need of some TLC since we have warmer weather just around the corner. I noticed this place is new so I opted to try it out because flip-flop season is upon us and...well...I friggin' deserve a treat once in a Blue Moon because I'm usually trudging around after my two sons all day long. I was greeted by smiling, kind faces who immediately got me set up in my comfy massage chair. Then, I was handed some really nice, warm green tea. The music was peaceful and soothing and my pedicure commenced right after I selected the "Express Pedicure" from my nail technician Jenny. Well, Jenny made me feel like a queen. With the "Express Pedicure," I received a hot stone massage, a leg massage and tough attention to how rough of a shape my feet were in. It didn't hurt either, as a matter of fact...it tickled...since I'm extremely ticklish. Jenny was gentle and attentive. After 45 minutes of callus removing, massages, soaking and the cutest bubblegum pink nail polish I've seen east of Equestria, I went over to dry off my polish. While that was going on, Jenny gave me a back massage. It was so relaxing and peaceful that I wanted to just fall asleep right there at the drying table. The crew was great, especially since I had my toddler in tow (he sat next to me the whole time and they spoke to him as he watched the process quietly from the chair next to me). Everyone was so friendly. The pedicure was very thorough and soothing (I loved the hot stones the most!). My nails and feet look 10 years younger. I no longer look like Bilbo Baggins from the ankles down. I'd highly recommend this place for your feet. I'm definitely going back for a basic manicure as I don't do faux nails anymore. Sit back, moms, and relax! You deserve to have your feet pampered and you WILL be pampered here at Green Tea Nails & Spa. Enjoy! read more

Keep meaning to write an updated review... have now been here 2 other times since my initial visit in April 2014. Once again on a Sunday afternoon and then on a Friday afternoon. Neither of these times were busy at all. 2nd time I tried the standard pedicure, it was about 3 minutes longer than the express... and hey I actually got lotion this time. Still no back/shoulder massage while drying. 3rd and final time I went back to the express... because why pay more for something I'm not getting, right? This time was actually the longest of any of my 3 visits and I actually got the apparently "much sought after" back/shoulder massage. Given the huge inconsistencies with my visits and never the same techs... I probably won't be back. read more

I have been to this place over a dozen times, and have been very happy with my experiences. I've generally had a different tech each time I go (for mani/spa pedi), and have always had a pleasant experience. I am always greeted pleasantly when I arrive, and if I've ever had to wait, it's only been a few minutes. I love that I can walk in with no appointment since my busy schedule doesn't usually allow my to schedule time to visit. Recently, I tried to go to a place a little bit closer to me, but was told that I would have to return in several hours... so that place is off my list. I have read some of the complaints about getting horrible manicures or pedicures, but that has not been my experience. It's also a very reasonably priced place. I do have to agree that they prefer cash, and offer a $5 discount if paying with cash. So, if I have it, I use it... but if not, they gladly take my credit card. You can also tip by credit card at this place, which isn't true of everywhere. read more

Nope - not happy with my gel mani. Very nice salon. Large & lots of techs. No tv's blasting some corny daytime show, but nice relaxing music playing over the speakers throughout. They do a massage at the end & offer beverages when you come in. Iced tea, water, hot tea. All plusses but my mani isn't done very well at all. I was asked if I wanted my nails filed down or cut. I said either as long as they're made even. They were soooo uneven. I had to say which nails to file down more. They were so long while I had super short at my fingertips length nails. Ok. She didn't make them all even after I explained ... Fine. BUT they weren't even filed even in shape. Square? Pointy? Rounded? No just filed any old way. Ugh I don't like this mani at all. Idk if it'll last the 2 weeks like most but I'm not sure if I'll go that long without getting another mani to fix it anyway. I might try them for a pedi because I drive by often, but won't be back for my fingers. This is the 2nd time I've been here for a pedicure (different technician each time). They are quick to get you in and I never feel rushed during my pedicures. I've had the Spa pedicure and the regular pedicure and both are great. The place is clean, relaxing and professional. Both times I've been here the leg/foot massages have been great. Also the polish job has been really good and has lasted about 2 weeks. They also give a nice shoulder and back massage while you're drying- again, not rushed (to give full disclosure, though, both times I've come have been mid-morning during the week when I'm sure most people are at work). Their pricing is competitive- $25 for the pedicure (especially the one they give) is more than fair especially considering all the massaging. It's $38 for the Spa- which takes considerably longer and involves more "upgrades" which are also relaxing. I'll continue to come back. read more

I have been to this salon many times. The ladies always do a good job and I have never had to wait. I get gel manicures and for $25 you get the standard manicure, paraffin wax treatment and a back massage while your nails are drying. The girls are always friendly and courteous as well. You also get a card on your first visit and after 5 visits you get $10 off any service. I think that is a great incentive and overall their services are a great value. read more

I got the express pedicure for $20 which included a few more bells and whistles then I expected. However, the salon does not practice good hygiene or even safety. Made an account here just to write about how bad of an experience I had here a few days ago. I went in and didn't know they were closing early for New Year's Eve and offered to leave and come back another day but a girl told me it was fine and they could do it in time. Then another girl told me I had to do an express pedicure instead of a normal one which was fine despite the whole thing being rushed and a total of five minutes. I easily could have done what I got in that rushed five minutes myself. She skipped half the things listed on the pamphlet and my toes were in the water for thirty seconds the whole time. Then I paid an extra 15 dollars for a chrome color gel manicure. The woman doing that kept yanking the gel machine as soon as she wanted the other hand in there and messing up the manicure then blaming me for touching around inside it. Then I go to pay and I assume it was the manager as she and the girl who did my fingernails were the only ones left there berated me for not tipping enough. Tipping is optional, they clearly are unaware but I always tip. However since I had a bad experience and was so rushed I didn't tip as much as they wanted. Not to mention, every girl in there is constantly on their phones and talking to each other. The manager or woman who I assume was the manager even insisted I go to the ATM for additional money to tip which was absolutely ridiculous. And the other girl complained about her tip. They have lost two frequent customers as my mother will not be returning after hearing about this either. read more

Since you won't see all the info, I visited the salon on 7/22/15 the day before I left for vacation. My nails almost 3 weeks later still look good. I will be visiting again soon though. :) Sorry I can't post the pic that I took however my nails were pink with an adorable flower on each big toe. REVIEW: My daughter comes here all the time, this is the first time I've come. It's a very soothing place, they do not rush.
